This elastomer is made of open cell foam.
- the solid rod 431 has at its end a cylindrical housing 432 in which the end 436 of the deformable element 435 is tightly mounted.
- the solid rod 531 has at its end an annular cylindrical housing 532 bordered in the center by a stiffener 534 of elongated shape, along the axis of the rod 531, the axial length is greater than that of the housing 532;
- the deformable element 535 has a cavity 538 of shape complementary to that of the stiffener 534 on which it is threaded tight, the end 536 of the element 535 also being mounted tight in the housing 532; the stiffener 534 makes it possible to guide the deformable element 535 during its deformation.
- the solid rod 631 has at its end a stiffener 634, without annular housing as in the previous variant; a radial protrusion 637 with which the stiffener 634 is provided allows better axial retention of the deformable element 635.
- Figures 12 and 13 show an alternative applicator in which the capillary tip 11 which limits the product reservoir 2 is provided with a seat 24 pierced with several capillary slots 230, six slots in the form of arcs of circle in the example shown in these figures; of course, these slots may have, in cross section, any suitable shape, such as for example those shown in Figures 16 / I to 16 / V; these slots may have, in longitudinal section of frustoconical shapes 231 as shown in Figure 17, or partially frustoconical 232 as shown in Figure 18, so as to provide a reserve of product.
- the end piece 11 of this variant is made of a rigid material and carries threads 203 on the outer surface of its upper part 202; said upper part 202 extends downward along a flared skirt 200 surrounding the seat 24, being at a radial distance from the latter; the skirt 200 covers the tank 2, of hemispherical shape, and is joined to said tank 2 for example by gluing; advantageously, the reservoir 2 is made of a transparent material.
- the threads 203 of the end piece 11 cooperate with threads 403 of the cap 4 which also carries on the inner face of its upper part an annular sealing lip 404, for sealing the capillary end piece 11, the lip 404 surrounding a transverse solid wall constituting the plug 40.
- the applicator is similar to that of FIG. 12, except that the reservoir 2 is a flexible tube connected to the flared skirt 200, here shorter than that of the variant of FIG. 12.
- the applicator comprises an applicator holder 30 which is not integral with the cap 4; the applicator holder 30, which supports the deformable element 35, consists of a plate 301 on one face of which the element 35 is secured, while the other face of the plate 301 carries a grip handle 302, the whole of the holder applicator 30 thus constituting a kind of application puff.
- the cap 4 carries on the inner face of its upper part a central rib 440 intended to cooperate with the grip handle 302 by means of which the applicator holder 30 is applied to the seat 24 when the cap 4 is screwed onto the upper part of the end piece 11, by cooperation of the threads 203 and 403 respectively carried by the capillary end piece 11 and the cap 4; the cap 4 also carries on the inner face of its upper part an annular sealing lip 404, for sealing the capillary end 11; a transverse plate closes the skirt 200 at its lower part to constitute the reservoir 2.
- the applicator is of the type of applicators described in connection with FIGS. 12 to 15 except that the capillary tip 11 is made of semi-rigid material, attached to the neck of the reservoir 2, said capillary tip 11 being a part separate from the tank 2, as described with reference to FIGS. 1 to 11.

Description
Un applicateur correspondant au préambule de la revendication 1 est connu du document EP-A-0 380 182.The present invention relates to an applicator intended for local treatment of the skin; such treatment is, for example, anti-stain treatment, anti-rosacea. Its purpose is to produce an applicator capable of delivering an infinitesimal dose directly to the skin in a very precise manner, and in addition allowing it to be massaged. An applicator corresponding to the preamble of claim 1 is known from document EP-A-0 380 182.
According to the present invention, such an applicator comprises a reservoir containing a product to be applied, a cap intended to close the reservoir, and an applicator holder supporting a deformable element for applying the product, made of foam or of low hardness elastomer, and l deformable element carrying on the surface asperities and being provided with a large shape memory, and is characterized in that the product reservoir is limited by a capillary tip in the form of a thimble having a bottom provided with a seat pierced with at least one capillary orifice against which the deformable element is applied and deformed in the closed position of the reservoir by the cap.
The application element advantageously consists of an open cell foam communicating with each other when the deformable element is not deformed.
Thanks to this arrangement, when the deformable element is compressed on the seat at the bottom of the capillary end piece, its contact surface with said seat has increased; when the applicator is opened, that is to say when the cap is separated from the reservoir, the deformable element returns to its initial shape which it has in the free state and creates a suction effect which sucks the drop of product maintained so far by capillary action on the face of the bottom of the capillary end opposite to that which carries the seat, due to the presence of the capillary orifice.
The arrangement of the applicator according to the invention allows the realization, in a simple manner, of several functions. The deformable element compressed on the seat seals the tank. The strong shape memory of the deformable element allows the pumping and suction function of the product. The flexibility of the deformable element allows a local massage of the skin.
The end of the deformable element which cooperates with the seat and the orifice is flat, or in the form of a conical point, or round.
Preferably, the applicator holder supporting the deformable element comprises a hollow rod; alternatively, it comprises a rigid retaining sleeve in the form of a warhead.
According to another variant, the applicator holder comprises a rigid rigid rod; advantageously, the solid rod is provided, at its end, with an elongated stiffener to guide the deformable element during its deformation.
The capillary tip is carried by a spacer integral with the reservoir and traversed by the applicator holder.
According to a preferred embodiment, the capillary orifice opens into the reservoir in a flared, frustoconical portion, which serves as a capillary reservoir. The dimensions of the capillary orifice will be adjusted according to the viscosity of the product to be applied.
Advantageously, the capillary tip is made of semi-rigid material; alternatively, the end piece is made of a rigid material.
To better understand the object of the invention, we will now describe, by way of purely illustrative and nonlimiting example, an embodiment shown in the accompanying drawings.
