Hieraus folgt wiederum, daß die Passermarken in einem Minimalabstand von 20 mm zueinander angeordnet werden müssen. Bei der gattungsgemäßen Vorrichtung wird der Registerfehler durch die Meßaufnahme der Passermarken der Farben eins und zwei, zwei und drei sowie drei und vier ermittelt.
