Definitions

  • the invention relates to an end wall made of injection molding material for a winding roll, with a rectangular, in particular square, rounded corner surfaces having plate, the front of which facing the winding roll has a central plug-in pin and locking cam, and the back of which points away from the winding roll by radial and annular ribs is, with stacking cams which delimit stacking pockets, on side walls of the plate which are at right angles to the plate, the stacking pockets being shaped complementarily to the stacking cams.
  • a one-piece end wall made of plastic which consists of a square, preferably square, stiffened with radial webs flat plate.
  • an insertion pin for the winding material roll which is equipped with holding prisms, for example.
  • the plate is wrapped in a belt, on the outside of which small prismatic strips are arranged.
  • the belt encloses four cup-shaped depressions which protrude into the free cavity between the material to be wound and the packaging jacket and which are open near the outer end face and has a circumferential stop bar which is provided with teeth.
  • a protective packaging for film and metal rolls which consists of two identical flanges equipped with a hollow hub that can be inserted into the winding core of the roll.
  • Each of these flanges has at least two outer edges or edge parts flanged parallel to one another, which are provided with incisions and tongues, by means of which, when stacking several rollers, an interlocking of the stacked flange edges is achieved and a mutual displacement of the stacked rollers is prevented.
  • these flanges cannot be stacked arbitrarily, but can only be stacked next to one another or one above the other and brought into engagement with one another in a specific assignment.
  • GB 1,497,929 describes square end walls for winding rolls, flanges being present at right angles to the end wall along each side edge of an end wall.
  • One of the four circumferential flanges has two projecting pins, while the opposite flange has two holes at the locations that correspond to the locations of the pins.
  • the winding rolls are stacked in rows, the upper row of the winding rolls with their end walls being offset relative to the lower row in such a way that the pins of one end wall are in engagement with the holes of two underlying end walls lying underneath, as a result of which a lateral displacement of the two Rows of winding rolls against each other is prevented.
  • the end walls without a winding roll can be stacked on top of each other with horizontally oriented end walls, but the vertically oriented end walls, in particular with the winding rolls, cannot be stacked with their side walls as desired, but can only be stacked next to or on top of one another and with each other in a specific assignment be engaged. This means that packaged winding rolls can not be easily and safely stacked tightly on top of each other.
  • the object of the present invention is to further develop the known end walls of the type described in the introduction in such a way that contact of the edge region of the winding roller with the end walls and an associated sprain of the edge region of the winding roller are avoided, with simple, safe and non-slip stacking of the with End walls packed winding rolls on pallets and an increase in the strength of the end walls.
  • the ring attachment has an outer diameter d smaller than the edge length a of the end wall and smaller than the diameter D of the winding roll.
  • the ring attachment is an integral part of an attachment, the outer edges of which are set back from the edges of the plate by the depth of guide grooves and have circular recesses at the corners which have diameters larger than those of the locking cams.
  • the thickness S of the ring attachment is greater than the thickness s of the attachment.
  • the advantages are achieved that the ring attachment alone or together with the attachment ensures that the winding roll with its larger diameter compared to the ring attachment, in its edge region, which is wound softer than its core region, does not come into contact with the end wall or walls arrives so that the material to be wound cannot be compressed, that the corrugation ensures a secure hold of the wrapped winding roll on the pallet and, moreover, the load on the side wall of the end wall resting on the pallet is evenly distributed over the entire length of the side wall, so that thereby together with the reinforcement of the back of the end wall by additional webs, the risk of breakage of the side wall is largely eliminated and that the beveled side surfaces of the stacking cams and stacking pockets allow problem-free stacking and unstacking of the rolls packed with these end walls.
  • the end wall 1 consists of a rectangular, in particular square plate 11, at the four corners of which locking cams 4 are arranged, which have cam lugs 16.
  • corner surfaces 15 of the end wall 1 are rounded, and the cylindrical locking cams 4 are integrated with these corner surfaces and have the same radius as the rounded corner surfaces 15.
  • the cylindrical cam lugs 16 are offset by a shoulder from the locking cams 4 and have a smaller diameter than the locking cams.
  • the front side which faces the winding roller, protects the front side of the winding roller against damage, in particular during transport, and has an annular attachment 35, which encloses a central insertion pin 2.
  • the ring attachment 35 has an outer diameter d and, including the wall thickness s of the plate 11, a thickness S.
  • the outer diameter d is smaller than the edge length a of the end wall 1 and also smaller than the diameter D of a winding roll 27 (cf. FIG. 4).
  • the wall thickness s is in the range from 2 to 4 mm, in particular it is 2.5 mm.
  • the ring attachment 35 is formed, for example, from the same plastic as the end wall 1.
  • the thickness S from the wall thickness s and the ring attachment is in the range from 4 to 20 mm.
  • V-shaped webs 3 run parallel to the longitudinal axis of the insertion pin and have a cross section that becomes smaller towards the front of the plate 11.
  • the plug-in pin 2 is pressed into the bore of the winding tube.
  • the V-shaped webs 3 on the insertion pin 2 ensure a better hold of the insertion pin in the winding sleeve and the same dimensional tolerances of the winding sleeve on the one hand and the insertion pin on the other.
  • the diameter of the hollow cylindrical insertion pin 2 is adapted to the diameter of the respective bore of the winding tube.
  • FIG. 2 The perspective view in FIG. 2 of the rear of the end wall 1, which faces away from the winding roll and points outwards, shows radial ribs 5 and ring ribs 14 which stiffen the rear side and thereby avoid excessive wall thicknesses, so that the unit weight of the end wall 1 is kept low can be.
  • the radial and ring ribs result in a high load capacity of the end wall 1 with a low weight.
  • the radial ribs 5 are additionally reinforced and stiffened by webs 32 which run perpendicular to the plate 11 in the surface of the radial ribs 5.
  • the stacking cams 9 and 19 limit stacking pockets 8, 18, which are designed to be complementary to the stacking cams.
  • the stacking cams 9 are shorter than the stacking cams 19.
  • the base body of the two groups of stacking cams 9, 19 is in each case cuboid, one side surface 20 or 21 of the stacking cam 9 or 19 being chamfered and inclined towards the side wall 13.
  • Each stacking cam 9 is arranged near one of the two corner surfaces 15 of a side wall 13, one stacking cam 9 being formed rotated by 180 ° with respect to the other stacking cam 9.
  • the two other stacking cams 19 of a side wall 13 are also rotated by 180 ° to each other and diagonally offset from one another.
  • One stack cam 9 and 19 is aligned, for example, with the lower edge of the side wall 13, while the stack cams 19 and 9 rotated by 180 ° are aligned with the upper edge of the side wall 13.
  • the longer stacking cam 19 also has inclined surfaces 22, 23 in addition to the beveled side surface 21.
  • the group of shorter stacking cams 9 also has inclined surfaces 24, 25 per stacked cam.
  • the inclined surfaces 22, 24; 23, 23 of the stacking cams 9 and 19 each form the boundary walls for a guide groove 7 which receives a strapping of the winding roll 27.
  • the side walls 13 and 30 there are at least two guide grooves 7, which are for example 20 mm wide and about 10 mm deep.
  • two guide grooves 7 are shown.
  • the corrugation 31 between two guide grooves 7 consists of prismatic corrugations 34 with triangular cross sections.
  • the two end walls of a winding roll are firmly connected to the winding roll by strapping with two or three plastic or metal straps.
  • the exact distance of the guide grooves 7 is selected from each other so that the strapping can be attached by a tandem strapping system. If necessary, the end wall edges can be reinforced at the strapping points and the guide grooves can be given the appropriate strength by an opposite end wall rib.
  • the radial ribs 5 and the annular ribs 14 on the back of the plate 11 are at the same height as the outer edge or the edge of the side walls 13 and 30 of the plate 11.
  • This number of stacking cams is sufficient, for example, with dimensions of 485 x 505 mm of the end wall 1, but it is obvious that with larger dimensions of the end wall, such as 585 x 605 mm or 680 x 700 mm, correspondingly more stacking cams 9 and 19 per Side wall must be present.
  • the number of guide grooves 7 will then also be greater than three.
  • the plate 11 has a central cylindrical through opening 12.
  • the hollow cylindrical insertion pin 2 is connected to this central through opening 12 via a shoulder 29.
  • the diameter of the through opening 12 is larger than the outer diameter of the insertion pin 2.
  • On the back of the plate 11 there are cutouts 6 which are surrounded by the rounded corner surfaces 15 and rounded webs 17.
  • the cutouts 6 connect to the rear of the hollow cylindrical locking cams 4.
  • the rounded webs 17 are by further webs 33, the run perpendicular to the plate 11, reinforced. These cylindrical webs 33 have a diameter that is greater than the wall thickness of the rounded webs 17.
  • the cam lugs 16 of the locking cams 4 of one end wall engage in the recess 6 on the rear side of the plate 11 of the end wall above.
  • the insertion pin 2 engages in the through opening 12, which results in the possibility of stacking and palletizing the end walls in a space-saving manner.
  • the stacking cams and stacking pockets engage in one another in such a way that a displacement along or across the side wall 13 is not possible.
  • the beveled side surfaces 20, 21 of the stacking cams and the stacking pockets allow problem-free stacking and unstacking of the winding rolls packed with these end walls. Mutual locking of the complete winding rolls stacked on one another or next to one another and packed by the end walls 1 is achieved.
  • the end walls 1 are made, for example, from thermoplastic materials by injection molding. Regenerates and recycling materials can be used.
  • the stacking cams as well as the webs and ribs are molded in the same injection molding process.
  • two opposite side walls (3) of the end wall can have a corrugation (31).
  • Fig. 3 shows a perspective bottom view of a second end wall 1, which differs from the end wall according to Figures 1 and 2 in such a way that the ring attachment 35 is an integral part of an attachment 36, which has a rectangular or square shape.
  • the outer edges of the attachment 36 are set back from the edges of the plate 11 by the depth of approximately 10 mm of the guide grooves 7. Although not shown, the outer edges of the attachment 36 can also coincide with the edges of the plate 11.
  • the attachment has circular recesses 37 which have a diameter which is slightly larger than the diameter of the locking cams 4, so that the attachment 36 can be easily pushed onto the plate 11.
  • the thickness S of the ring cap 35 is greater than the thickness s of the cap 36.
  • FIG. 4 shows a sectional view of the configuration of the attachment 36 with the ring attachment 35 and the dimensions of these parts with respect to one another and with the winding roller 27 and the end wall 1, which is shown in part.
  • the ring attachment as an annular bead 38 is an integral part of the front of the end wall.
  • the wall thickness s of the plate 11 and the annular bead 38 are of the same size, since the plate 11 merges into the annular bead 38. This saves material compared to the embodiment according to FIG. 4.
  • the diameter of the annular bead 38 is smaller than the edge length of the end wall 1. It is also possible to form the attachment 36 and the ring attachment 35 together with the end wall 1 during injection molding as their integral components of the front.
