Description

The subject of the present invention is a auxiliary drive device for transport sheets of paper or cardboard, especially for the transport of sheets of paper or cardboard, arranged in the form of a tablecloth, from the margin station a cutting press at the cutting station of such a press.

Document US-A-4,762,314 describes such a device in combination with a margin station.

In the cutting presses known to date, the leaves to be worked are taken from the top of a stack placed in the margin station then delivered as a tablecloth on a front margin table to be introduced into the clamps of the organs of transport from the press cutting station. The sheets are of course precisely positioned longitudinally and laterally before being entered by the grippers of the station transport devices cutting machine. This positioning intervenes at one end of the margin table and is carried out using front stops and side against which it will be advisable to support the sheet to be introduced into the station cutting of the press. The margin tables that we know generally include an inclined tray serving as a support for the upper strands of leaf conveyor belts arranged side by side side over the width of the inclined plate. To ensure transporting the sheets of the tablecloth on the table margin there are plans to use elements upper pressure auxiliaries mounted on a frame so that they can be adjusted in position at above the upper strand of each of the belts of transport of sheets. These auxiliary elements of pressure are made in the form of small belt conveyors with pressure on the web of sheets to be transported can be adjusted. For ensure the support, without deterioration, of the front edge of the first sheet of the tablecloth against the stops frontal, preferably use a brush rotary whose axis of rotation is offset longitudinally with respect to the end pulley of the belt conveyor. So the rear edge of the first sheet of the tablecloth will not be pushed, in the direction of its movement, by the belt of the carrier but only by the hairs of the rotating brush which will give way when the front edge of the first sheet of the tablecloth will come into contact with the front stop. As a result, the sheet will not be not deformed or deteriorated by pushing too much transport organs. In this kind of device, it should of course train rotating brush. To do this, we use the movement of one of the end pulleys of the upper conveyor which is passed on to the brush using a drive belt. These elements pressure auxiliaries however have several disadvantages. First, their construction does not allow adjustment of the torque of the brush due to its entrainment by a belt which must necessarily be stretched to be effective. In addition, these elements require the use of a large number of parts, such as pulleys, belts, at least two devices pressure adjustment, making their particularly expensive. Also, in because of their complication, their setting to get acceptable transport of the sheet web is long and tedious.

A cet effet, l'invention a pour objet un dispositif conforme à ce qu'énonce la revendication 1.The object of the present invention is to remove the aforementioned drawbacks. To this end, the subject of the invention is a device in accordance with this as set out in claim 1.

  • The invention will be better understood from the study of one of its embodiments illustrated with the aid of the appended drawings in which:
  • FIG. 1 is a schematic view intended for the explanation of the operation of a margin table,
  • FIG. 2 is an elevation view of an auxiliary pressure device for transporting sheets of paper or cardboard and,
  • Figure 3 is a sectional view along III-III of Figure 2.
Figure 1 is a schematic view for explanation of how a margin table works 1. This margin table 1 includes a part lower 2 and an upper part 3. The part lower 2 consists of a series of belts lower transport 4 arranged side by side in the width of the margin table 1. These belts 4 are driven by a transverse roller 5 placed a the front of the margin table 1 and they go around another transverse deflection roller 6 placed at the back of the margin table 1. The upper strand 7 lower conveyor belts 4 is supported on a board 8. Sheets 9, arranged in a sheet are brought to the lower part 2 of the table margin 1 by the feeder introduction devices the cutting press, not shown on this figure. The upper part 3 of the margin table includes several pressure devices 10 compounds each of a drive roller 11 and a brush rotary 12, the pressure of the drive roller 11 and of the rotary brush 12 being given by springs 13. Each pressing device 10 is mounted opposite of each of the lower conveyor belts 4, on a frame (not shown), so as to press on the sheet of sheets 9 and to provide training. In the example shown in Figure 1, the edge front of the first sheet 14 of the tablecloth is arrival in contact with the front stop 15 and in this position, its rear edge is pushed by the bristles of the rotating brush 12 which is connected mechanically to the drive roller 11. This one is, at that time, still driven by the effect of scrolling of the sheet of sheets 9 and transmits its rotational movement with the rotary brush 12. The first sheet 14 having been aligned against the stop front 15, it will be retracted and the clamps (not shown) of the transport unit of the press cutting station can then grab this first sheet 14 to bring it into the cutting station.

This device comprises an adjustable attachment piece 16 along a bar 17 belonging to the party top 3 of the margin table 1. This part upper 3 is made up of several bars 17 arranged side by side above the upper strands 7 lower conveyor belts 4. The part fastener 16 can be locked in position along the bar 17 by means of a plate 18 clamped by a handle 19 screwed into the attachment piece 16. The piece attachment 16 also includes a pivot 20 for supporting one of the ends of the lever 21 which carries, at its other end, the assembly composed by the roller 11 and the rotating brush 12. The brush rotary is mounted on a bearing 22 connected to the lever 21 by a knurled chicken 23 crossing an opening elongated 24. The end of the lever 21 located at the neighborhood of the drive roller 11 and the brush rotary 12 has a protrusion 25 having two slots 26 and 27 in which one can engage the end 28 of the spring 13 constituted by a blade elastic anchored at its other end 29 in a stud 30 forming part of the attachment piece 16. When the end 28 of the spring 13 is engaged in the slot 26, the bearing force of the drive roller 11 will be more important than when this end 28 is engaged in slot 27. To refine the force support of the drive roller 11 we use the action an adjustment screw 31 with locking nut 32. This adjusting screw 31 acts on the spring 13 and is screwed into a lug 33 fixed to the stud 30 by screws 34 which simultaneously tighten the end 29 of the spring 13 in plot 30.

Figure 3 is a sectional view along III-III of Figure 2 using which the arrangement of various elements making up the pressure device 10 will be better understood.

The socket 37 serves as a bearing for the pivot 20 and the sleeve 38 is crossed by the fixing screw 39 of a spacer block 40 on which is fixed the bearing 22 by means of the knurled chicken 23. The position of the spacer block 40 is ensured by a pin 41 which crosses the right cheek 35. The left cheek 36, slightly longer than the right cheek 35 supports, at its end 42, the drive roller 11. The drive roller 11 is mounted on ball bearings 43 and 44 arranged on the axis 45 fixed to the end 42 of the cheek left 36 by a nut 46. The drive roller 11 has a recess 47 which is concentric with relative to its outer circumference. Landing 22 has two ball bearings 48 and 49 through from which the axis 50 of the rotary brush 12 passes. axis 50 has a cylindrical head 51 having in its outer circumference a half groove circular 52 in which is fixed a ring toric 53 made of a material having a coefficient of friction corresponding for example to that of a synthetic rubber of the neoprene type or similar. The rotary brush 12 is fixed to the axis 50 using a pin 54 and its lateral position is determined by a distance washer 55. The axis 50 of the rotating brush 12 is fixed to the bearings balls 48 and 49 of the bearing 22 by means of a nut 56. As can be seen by examining this figure, the axis 45 of the drive roller 11 and the axis 50 of the rotary brush 12 are offset one by relation to each other so that the point of the drive roller 11 is located in removal of the action point of the rotating brush 12. The drive of the rotary brush 12 by the rotational movement of the drive roller 11 will ensured by the action of the O-ring 53 against the cylindrical wall of the recess 47 arranged in the drive roller 11. The drive couple of the rotary brush 12 can be easily adjusted by more or less moving the bearing 22 in the groove elongated 24 and blocking it in the desired position using knurled chicken 23. Disassembly of the rotary brush 12, for example for replacement after wear of the O-ring 53, will also very easy since it will be enough to unscrew completely the knurled chicken 23 and remove the level 22.

The advantages of the present invention lie in the simplicity of its realization which removes the use of drive belts, and in the many torque settings possible of the rotary brush 12.
