Definitions
- the present invention relates to a mixer of the type described in the preamble to claim 1.
- the invention aims to allow economically modify an existing mixer to to make it capable, in particular, of carrying out fast and reliable cold mixes, in particular by continuous mixing.
- the subject of the invention is a mixer according to claim 1.
- the mixer according to the invention can comprise one or more of the features of the claims 2 to 6.
- the mixer 1 shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 is of the type described in DE-C-912 935 cited above. We will assume that it is used to make bituminous mixes with cold for road surfaces. It includes a outer envelope 2 whose general shape, seen in plan (fig. 1), is rectangular. This envelope 2 has a rear vertical wall 3, two walls vertical side 4, 5, and a bottom 6 with W section rounded, and it is fully open towards the front of so as to define a large outlet opening 7.
- This double bottom extends over about two-thirds of the length of the envelope from the rear wall 3.
- a transverse partition 9 in the shape of a rounded W, of constant height, which fills the space separating this double bottom from the bottom 6 (fig. 2).
- a ledge 10 leaves horizontally from the upper edge of walls 4 and 5 then extends obliquely down until covering the edges upper longitudinal sides of the double bottom 8.
- the elements described above define together three tanks, namely a first tank 11 of mixing of gravel, a second mixing tank 12 sand and a third tank 13 for final mixing.
- each tank 11, 12 has a rectangular shape in plan, the two rectangles having the same dimensions, is closed backwards and fully open towards the front, so as to define respective outlet openings 14 of the two tanks.
- These two tanks have a U-shaped cross section (fig. 2) with on each side a vertical wall of the same height, the central wall being common, and a bottom to semicircle section.
- a first tree 15 of agitation and advance is mounted along the central axis X-X of the tank 11. Sound rear end pivots in the wall 3, while its front end pivots in a bearing 16 carried by a horizontal bar 17 mounted across the outlet opening 7.
- This shaft 15 carries, all along of the tank 11, of the radial arms 18 on the end which are inclined blades 19.
- the arms 18 are arranged at regular intervals and angularly offset 90 ° from one arm to the next.
- the part of the shaft 15 located in the tank 13 carries arms radial 20 with inclined blades 21.
- a shaft 22 extends along the axis Y-Y of the tank 12, from the wall 3 to a bearing 23 carried by the bar 17.
- This shaft carries in the tank 12 of the radial arms 24 with inclined blades 25 and, in the tank 13, radial arms 26 with inclined blades 27.
- Arms 18 and 24 are relatively long small to be able to rotate in tanks 11 and 12, the circles described by the end of the blades 19 and 25 being indicated at 28 and 29 in FIG. 2.
- the arms 20 and 26 are significantly longer than the arms 18 and 24, and the ends of the blades 21 and 27 describe two circles 30 and 31 which interpenetrate (fig. 2).
- the shafts 15 and 22 can be driven in rotation by means not shown comprising a motor and a reduction box making a connection positive mechanics between the two shafts, in order to avoid the interference of the arms 20 and 26 of the third tank 13.
- each of the tanks 11 and 12 are mounted two ramps, namely a spraying boom 32 a bituminous binder in the form of an aqueous emulsion and a ramp 33 for spraying adjuvants.
- the position of these ramps along the X-X and Y-Y axes can be set to will in each application, as well as their positions angular.
- the ramps 33 are mounted near the wall 3 and perpendicularly to axes X-X and Y-Y, and the ramps 32 are mounted obliquely, a short distance in front of the ramps 33.
- Ramps 32 and ramps 33 spray two bituminous emulsions and two additives on these aggregates, over most of the width of the two tanks.
- the two emulsions and both adjuvants can have the same composition for the two tanks, or different compositions adapted to each fraction associated particle size. The four rates are set appropriately.
- the two particle size fractions are agitated and propelled forward by the blades 19 and 25, and the parameters are chosen so that they both are properly coated when arriving at the front end of the tanks 11 and 12.
- the two coated fractions then fall in the tank 13 through the openings 14.
- the two fractions are mixed and propelled forward by blades 21 and 27, and it's a mixture well-coated final that exits through the exit opening 7.
- the sand (0/2) is previously treated with 1.5 to 3% by weight of an aqueous adjuvant, injected by the ramp 33 of the tank 12, the other ramp 33 not being not used.
- Half of the overall dosage of the above-mentioned binder is injected into each tank 11, 12 by the ramps 32.
- the two coated fractions meet in the tank 13, where the mixing is carried out.
- the tank mixing 11 is added to a traditional mixer continuous which groups, without modification, the tanks 12 and 13, without the separating partition 9 of FIGS. 1 and 2.
- the tank 11 which is open towards the front and has its own agitator shaft rotated independently, is provided rollers 42 rolling on longitudinal rails 43 fixed to the envelope 2, in the upper plane thereof.
- the tank 11 is offset laterally, and its width is about half that of the mixer.
- his length is significantly less than that of the latter.
- the position of the front end plane of the tank 11, that is to say from its exit, can thus be easily adjusted to the length of the mixer by moving the tank 11 along the rails 43.
- the fictitious extension 44 of this plan defines the limit between tanks 12 and 13.
- the 1A mixer can be used in a wide variety of applications, besides production cold bituminous mixes as described above: hot coating of aggregates with a bituminous binder, coating of aggregates with hydraulic binders and hydrocarbons associated or not, with, in each case, possibility of using various additives.
