Während des Eintritts der Abdeckzunge 42 in den Bereich des Packgutbechers 13 ist die Abdeckzunge 42 so weit angehoben, daß sie die Beutelpackung 10 nach und nach überdeckt, ohne in Kontakt mit ihr zu gelagen. Der Schieber 27 wird ebenfalls in Richtung der Beutelpackung 10 bewegt, bis er schließlich diese berührt, ohne sie jedoch in dem Pachgutbecher 13 zu verschieben. Wenn die Press- und Einschiebvorrichtung 25 vollständig an den Packgutbecher 13 herangefahren ist, wird die Beutelpackung 10 von der Abdeckzunge 42 vollständig überdeckt, und die Stützrolle 35 gelangt aus dem Bereich der ersten Führungsschiene 44. Daraufhin senkt sich die Abdeckzunge 42 auf die Beutelpackung 10 ab. Jetzt wird die Stützrolle 40 von der zweiten Führungsschiene 45 erfasst und von dieser nach unten gedrückt (Fig. 2) . Dadurch wird die Beutelpackung 10 von der Abdeckzunge 42 nach und nach so weit zusammengepresst, bis deren Höhe geringer ist als die der Faltschachteln 12. Sollten sich beispielsweise zwei Beutelpackungen 10 statt einer in einem Packgutbecher 13 befinden, oder ist eine Beutelpackung 10 falsch in den Packgutbecher 13 eingelegt, so nimmt die Gegenkraft der Stützrolle 40 auf die Füh¬ rungsschiene 45 zu. Zur weiteren Erleichterung des Einschiebens ist vorgesehen, daß die Faltschachtel 12 in der Höhe ausgebeult wird, indem deren obere Faltschachtelwand etwas angehoben wird. Dazu wird die nahe an der Faltlinie der oberen Decklasche 19 herangefahrene Abdeckzunge 42 etwas angehoben. Dies geschieht dadurch, daß die Stützrolle 40 von der dritten Führungsschiene 46 erfasst und nach oben bewegt wird (Fig. 3) . Der Öffnungsquerschnitt der Faltschachtel 12 wird durch das Anheben der oberen Faltschachtelwand irt seiner Höhe'vergrößert, so daß die Reibung zwischen der Oberseite der Beutelpackung 12 und der oberen Faltschachtelseite reduziert oder vermieden wird. Ist die Beutelpackung 12 durch den Schieber 27 vollständig in die Faltschachtel 12 eingeschoben, werden der Schieber 27 und die Abdeckzunge 42 der Press- und Einschiebvorrichtung 25 zurückgefahren. Die Press- und Einschiebvorrichtung 25 wird dann von ihrer Fördereinrichtung 26 auf einer schlaufenförmigen Bahn zum Einschieben der nächsten Beutelpackung 10 an den Anfang der Vorrichtung zurückverfahren. In diesem Fall wird die Abdeckzunge 42 lediglich bis an die obere Faltschachtelwand herängefahren. Durch eine entsprechende Einstellung der Führungsschiene 45 zum Zusammenpressen der Beutelpackung 10 sollte die Abdeckzunge 42 in diesem Fall jedoch bis unter die obere Faltschachtelwand abgesenkt werden.
