A printing machine temperature control device of this type is known from EP-A-0 553 447. In the known device, a refrigeration device is provided with a refrigerant circuit, which is divided into two circuit branches that are parallel to one another. One circuit branch extends through a first heat exchanger and the other circuit branch extends through a second heat exchanger. A fountain solution circuit also extends through the first heat exchanger for the purpose of heat energy exchange with the one circuit branch of the refrigerant circuit. A cooling water circuit extends through the second heat exchanger for the purpose of exchanging thermal energy with the other circuit branch of the refrigerant circuit. The cooling water circuit is used to cool cylinders of the printing press either by flowing through the relevant cylinder or by exchanging thermal energy in a cooling water-air heat exchanger and blowing the air cooled by the cooling water onto the relevant cylinder. Such printing press cylinders can be printing plate cylinders, blanket cylinders, impression cylinders, rollers and rollers of dampening units and of inking units or other cylinders or rollers of the printing press.
In offset printing, the fountain solution serves to moisten the non-printing areas of the printing plate of the printing plate cylinder so that they do not accept any printing ink.
When it starts, a printing press often has a temperature that is below its optimal operating temperature. In this case, the printing press need not be cooled at the beginning of its operating time. However, it is desirable that the printing machine, especially its cylinders, rollers and rollers, be as possible quickly reach the optimal operating temperature. The cooling water can also serve as "heating water" in order to heat the printing press to its optimal operating temperature as quickly as possible. In the context of this description, "cooling water" also means, depending on the application, "heating water" and "cylinder" are any type of cylinder, roller or roller of a printing press, in particular an offset printing press.
The object of the invention is to achieve quick and easy heating of cylinders of a printing press to operating temperature in a simple and inexpensive manner.
This object is achieved according to the invention by the characterizing features of claim 1.
The invention has the following advantages: only a single cooling generator and a single control device for controlling a single liquid circuit, preferably the dampening water circuit, are required in order to quickly heat a printing press to the optimal operating temperature and, after this optimum operating temperature has been reached, to a higher temperature prevent.
The second liquid is preferably cooled water or cooling water for cooling rollers of the printing press, but this liquid can also be used for cooling other parts of the printing press, for example for cooling lubricating oil.

The printing press temperature control device shown in FIG. 1 of the drawings contains a first
The first
The
The invention provides the following operating options, among others: If the printing press is colder than the optimum operating temperature at the start of operation, then this can be done by means of the
The
