Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a luminaire for at least one lighting lamp of elongated shape, comprising a profile of a determined length at least equal to that of the lamp, provided with a wiring in electric wire for electrically supplying the lamp from an external power supply line, supports at each end intended to support the lamp and to ensure an electrical connection at each end of the lamp, a connection terminal block intended to ensure the electrical connection between the internal wiring and an external supply line, and several detachable holes or lids at different places in the length of the profile including at its end, each intended to offer, when removed, an entry hole in the profile for the line external power supply.
Such a luminaire is commercially available where it is usually called a "strip", for example the "BASIC" model can be cited under the brand MAZDA.
When using this type of strip and depending on the position of the strip, sometimes the incoming cable (the external power line) is in front of the center of the strip, and sometimes at its end. Assuming for example that the connection terminal block is fixed in the center, and that the incoming cable is at the end of the strip, the installer introduces this cable through an opening at the end, and passes it to inside the strip until you reach the terminal block. The interior of the strip includes elements which reach operating temperatures of the order of 110 ° to 130 °. The problem which then arises is that the cable thus introduced into the strip is not generally of a "high temperature" type , despite the indications possibly given for this purpose by labels affixed in the strip, which risks d 'to be dangerous.
The invention proposes to solve this problem.
For this purpose, the profile is provided with at least two means for fixing the connection terminal block, each of a type making this block removable, which therefore makes it easy to choose the place of the terminal block, and each of the electrical wires of the internal wiring. which are connected to the connection terminal block has a sufficient length and an adequate arrangement to be able to join this block in each of its positions.
Thus the terminal block can be placed near the inlet opening of the external cable, which avoids passing the latter through the interior of the strip, near hot elements.
In a preferred embodiment, one of the terminal block fixing means is located near the center of the profile, and the other near one of the ends of the profile.
So we can face the two most common situations. A single end position is sufficient since it is always possible to orient the entire strip in the desired direction to present the appropriate end on the cable arrival side.
Advantageously, an orifice or a detachable cover is provided near each of said positions.
Thus the length of cable located inside the strip and not supporting heat is limited to the maximum and there is no risk of it passing in the vicinity of a hot element.
These aspects of the invention as well as other more detailed aspects will become more clearly apparent from the following description of a nonlimiting embodiment. FIG. 1A schematically represents, seen from above with the tube below, a strip for fluorescent tube.
Figure 1B shows in perspective and on a larger scale part of the strip to illustrate the way whose position of the terminal block can be changed.
The description below mentions a strip for fluorescent tube, but it is clear that the invention applies equally well to any luminaire provided for a lamp of elongated shape, in particular of tubular type.
