Claims (8)
- Procédé de fabrication d'arbres à cames en fonte à graphite lamellaire durcie par refusion superficielle selon lequel on porte la fonte à la température de fusion, on effectue une décantation du bain de fonte et l'on introduit avant la coulée un élément désoxydant dans ledit bain dans le but d'obtenir une fonte à graphite lamellaire à basse teneur d'oxygène et d'azote, caractérisé par le fait qu'on utilise une fonte dont la teneur en soufre est inférieure à 0.035% en poids, ledit désoxydant étant introduit dans une proportion de 0.001% à 0.02% en poids.
- Procédé selon la revendication 1, caractérisé en ce que la fonte à traiter possède la composition :
C % Si % P % Mn % Cr % Cu % Sn % V % Mo % Autres % 2,6-3,5 1,6-2,8 0-0,15 0-1 0-0,6 0-1 0-0,2 0-0,2 0-0,6 0-0,3 - Procédé selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 ou 2, caractérisé par le fait que l'élément désoxydant est additionné sous forme d'un alliage dont la teneur en cedit élément est comprise entre 5 et 30% en poids.
- Procédé selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 3, caractérisé par le fait que l'addition d'un élément désoxydant dans le bain de fonte est précédée d'une opération de désulfuration du bain de fonte lorsque la fonte à graphite lamellaire initiale a une teneur en soufre supérieure à 0.035% en poids.
- Procédé selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 4, caractérisé par le fait que l'élément désoxydant est constitué par du magnésium.
- Procédé selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 4, caractérisé par le fait que l'élément désoxydant est constitué par du calcium.
- Procédé selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 4, caractérisé par le fait que l'élément désoxydant est constitué par du baryum.
- Procédé selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 4, caractérisé par le fait que l'élément désoxydant est constitué par du cérium.
