Definitions

  • Pot hinges are used to attach doors or flaps to furniture. They contain a base plate that is attached to the furniture body, and a pot element that is articulated to the base plate via a hinge arm and that is connected to the door or flap.
  • Pot hinges of this type have several adjustment options.
  • One adjustment option is to change the position of the axes of rotation further forwards or backwards in relation to the front edge of the cabinet body, to compensate for inaccuracies in the attachment of the hinges.
  • Another adjustment option is to adjust the hinge up or down.
  • a third adjustment option is the so-called support adjustment, in which the hinge is to be adjusted perpendicular to the fastening surface of the base plate.
  • the hinge arm in order to adjust the hinge in this direction, is pivoted about a pivot axis arranged at its end remote from the door. With this pivoting, however, the gap between the door and the front edge of the cabinet body changes. In order to compensate for this, the hinge arm is simultaneously displaced longitudinally in its own longitudinal direction when pivoting.
  • the object of the invention is to create a concealed hinge which, with a simple structure, has a very simple and safe adjustment possibility perpendicular to the fastening plate of the base plate.
  • the invention proposes a concealed hinge with the features of claim 1. Further developments of the invention are the subject of the dependent claims.
  • the parallelism between the hinge arm and the adapter element is maintained during the adjustment. While in the prior art the gap compensation is possible due to the simultaneous pivoting and longitudinal displacement, the geometry is also retained in the invention.
  • the pivoting in the prior art leads to the fact that the angle between the body wall and the door changes in the closed state, while it remains the same according to the invention. However, the angle is important, particularly when spring mechanisms are present which are intended to keep the door closed.
  • the base plate is constructed from a base plate fastened to the furniture body and a cover plate held on the base plate, which can be adjusted in a direction parallel to the front edge of the furniture body. An adjustment in the vertical direction can thus also be carried out, in the normal case in height.
  • the hinge according to the invention thus enables adjustment in three directions. It is particularly favorable if the adjustability is infinitely variable.
  • a toothed pin can be provided according to the invention, which is rotatably mounted in one plate and engages with its teeth in a row of teeth arranged on the other plate. The adjustment can then be effected very simply and precisely with the aid of a tool, for example a commercially available screwdriver.
  • the guidance between the two plates can take place in that one of the plates, preferably the base plate, rests with its edge edges on the bent edges of the other plate, preferably the cover plate. No undercuts or other additional devices are therefore required for the guidance.
  • the cover plate has tabs on the bent edges, which are bent after attachment of the base plate to the cover plate and engage under the base plate.
  • a screw with a pointed conical front end is inserted in a threaded opening of the cover plate, which acts upon an element of the base plate or the cover plate radially outward when screwed in, so that this element counteracts another element of the other plate is pressed. If the screw acts on an element of the cover plate, this type of locking has the advantage that no forces that change the setting occur when the screw is tightened.
  • the horizontal slide can also be moved continuously is held on the base plate. Once a position has been set, it can be locked in a manner similar to that between the base and cover plates.
  • Base plate can be provided that it has at least one extension which extends through a longitudinal slot in the base plate.
  • the approach has a widened head with which it can hold on the back of the base plate laterally behind the edges of the longitudinal slot.
  • two such approaches are provided at a distance in the longitudinal direction of the horizontal slide.
  • a screw is provided for locking the horizontal slide on the base plate, which tries to lift it off the base plate and thereby allows the hooks of the lugs to come into contact with the underside of the base plate.
  • This screw can advantageously be inserted into a threaded opening of the horizontal slide and act on the top of the base plate.
  • the locking then also takes place with the aid of a tool in the usual direction of rotation. It would of course also be possible to insert the locking screw into a threaded opening in the base plate and then to lock it by turning it to the left.
  • the horizontal slide would have an opening that is narrower than the diameter of the screw.
  • the free end of the locking screw ie the end which effects the locking by being acted upon
  • the fastening device for fastening the hinge arm to the horizontal slide can be designed according to the invention in such a way that the fastening takes place without tools by simply pressing on or snapping on.
  • the fastening device can have at least one spring-loaded pawl which engages in a corresponding recess in the hinge arm.
  • the fastening device according to the invention can have an actuating element for opening or retracting the pawl.
  • pawls are arranged on both sides of a center line and at two points spaced apart in the direction of displacement of the horizontal slide. Then it becomes possible to hold the hinge arm in four places with the help of spring-loaded pawls.
  • the invention proposes that the pawls are made such that they themselves have spring properties.
  • the pawls and the spring are integrally formed from a correspondingly bent spring wire.
  • Fastening device can be designed such that it acts on the hinge arm in the direction of its removal, for example by a spring, preferably by the same spring which also acts on the pawls. This leads to the fact that when the fastening device is loosened, preferably with the aid of the actuating element, the hinge arm is released from the fastening position. At the same time, this spring action also leads to a certain counterpressure being generated when the hinge arm is attached, which leads to a tangible snapping of the hinge arm.
  • the actuating element acts pullingly on the spring, so that the operations mentioned can be triggered by a simple pulling operation.
  • the pawls can be formed by projections which engage through window-like openings in two opposite side walls of the horizontal slide in corresponding openings of the adapter element. These window-like openings can simultaneously serve to fix the spring forming the pawls.
  • the adjustment of the adapter element on the hinge arm can, as proposed by the invention, be carried out in a stepless manner and is preferably effected by means of a screw. Any means can be provided for the parallel displacement. However, it is particularly favorable if two compression springs are supported between the adapter element and the hinge arm, which bring about the parallel alignment of the two parts to one another. In this case, the adjustment can be carried out with the aid of a single adjustment element. In addition, the provision of these compression springs has the advantage that the hinge according to the invention even has a shock-absorbing effect.
  • a slide is slidably mounted on the adapter element or the hinge arm, which engages in a link guide of the other part.
  • the slide can, for example, have teeth, so that it can then be adjusted by a toothed pin.
  • This toothed pin can in turn be operated with a commercially available screwdriver.
  • two such sliders are provided at two spaced locations. These slides can be adjusted, for example, by the same adjustment element. In particular, it can be seen that both slides are actuated in opposite directions.

  • the base plate 1 has two wing parts 3, which are arranged at the upper and lower ends of the base plate 1. Between the two wing parts 3 there is a depression 4, which runs perpendicular to the front edge 2. In the recess 4, a horizontal slide 5 is fastened to the base plate 1 and fixed in a certain position with a locking screw 6.
  • the base plate 1 is fastened to the furniture body 7 with the aid of two screws 8, the screw heads of which can be seen in FIG. 1 through corresponding openings in the base plate 1.
  • a screw 8 is arranged in each wing part 3.
  • the horizontal slide 5 can be displaced or adjusted somewhat in its own longitudinal direction, so that its distance from the front edge 2 of the body 7 can be adjusted.
  • the position of the horizontal slide can be changed together with a part of the base plate 1 parallel to the front edge 2.
  • the horizontal slide 5 contains a fastening device shown in FIG. 1 in the release position, which can be actuated with the aid of an actuating element 9.
  • the actuating element 9 can, for example, as shown, be a push button.
  • the base plate 1 is made up of two plates, namely a base plate 10 and a cover plate 11.
  • the base plate 1 is shown in a position rotated about the line IV-IV in FIG. 1.
  • the base plate 10 is screwed onto the furniture body 7 using the screws 8 mentioned, for which purpose it has two fastening holes 12.
  • the base plate 10 has an outer circumference in the form of a rectangle.
  • the cover plate 11 is bent down along its entire edge, ie in the direction of the furniture body 7 or in the direction of the base plate 10. This bent edge 13 has the shape of a rectangle in the area of the wing parts 3.
  • the transverse dimension of the rectangular shape of the base plate 10 corresponds to the inner distance of the bent edge 13 of the cover plate 11, so that the base plate 10 rests on the edge 13 with parts of its longitudinal side edges. As a result, the cover plate 11 is guided on the base plate 10 without any undercuts being necessary for this.
  • the base plate 10 has raised areas 14, see also FIG. 3, which are formed by folding the base plate 10.
  • the base plate 10 is at a distance from its underside.
  • the edge 13 of the cover plate 11 contains tabs 15 which are bent away laterally inwards and engage under the raised areas 14 of the base plate 10. This secures against lifting.
  • the base plate 10 contains an elongated opening 16 running approximately parallel to the front edge 2 of the furniture body 7, one longitudinal side edge 17 of which is provided with a row of teeth 18.

  • the cover plate 11 contains a punched-out area 21 in which the sheet metal material of the cover plate 11 is deformed downwards to form a curved web 22.
  • the base plate 10 also contains a punched-out portion 23 which is elongated and rectangular and whose longitudinal direction runs parallel to the adjustment direction of the base plate and cover plate.
  • a narrow strip 24 is formed, which is directed upward toward the cover plate 11, see FIG. 3 and is positioned such that it lies against the side edge of the web 22.
  • the edge 25 of the base plate 10 is also bent upwards and there forms a second strip 26 corresponding to the strip 24. This strip 26 lies against the bent edge 13 of the cover plate 11.
  • the cover plate 11 contains a threaded opening 27 into which a threaded screw 28 is screwed.
  • the threaded screw 28 has, at its front end protruding into the bore, a truncated cone-shaped flattening 29 which bears against the inside of the strips 24 and 26. If the threaded screw 28 is screwed in further, it acts on the two strips 24, 26 in the radial direction and presses them outward, so that one strip 24 ver ⁇ against the web 22 and the second strip 26 against the inside of the edge 13 of the cover plate 11 gets stuck.
  • the toothed pin 19 is used for the adjustment of the cover plate 11 on the base plate 10 screwed to the body 7.
  • the locking screw 28 is used to lock a once set position. In this way, a very precise and sensitive adjustment of the cover plate 11 is possible, and the locking can then be effected in such a way that there is no more adjustment.
