Description

The invention relates to a method for introducing product-filled packaging, in particular tubular bags, into shipping containers, the packaging being passed flat from a feeding device to a transfer belt and then inserted upright into the shipping container at a transfer point, which leads past the transfer point below the transfer belt and be filled starting at one end wall. The packaging to be placed in the shipping containers is primarily flexible packaging or packaging that has only a low level of stability when folded up.

In the known generic method (EP-A 331 210), the packs are introduced into the shipping containers via an arcuate transfer belt, which are transported horizontally in and out at the transfer point. During the filling process, the packaging already inserted in the shipping container to be filled is held by a support element which is immersed in the shipping container. After completing the filling process, the support element is pulled out and reinserted into a subsequent empty shipping container. The packaging must also be clamped onto the transfer belt. The process is complex.

The invention has for its object to further develop the method described above so that flexible and less stable packaging can be placed upright in the shipping container, without the need for immersing support elements into the shipping container during the filling process.

To achieve this object, the invention teaches that the shipping containers are inclined in the transport direction down past the transfer point and filled. Due to the inclined position of the shipping container during the filling process, the stack of product-filled packaging (bag stack) already placed in the shipping container rests against the front end wall of the shipping container in the direction of transport and is adequately supported on it. The stack of bags cannot tip or slip. The product-filled packaging, for example tubular bags, folding box packaging, blisters and the like, can be introduced into the shipping container in one or more rows, and also with lateral overlap.

There are various possibilities for the further configuration of the method according to the invention. One embodiment of the invention provides that a distance between successive packs is set on the transfer belt, which is sufficiently dimensioned to position the shipping container to be filled for the introduction of the subsequent pack. The transfer belt serves, as it were, a synchronization between the transport of the packaging brought up by the feed device on the one hand and the transport of the shipping containers to and from the other. The shipping containers can be moved at the transfer point in cycles with a cycle adapted to the filling process or else continuously. According to another embodiment of the invention, packaging groups are formed on the transfer belt from shingled packs, each of which comprises a number of packs adapted to the size of the shipping containers. The packs are shingled one on top of the other in the assigned shipping container. During the fanning-in, the shipping containers are continuously moved on at the transfer point, at a speed adapted to the transfer process.

The invention further relates to a device for carrying out the described method with a transport device for the supply and removal of shipping containers, with a feed device for product-filled packaging and with a transfer belt adjoining the feed device, which conveys the flat-lying packagings into the at a transfer point below introduces the shipping container that is passed by the transfer belt upright, the transport device having a transport belt carrying the shipping container, which is arranged inclined in the region of the transfer point with a gradient in the transport direction. The inclination of the conveyor belt is preferably operationally adjustable and changeable. The transfer belt can also be adjusted with a gradient in the conveying direction. An angle range of 0 to 45 ° can be considered as the setting range for the inclination of the transfer belt. The contact surfaces of the conveyor belt and the transfer belt adjoin each other at an obtuse angle. A small obtuse angle between the conveyor belt and the transfer belt, preferably an angle between 90 and 130 °, is advantageous for the transfer of the packaging. The transfer belt can be equipped with an electronic control which regulates the distance between successive packs or the distance between successive pack groups of flaked packs by controlling the feed rate. It goes without saying that the conveyor belt also has a drive which is expediently electronically controllable.

a device for introducing product-filled packaging, in particular tubular bags (soft bags), into shipping containers,
Fig. 2
a further embodiment of the device shown in Fig. 1.

The basic structure of the device includes a transport device 1 for the delivery and removal of the shipping container 2, a feed device 3 for the bags 4 to be packed, filled with a product 4 and with a transfer belt 5 connected to the feed device 3. The bags 4 are lying flat from the Transfer the feed device 3 to the transfer belt 5 and then insert it upright into the shipping container 2 at a transfer point 6. The shipping containers 2 are guided past the transfer point 6 below the transfer belt 5 and in each case are filled beginning at an end wall 7. The shipping containers 2 can be moved at the transfer point 6 in cycles with a cycle adapted to the filling process or continuously with a transport speed adapted to the filling process.

It can be seen from the figures that the transport device 1 has a transport belt 8 which carries the shipping container 2 and which is arranged inclined in the region of the transfer point 6 with a gradient in the transport direction. The bow arrow indicates that the inclination of the conveyor belt 8 is operationally adjustable and changeable. Due to the inclined position of the shipping container 2 at the transfer point 6, the already inserted stack of bags 9 rests on the front end wall 7 of the shipping container 2 and is therefore securely supported at all times. The bags cannot tip or slip. The conveyor belt 8 can be designed as a vacuum belt or stop or driver elements for the Have shipping containers. The transfer belt 5 can also be adjusted with a slope in the conveying direction, preferably in an angular range from 0 to 45 °. Transfer and conveyor belt 5, 8 are aligned with each other so that the bearing surfaces of both belts 5, 8 include a slightly obtuse angle α, preferably an angle α between 90 and 130 °.

In the embodiment of the device according to the invention shown in FIG. 1, a distance between successive packs is set on the transfer belt 5, which distance is dimensioned sufficiently to position the shipping container 2 to be filled for the introduction of the respective subsequent pack. The transfer belt 5 is expediently equipped with an electronic control (not shown) which regulates the distance between successive packs by controlling the feed rate.

In the embodiment according to FIG. 2, packaging groups 10 are formed on the transfer belt 5 from shingled bags 4, each of which comprises a number of bags 4 adapted to the size of the shipping container 2. The bags 4 are shingled one on top of the other in the assigned shipping container 2. The conveyor belt 8 is continuously moved in the transport direction at a speed adapted to the transfer process.

The devices were exemplified for the introduction of product-filled bag packaging. It is understood that the devices are also suitable for filling other, flexible and non-stable packaging. The packaging can be introduced into the shipping container in one or more rows, if necessary also with lateral overlaps.
