At least one of the connections points is adjustable along the length of its respective strut.

Description

The invention relates to a training device in particular for strengthening the muscle groups used in equestrian sports.

Das Training dieser Muskelgruppen ist mit den geläufigen Heimtrainingsgeräten zwar möglich, diese Trainingsgeräte sind jedoch in der Regel sehr aufwendig und teuer,Although there are currently many different types of home training equipment available on the market, there is still no training equipment that would allow the muscle groups, such as the thighs, back, abdominal and arm muscles, to be specifically trained in equestrian sports. The training of these muscle groups is possible with the usual home training devices, but these training devices are usually very complex and expensive,

A generic exercise device is known from DE 34 08 036 A1. This device contains a seat, on the vertical support of which two legs are rotatably mounted relative to one another about a vertical axis. The two struts are connected to one another at their rear ends with respect to the seat by means of elastic bands. The struts can thus be adjusted against each other against the force of the elastic bands. The force can be adjusted via the number of elastic bands.

A body training device is known from WO 87/03499, which has two struts which can be pivoted relative to one another and which are connected to one another via a joint. The resistance against the pivoting of the two struts is realized by a gas pressure spring, the ends of which are connected to both struts at a distance from the joint. The resistance of the gas pressure spring can be adjusted by a mechanical or magnetic device arranged in the spring.

It is therefore an object of the invention to provide a training device which is simple and robust and inexpensive to manufacture and which in particular enables the muscle parts used in equestrian sports to be strengthened.

This object is achieved according to the invention by a training device with the features of claim 1. Advantageous developments of the invention are the subject of the dependent claims.

The training device consists of a stand on which two struts are held, which are arranged in the manner of the legs of a V to each other. These struts have contact surfaces for the legs.

The device is used in such a way that the inside of the thighs or the knees rest on the outside of the struts which face away from one another and which have the contact surfaces. By pressing the legs together, the struts are pressed together. The muscles of the thigh are particularly stressed. However, these are precisely the muscle groups that are important in order to enable a good fit on a horse and to be able to use the thigh aids specifically and effectively for guiding the horse.

The distance formed between the contact surfaces of the two legs can preferably be changed against spring force. When the thighs are pressed together, the struts are pressed together so that you can see from the deflection how great the force is that you can exert with the corresponding thigh muscles. The deflection can also be detected by suitable means and displayed. Alternatively or in addition to the changeability of the spacing of the contact surfaces by compressing the two struts, it may be desirable to display the force that is effective between the two contact surfaces. In this case, it is not absolutely necessary for the two legs to be pivotable relative to one another. The force application can be displayed, for example, in a known manner via mechanical or piezoelectric force transducers.

The angle formed by the two legs of the V is preferably adjustable. This allows strength training of the legs at different angles of the thighs. The adjustability of the angle between the struts is achieved, for example, by means of a gas pressure spring which acts on both struts. The point of application of the gas pressure spring on one strut or on both struts can be adjustable in the longitudinal direction of the corresponding strut. In this way, the zero position of the spacing of the contact surfaces can be set in a particularly simple manner, which is defined in that no force acts on the contact surfaces of the struts.

The training device can also be used to train the muscles on the outer thigh when the knees or thighs reach between the struts and push them apart.

The two struts are preferably pivoted at their mutually facing longitudinal end about a common axis of rotation or two axes of rotation running parallel to one another.

The training device preferably has a seat in the region of the mutually facing longitudinal ends of the struts, as a result of which the natural sitting posture on the horse is largely approximated, in particular if the struts run essentially horizontally or slightly inclined downward below the seat.

The struts are preferably designed as tubes or square tubes, which are padded in the area of the contact surfaces of the thighs. In an advantageous development of the invention, handles are arranged on the mutually pointing free longitudinal ends of the struts, so that the training device can also be used to strengthen the arm and chest muscles. The stand has feet for a secure stand, a support directed upwards from the feet, at the upper end of which the seat is arranged. At the same time, the carrier forms the common axis of rotation for the struts which run essentially horizontally or are slightly inclined downwards. The arrangement of the seat relative to the struts ensures an ergonomically correct sitting style and thus prevents postural damage.

The distance between the seat and / or the struts from the feet can be adjusted in order to be able to set the correct seating position for people of different sizes. The distance between the struts or the seat and the feet is preferably adjustable via a gas pressure spring. If the legs engage on the feet and the arms on the struts or the seat, the wearer can be compressed or pulled apart against the force of the gas pressure spring. In this exercise, the back, chest, arm and abdominal muscles are trained. With the knee bent the thigh and lower leg are also trained. The tensile resistance can also be realized by different types of telescopic dampers.

If at least two feet are provided on the stand, it is advantageous to provide them with rollers so that the training device can also be used as a walking aid. In this case, the rollers are arranged on the feet so that they do not come into contact with the floor during normal use of the training device. For this, the training device must be tilted slightly.

  • Fig. 2 eine Vorderansicht des Trainingsgeräts gemäß I aus Fig. 1.
The invention is described below with reference to the schematic drawing, for example. In this show:
  • Fig. 1 is a side view of a training device and
  • FIG. 2 shows a front view of the training device according to I from FIG. 1.

The training device 10, as shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, consists of a stand 12, at the upper end of which a seat 14 is arranged.

The stand 12 has an obliquely upwardly directed support tube 16 which is angled slightly upward in the upper third, at the lower longitudinal end of which two L-shaped spreading feet 18, 20 are arranged. In the kink area of the feet from the vertical to the horizontal section, wheels 22 are provided, through which the training device 10 can be easily transported or used as a walking aid. The feet 18, 20 are screwed to the support tube 16 in the lower region of the support tube 16. In the upper area of the support tube 16, a collar 24 is formed, above which two struts 26, 28 are rotatably mounted about the support tube 16 by means of plastic bushings. The struts 26, 28 form the two legs of a V. The angle enclosed between the two struts 26, 28 can be adjusted via a gas pressure spring 30 which acts on both struts 26, 28. The struts 26, 28 face away from one another Area bearing surfaces 32, 24 in the form of cylindrical cushions, which are provided for resting the thigh or knee area of a person sitting on the seat 14. At the outer longitudinal ends of the struts 26, 28 handles 36, 38 are provided, through which the training device can also be used to strengthen the chest, arm and back muscles. The height of the seat surface relative to the support tube 16 and the struts 26, 28 can be adjusted via a gas pressure spring or a similar telescopic device 40.

The use of the training device is explained below. In a basic exercise, a person sits on the seat 14 and puts the inside of the thighs or the knee area of the legs against the outside of the contact surfaces 32, 34. The sitting position enforces an ergonomically correct sitting style, which prevents postural damage. The thighs are pressed towards each other, whereby the two struts 26, 28 swivel towards one another against the spring force of the gas pressure spring 30. This strengthens the thigh muscles and improves the condition with regular use. In addition, buttocks and abdominal muscles are trained and built up during this exercise.

In a second exercise, the person can stand on the horizontal sections of the feet 18, 22 and pull the seat 14 out or push it in with his hands against the spring force of the gas pressure spring 40. This exercise trains the back, chest, arm and abdominal muscles. If the knee is bent, the thigh and lower leg are also trained.

In a further exercise, the training device is gripped by the handles 36, 38 and tilted in the direction of the free ends of the feet 18, 22. The legs rest on the outside of the two feet 18 and 20. The two struts 26, 28 are now pressed together or pulled apart against the spring force of the gas pressure spring 30. In this exercise, the arm, back, Pectoral and abdominal muscles trained at the same time. The entire leg muscles are stretched without damaging the ligaments and joints.

In the same sitting position, the user presses the feet against the top of the tilted bottom sections of the feet 18, 20 and the seat 14 is gripped with the hands. The seat is pulled out against the spring force of the gas pressure spring 40 or compressed in the opposite direction. Arm, abdominal and back muscles are trained in this movement sequence. The two exercises just mentioned can also be carried out lying down or standing up.

The height of the training device or the height of the seat can also be adjusted manually using the screw connection of part 16 (support tube) and the feet (parts 18 and 20). The gas pressure spring in question can be attached to the support tube 16 either inside or outside.
