Definitions

  • the invention relates to a display case for displaying objects with several side surfaces made of transparent material, a base formed as a base and an upper part closing the top, at least one side part being designed as a pivotable door, which is connected to the display case by appropriate hinges and in when the door is closed, the end faces of two opposite side faces abut the inside of the door in the edge region thereof, the opposite outer edges of the door each being flush with the outside of the two side faces.
  • DE-PS 36 02 539 describes a showcase in which the rectangular showcase housing formed from panes has a rear wall, two side faces and a pivotable hinged door, the hinged door being rotatably mounted by means of hinges which are provided in suitably provided invisible regions of the pane.
  • the hinges must be specially designed so that the door can be opened and not against it the front edge of the side surface presses on the side of the hinges.
  • the object of the invention is therefore to provide a corresponding attachment for the door of such a display case.
  • a hinge consisting of a door hinge part is attached to the inside of the door in the area of the upper part and the lower part, which is rotatably connected by a bolt to an associated housing hinge part that the Housing hinge part forms the end of a rod which is axially displaceably mounted perpendicularly to the closing plane of the door in a bearing body fastened to a lower, lower sheet metal frame attached to the lower part or upper sheet metal frame attached to the upper part, and that a horizontal spring-like means on the one hand with the lower sheet metal frame in the area of the lower hinge and, on the other hand, is rotatably fastened to the door in such a way that already in the closed state of the door a predetermined pressure is exerted against the lower part of the door from the inside of the display case.
  • the door By means of the two housing hinge parts connected to the rod which is axially displaceable in the bearing bodies, the door can first be pulled forward and, as soon as the necessary distance to the end edge of the side surfaces in question has been reached, can also be pivoted forward. Due to the high weight of the door, however, great pressure would be exerted on the lower hinge when the door was open, so that the rod of the lower hinge would be pushed back into the bearing body. This pressure is counteracted by the spring-like means set according to the weight of the door, for example a gas pressure spring.
  • a housing with a housing cover is already known, in which a pull-out part is arranged between a housing hinge part and a hinge middle part, the pull-out part being connected to the housing hinge part so as to be linearly displaceable at an angle to the closing plane.
  • the hinge center part is pivotally articulated on the lid hinge part and on the pull-out part.
  • a housing configured in this way enables a complete closure of the housing space by means of a cover, in which the outer sides of the housing cover are flush with the outer sides of the housing sides and the closed housing cover rests on the end faces of the housing sides.
  • US Pat. No. 5,040,857 describes a door hinge for a refrigerator, in which the door is guided parallel to the door frame in the last phase of closing.
  • the upper and the lower hinge are each attached to a rack, which can be moved perpendicular to the door.
  • Both racks are mechanically connected to one another by a common vertical axis, on each of which a gearwheel which is in engagement with the respective rack is fastened in the region of the upper and the lower rack. In this way, the door is guided in parallel.
  • the display case 1 has a left side surface 3 and a right side surface 4, which face each other in parallel. Between the two there is a rear side surface 5 on the side facing away from the viewer and a pivotable door 2 on the side facing the viewer.
  • the display case consists of a housing made of glass with a rectangular plan.
  • the invention is also applicable to housings made of a different transparent material and with a pentagonal and polygonal plan.
  • the display case 1 has a lower part 6 as a base and an upper part 7 as the upper end. In the area of the lower part 6 and the upper part 7, the door 2 is each provided with a lock 8 mounted in the center.
  • a sheet metal plate 41 is attached to the inside of the door 2 in the area of the lower part 6 and the upper part 7, for example by gluing (see FIGS. 2 to 5). This carries all the facilities that are connected to the swivel mechanism and the lock 8 and concern the door 2 itself. These can be connected to the sheet metal plate 41, for example by screwing, welding, etc.
  • both sheet metal frames range from left side surface 3 to the right side surface 4 and possibly also to the rear side surface 5, it being possible for both side surfaces 3 and 4 and also the rear side surface 5 to be connected to the two sheet metal frames 12 and 36, for example by gluing.
  • a space 40 Between the lower sheet metal frame 12 or the upper sheet metal frame 36 and the door 2 there is a space 40, in which all that are accommodated on the two sheet metal plates 41 and the devices attached to the two sheet metal frames.
  • the door 2 rests in its edge area on the end faces of the two side surfaces 3 and 4, the two outer edges 43 and 44 of the door 2 in question being aligned with the outside of the respective side surface 3 and 4.
  • the door 2 and the side surfaces 3, 4 and 5 can each extend from the lower edge of the lower part 6 to the upper edge of the upper part 7.
  • a film 13 can be applied in the area of the lower part 6 and the upper part 7 on the inside of the side surfaces 3, 4 and 5 and the door 2, through which the two sheet metal frames 12 and 36 and also the space 40 are covered.
  • the structure of the two hinges is discussed below, one hinge in each case in the lower part 6 and in the upper part 7. It is assumed that both hinges on the door 2 are on the side facing the left side surface 3. It is also conceivable to mount this on the side of the door 2 facing the right side wall 4.
  • the showcase 1 can also have more than one door 2. Since both hinges have the same structure, only one hinge is described.
  • the door hinge part 10, which is rigidly attached to the sheet metal plate 41, is rotatably connected to the housing hinge part 9 by the bolt 11, the axis of which is perpendicular.
  • the housing hinge part 9 is attached to the end of a rod 15 which can be moved horizontally in the direction of the closing plane of the door 2 and which is guided in a bearing body 14 which is fixedly attached to a lower 12 or upper sheet metal frame 36.
  • the bearing body 14 is open on its side facing away from the door, so that the rod 15 protrudes.
  • the rod 15 has at this end a stop 16 which limits the path of the rod 15 in the bearing body 14 to a certain length.
  • a bearing bracket 22 is firmly attached, specifically between the door hinge part 10 and the left side surface 3 facing the hinge.
  • a horizontal steering bracket 19 is rotatably fastened to the bearing bracket 22 and has a bore 45 at its other end an elongated hole 20 is provided.
  • a vertical pin 21 protrudes into this elongated hole 20, which is fixedly attached to a mounting bracket 38 connected to the lower 12 or upper sheet metal frame 36.
  • the steering bracket 19 can be made from a piece of flat steel.
  • the distance between the end of the elongated hole 20 facing away from the bore 45 and the bore 45 of the steering bracket 19 is selected such that when the door 2 is opened, it initially moves away from the end edges of the side surfaces 3 and 4 in parallel by removing the rod 15 from the Bearing body 14 is pulled out to the stop 16 and the pin 21 moves in the slot 20 to the end facing away from the bore 45, so that the door 2 can then be swung open, since there is now enough space for the door 2 to be swung open for the part thereof is present, which is located between the hinge and the outer edge 43. This part is rotated into the interior of the display case 1 when the door 2 is swung open.
  • the pin 21 When the door 2 pivots, the pin 21 remains on the end of the elongated hole 20 of the steering bracket 19 facing away from the bore 45, the bore 45 describing a circular movement. In the state of the widest opening of the door 2, it is parallel to the side surface 3, the steering plate 19 occupying almost the same position.
  • the pivoting movement of the door 2 during the closing process is also guided by the steering bracket 19.
  • the length of the elongated hole 20 of the steering bracket 19 is to be dimensioned such that the door 2 can lay against the end edges of the two side surfaces 3 and 4, ie that this parallel movement in the last closing phase of the door 2 by the pin 21 and the steering bracket 19 does not is hindered.
  • the pin 21 moves in the slot 20 to the end of the bore 45 facing the same.
  • the steering bracket 19 is approximately parallel to the door 2, as shown in Fig. 5.
  • a bearing bracket 22, a pin 21 and a steering bracket 19 are provided for each hinge, the pin 21 also being attached to a separate fastening bracket which is firmly connected to the lower 12 or upper sheet metal frame can be.
  • a gas pressure spring 17 is fastened rotatably, namely on the underside of the mounting bracket 38, the pivot point being aligned with the axis of the rod 15 which is displaceably guided in the bearing body 14.
  • the fulcrum is also between the bolt 11 of the hinge 9, 10 and the lower sheet metal frame 12.
  • the mounting bracket 38 is attached above the hinge 9, 10, but it can also be attached below the same. It is also conceivable to attach the gas pressure spring 17 to a special mounting bracket.
  • the horizontally attached gas pressure spring 17 is rotatably connected at its other end to a bearing 18 which is attached to the door 2, specifically to the sheet metal plate 41 between the hinge 9, 10 and the lock 8.
  • the distance of the fulcrum of the gas pressure spring 17 in the bearing 18 to the inside of the door is to be selected such that the gas pressure spring 17 exerts pressure against the inside of the door 2 even when the door 2 is closed.
  • the adjustable gas pressure spring 17 is adapted to the weight of the door 2 in such a way that when the door is pulled out in parallel due to the axial movement of the rods 15 of the two housing hinge parts 9 by the weight of the door 2 in the lower region of the door 2 no after Interior of the display case 1 directed pressure can arise, which would result in the rod 15 being pushed into the bearing body 14 attached to the lower sheet metal frame 12.
  • continuous strips 27 are attached in such a way that they lie flush on top of each other when the door 2 is closed.
  • the hinges 27 can also be attached to all four edge regions of the door 2, so that the door 2 can be kept closed in a dust-tight manner.
  • the counterparts of the strips 27 are then to be attached to corresponding strips, not shown, which are to be fastened to the lower 12 and to the upper sheet metal frame 36.
  • the width of the tapes should be chosen so that it is not greater than the thickness of the side surfaces 3 and 4 if the visual impression should not interfere and the holding force of the tapes 27 is sufficient. Otherwise, the end face of the side faces 3 and 4 must be widened accordingly in order to support a wider band 27. Due to the special design of the bands 27, a releasable connection is created between them by pressing them together.
  • the band 27 consists of two parts, one part made of a felt-like plastic fleece, in which the innumerable fine hooks of the other part cling by being pressed together.
  • the fixed connection between the two bands 27 or between the two showcase parts with which they are firmly connected can also be released by tearing the two bands or parts apart. This process can be repeated any number of times, taking into account certain signs of wear.
  • Such tapes are also known under the name "Velcro".
  • the push rods 23 are guided through bearings 24 which are attached to the sheet metal plate 41.
  • the ends of the two push rods 23 protrude into bores 26 of an angle 25 fastened by screws 34 to the lower 12 or upper sheet metal frame 36 in the region of the two side surfaces 3 and 4.

  • the lever 28 is mounted on a bearing block 33 which is fixedly connected to the lower 12 or upper sheet metal frame 36 and is rotatably supported by a bolt 39.
  • On the side of the lever 28 facing away from the receiving opening 31, the latter is provided with a curvature 29 which bears on a rubber plate 30 attached to the lower 12 or upper sheet metal frame 36.
  • the bore for the bolt 39 is located between the receiving opening 31 and the curvature 29.
  • the receiving opening 31 is designed such that in the closed state of the door 2 when the push rod 23 is moved in the direction of the lock 8, i.e. when unlocking the same by pressing the pin 32 into the receiving opening 31, the lever 28 is pressed against the rubber plate 30 and in this way a pressure is generated against the door 2 from the interior of the display case 1, by means of which the adhesive effect of the bands 27 is torn apart the same is canceled.
  • the door 2 only has to be moved by the lever 28 until at least the hinges 27 have detached from one another from the end face of the right side surface 4 and the door 2 in the region of the outer edge 44.
  • the pin 32 initially slides along the outside of the lever 28, the arch 29 of which is pressed against the rubber plate 30 and a pressure against the pin 32 exercises, and then comes in the end position of the push rod 23 again in the receiving opening 31, wherein the lever 28 then again assumes its rest position determined by the curvature 29 resting on the rubber plate 30.
