Definitions
- the present invention relates to a ski or similar, in particular an alpine ski, a cross-country ski background, a surfboard or others.
- stems or longitudinal reinforcements are put in place in this interior space, before injection of the material filling.
- the sole is traditionally made in one high density polyolefin, in particular polyethylene. Of by its nature, this material hardly adheres to filling material, which makes it necessary to provide a large contact surface between the sole and the filling material. In order not to limit this surface, the reinforcements are arranged at distance from the sole and therefore close to the neutral fiber of the ski.
- the sole can especially include small tail veins dovetails, which are embedded in grooves corresponding to the wooden body while the material of the sole is in a plastic state.
- the wooden body gives good rigidity longitudinal to skiing, but considerably increases this latest.
- French Patent No. 786,082 of 1935 describes a sliding plate with several grooves parallel to the axis of the ski, bordered by beads. These premets, due to the reduction in width of the ski in its middle part, to give birth with sharp edges, facing down. These gorges also have the disadvantage of limiting the sliding abilities of the ski.
- the present invention aims to remedy the whole of these disadvantages, by providing a ski having improved performance compared to manufactured skis traditionally, and by providing a process particularly simple and easy to implement.
- the ski it concerns includes, so known per se, a slip sole assembled with a or several other longitudinal structural elements, the sole being provided with parallel joining ribs projecting from its face opposite to that intended for come in contact with snow.
- these ribs are shaped so as to penetrate widely into the interior of the ski, and delimit deep longitudinal spaces between them undercut, likely to be overrun by material of one or more longitudinal elements of structure and / or by the plastic material filling the space delimited by this sole and by these elements longitudinal structure.
- the ribs and the creep of the materials in the above-mentioned spaces make it possible, in a simple manner and fast, perfect assembly of structural elements skiing, able to withstand constraints over time important and repeated that undergoes skiing.
- the connection between the longitudinal structural elements is ensured of optimally by the large contact surface between the material of the longitudinal structural elements, and / or the material filling the interior space of the ski, hand, and the ribs and the sole, on the other hand.
- this ski is greatly simplified, and eliminates assemblies traditional, especially by gluing, delicate to make and having a resistance over time relatively uncertain.
- the ribs help strengthen the ski longitudinally, and therefore limit the weight of longitudinal rods or reinforcement that it is necessary to place in the interior of the ski.
- the height and the distance between the ribs are larger than the dimensions of the rods or longitudinal reinforcements, so that at least some of these rods or frames can be inserted between the ribs.
- rods or frames are thus nested with the sole, and not placed at a distance from it as according to the prior art. So they are found away from the neutral fiber of the ski and may have, at equal reinforcement, smaller sections than the rods or reinforcements reinforcing traditional skis, or can provide a reinforcement greater in cross section equal to that traditional rods or frames.
- the ribs in the sole participate in the maintenance of these rods or frames during the creep of the material of the longitudinal element (s) of structure and / or plastic material filling the space delimited by this sole and these elements.
- the sole also has a rigidity which is more important in the ribs than between the ribs.
- Such a surface turns out to confer excellent ability to slide while skiing, without affecting the guidance of without braking it, and avoids setting up a classic longitudinal groove.
- the sliding sole can be made by any suitable process, for example by molding or machining.
- the sole is advantageously made by injection or extrusion. These processes make it possible to obtain this sole particularly simple, fast and inexpensive expensive.
- the material used to make the sole is thermoplastic and undergoes a slight shrinkage during its cooling. This withdrawal takes place from differentiated to the right of ribs and the right of spaces between the ribs, taking into account the difference in thickness, which creates naturally, without that a particular machining or molding is not necessary, a slightly wavy profile of the face bottom of the sole.
- This material is preferably a high molecular weight polyethylene, or an alloy mainly comprising high and low polyethylenes ultra high molecular weight.
- FIG. 1 represents a ski 1 or similar, that is to say in particular an alpine ski, a cross-country ski, a surfboard or others.
- This ski includes a thermoformed shell 2, constituting the upper wall and the side walls, a sliding sole 3 in high polyethylene density, side edges 4, a bundle of reinforcements or reinforcing metal rods 5 and a material filling 6.
- the sole 3 is provided with parallel ribs 7, projecting from its face opposite to that intended for come in contact with snow.
- These ribs 7 penetrate widely into inside the ski, have a cross section in T-shaped and have a height and a center distance greater than dimensions of the lower rods or reinforcements.
- the ribs 7 and the flow of the material 6 in the above-mentioned spaces make it possible, in a simple manner and fast, perfect assembly of structural elements 2,3,4,5, able to resist stress over time important and repeated that undergoes skiing.
- the connection between these structural elements is optimally ensured by the large contact surface between the material 6 and the ribs 7 and the sole 3.
- ribs 7 also make it possible to reinforce longitudinally ski 1, and therefore limit the weight rods or reinforcements 5 which it is necessary to place in the interior space delimited by the shell 2 and by the sole 3, in order to obtain adequate rigidity.
- rods or frames 5 are nested with the sole 3. They are therefore far from the fiber neutral of ski 1 and may have, with equal reinforcement of ski 1, smaller sections than rods or frames reinforcing traditional skis, or can provide a greater reinforcement with cross section equal to that of the rods or traditional frames.
- the ribs 7 participate in maintaining these rods or reinforcements 5 during the creep of the material 6.
- the sole 3 is produced by injection or extrusion of a thermoplastic material undergoing a slight shrinkage during cooling.
- Figure 3 shows an alternative embodiment of the invention, in which the shell 2 is structured tubular, and the underside thereof is molded on the ribs 7.
- the shell 2 can be full, and come herself fill the entire interior space of the ski, material replacement 6.
