Definitions
- the invention relates to a reversing and Coupling auxiliary device, which is on a motor vehicle and a drawbar of a trailer is mounted, on Motor vehicle sensors, a control unit and a display are attached, and a sensor on the drawbar is appropriate.
- the Collision warning devices contain ultrasonic sensors, the distance to other objects in the nearer Can determine the surroundings of the vehicle.
- the Collision warning devices are designed so that they when falling below a specified minimum distance Give warning signals.
- the well-known Collision warning devices based on the sounder principle work are preferably attached in the rear of the vehicle and shine backwards in that of the leader of the Motor vehicle not visible area. It can however, only one piece of information is received that the driver only informed in general about whether Rear area of the motor vehicle is an obstacle and what distance this obstacle is from the motor vehicle.
- infrared sensors have the disadvantage if they are not movably arranged that they are only one relative cover a narrow area, such as the Cannot locate the tiller head of a trailer safely.
- infrared heaters are very pollution sensitive, which is the functionality influenced considerably in truck use, and they react to ambient light influences that a use strong sunlight almost impossible.
- the invention is based, a reversing and the task Coupling auxiliary device of the generic type create with the easy way, even at difficult environmental conditions, a reliable detection and positioning of an im rear area of a motor vehicle Head of a drawbar using only one medium is possible.
- the object is characterized by the of claim 1 specified feature solved.
- the attached to the drawbar Ultrasonic sensor a time control and its own Has power supply and thus with the coupling aid of direct, i.e. the shortest, route between the, on Motor vehicle attached ultrasonic sensors and that ultrasonic sensor attached to the drawbar can. It is advantageous that by a small System effort one reversing aid and one Coupling aid function with a known per se Distance warning system and a self-sufficient Ultrasonic sensor can be realized.
- the on the motor vehicle arranged ultrasonic sensors at a time at the same time send out a pulse that the ultrasonic sensor the arranged on the drawbar is replied at a later time and each time a new impulse on the motor vehicle arranged ultrasonic sensors triggers.
- the on the motor vehicle arranged ultrasonic sensors at a time at the same time send out a pulse that the ultrasonic sensor the arranged on the drawbar is replied at a later time and each time a new impulse on the motor vehicle arranged ultrasonic sensors triggers.
- FIG. 1 is schematic in a block diagram the entire reversing and coupling auxiliary device shown.
- This has three ultrasonic sensors S1, S2, S3, which are coupled to a control unit 10 are, in turn via a line 11 with a Display device, in particular a digital display device 12 connected is.
- the ultrasonic sensors S1, S2, S3 are here as sending and receiving units trained and on a, not shown here, Motor vehicle, on the rear side, preferably on an underride guard arranged in motor vehicles attached.
- the ultrasonic sensors S1, S2, S3 is on a, also not shown here, Trailer an ultrasonic sensor SD assigned.
- the ultrasonic sensor SD is on the Trailer drawbar of the trailer vehicle, in particular arranged on a bracket provided there, so that he has a fixed position in any case has reference to the eyelet or the ball head.
- the offset of the drawbar sensor to the ball head or ring eyelet is hidden, for example, by software.
- the ultrasonic sensor SD has a similar structure like the ultrasonic sensors S1, S2, S3, that is, it is also used as a sending and receiving unit operated, but also has additional control electronics designed as time control and its own power supply. The own power supply is necessary because in the uncoupled state, no connection between the trailer vehicle and the towing vehicle.
- the ultrasonic sensor SD also advantageously has a control LED display that shows the Receive a signal and the function of the sensor signals.
- FIG. 2 the measuring principle is now that in Figure 1 illustrated schematic arrangement explained in more detail. It is the one designed as underride protection Reversing rail 14, again not shown Motor vehicle shown.
- the reversing rail In addition to those already in FIG. 1, 14 contains shown ultrasonic sensors S1, S2; S3 on her Edge area of further ultrasonic sensors S4, S5.
- the Ultrasonic sensor S2 is located exactly in the center of the vehicle and is a coupling mouth 16 a coupling device, not shown here assigned.
- the arrangement of the ultrasonic sensors S1 to S5 determine a measuring range 18, within of which the ultrasonic sensor assigned to the drawbar SD can be located.
- the ultrasonic sensors S1, S2, S3 send a pulse I.
- the ultrasonic sensor SD receives the pulse I and, after a waiting time t offset set by the time sequence control, transmits all multiple reflections between the towing vehicle and the trailer are, an impulse I 'back.
- the ultrasonic sensors S1, S2, S3 receive the pulse I 'of the ultrasonic sensor SD at the times t E1 , t E2 and t E3 .
- the time of transmission of the drawbar assigned ultrasonic sensor SD is the synchronization cycle of the entire coupling auxiliary device completed and it can for the following cycles, each of which determine the exact position of the drawbar, the time of transmission of the ultrasonic sensor assigned to the drawbar SD can be calculated exactly in advance.
- the distance between the ultrasonic sensors S1, S2 and S3 from one another is designated by x, where x is known beforehand and is therefore constant at all times. Furthermore, the distance between the ultrasonic sensor SD and thus the drawbar to the coupling mouth 16 is denoted by h and the lateral offset to the external ultrasonic sensor S3 is denoted by y 1 .
- the resulting direct distances from the ultrasonic sensor SD to the ultrasonic sensors S1, S2 and S3 are denoted by l 1 , l 2 and l 3 .
- the lengths l 1 , l 2 , l 3 are known in that an exact length determination is made by converting the times t 1 , t 2 and t 3 on the basis of the known sound propagation speed of the pulses emitted by the ultrasonic sensors S1, S2, S3 and SD is possible.
- Control unit 10 This shows in a suitable manner the actual position of the coupling jaw 16 the drawbar on the display 12 so that a Driver controlling the motor vehicle by appropriate Steering or driving reactions the motor vehicle can control that even without immediate vision behind the rear of the vehicle Coupling mouth 16 securely to the drawbar of the trailer can lead.
- the possibility described the structure or mode of operation of a coupling auxiliary device is basically with only two Ultrasonic sensors attached to the motor vehicle are possible. The use of those described here three ultrasonic sensors S1, S2, S3 however, this allows via the ultrasonic sensors S1, S2, S3 signals obtained among themselves To investigate plausibility, so that any Interference can be safely avoided.
