Abstract

The cover consists of a surrounding frame (5) and a hinged lid (7). The hinge is equipped with a cam (29) which interacts with a counter-cam (22) on the frame to align the adjacent edges of the lid and frame when the lid is closed. Claims (8)

  1. Highway device, of the type comprising a first part (4, 5) forming a support frame, and a removable second part (6, 7) forming a capping element, articulated to swing on the frame along an articulation border (25) by at least one hinge (19, 22, 29, 30), characterized in that the hinge comprises a cam (29) integral with one (6, 7) of the two parts and a counter-cam (22) integral with the other part (4, 5), this cam and this counter-cam being adapted to cooperate together so as to bring the said border (25) close to the adjacent articulation border (16A) of the frame during the closing movement of the capping element.
  2. Device according to Claim 1, characterized in that the capping element (6, 7) comprises lateral guiding surfaces (24) which cooperate with lateral guiding surfaces of the frame (4, 5) in all positions of the capping element with the exception of at least one position for removal of this element.
  3. Device according to Claim 2, characterized in that the said position for removal is unique and in between the closed position and the maximum open position of the capping element (6, 7).
  4. Device according to Claim 3, characterized in that the said position for removal is vertical, the said maximum open position being an open position at approximately 110 to 120° with respect to the closed position.
  5. Device according to any one of Claims 1 to 4, characterized in that one (6, 7) of the two parts (4, 5, 6, 7) comprises on each side, close to the ends of its articulation border (25), an anti-lifting pin (30) which is received with a clearance beneath an overhanging wall (19) of the other part (4, 5).
  6. Device according to Claim 5 when the latter depends on any one of Claims 2 to 4, characterized in that one pin (30) is longer than the other, and in that there is provided in the frame, on the side of the long pin, a slot (20) adapted to receive a marginal portion of the upper shell (23) of the capping element (6, 7) in the said position for removal of the latter.
  7. Device according to Claim 5 or 6, characterized in that, in the maximum open position of the capping element (6, 7), the pins (30) butt against respective front surfaces (21) delimiting the said overhanging walls (19).
  8. Device according to any one of Claims 1 to 7, characterized in that each of the two parts (4, 5, 6, 7) is castable without a core, at least in the region of its articulation border (16A, 25) and its hinge (19, 22, 29, 30).
