Abstract

The invention relates to a method for introducing into packaging containers flexible foil packages filled with an amorphous product, in which a group of bags made up of foil packages (6) lying one on top of the other in overlapping formation is conveyed horizontally and introduced vertically into the packaging container (1) over a curved conveying section (4). According to the invention, the foil packages are conveyed flat on a conveyor belt (5) without overlap and following one another in series and transferred to an intermediate belt (7) driven at a slower transport speed, thus forming a bag group of imbricated foil packages. After a predetermined number of foil packages assigned to the packaging container (1) have been received, the intermediate belt (7) is accelerated for a short period, a bag- group section with a subsequent gap being formed. The bag-group section is introduced over the curved conveying section (4) into the packaging container (1). After the filling operation is complete, during the time interval given by the gap, the deflection element (12) is withdrawn from the packaging container (1), the packaging container (1) is transported away and the deflecting element (12) is inserted into a following, empty packaging container. <IMAGE>

Description

Die Erfindung bezieht sich gattungsgemäß auf ein Verfahren zum Einbringen von mit nicht lagefixiertem Gut gefüllten flexiblen Folienverpackungen, insbesondere mit riesel- oder fließfähigem Gut gefüllten Flachbeuteln, in Verpackungsbehälter, bei dem ein Beutelstrang aus schuppenförmig aufeinanderliegenden Folienverpackungen horizontal herangeführt und über einen bogenförmigenThe invention relates generically to a method for introducing flexible film packaging filled with non-fixed material, in particular flat bags filled with free-flowing or flowable material, into packaging containers, in which a strand of bags consisting of film packaging lying on top of one another in a horizontal manner is fed horizontally and over an arcuate one

The conveying section is inserted vertically into the packaging container, which is filled beginning at an end wall, the string of bags being held in the arcuate conveying section between conveyor belts and in the packaging container each foil packaging abuts a deflecting element of the arched conveying section which is immersed in the packaging container, and the packaging container is under the pressure effect of the imported film packaging is advanced.

In the known generic method (FR-A-22 10 540) the transport of film packaging has to be interrupted when changing the packaging container. In the known method, shortly before the end of the filling process, the conveyor belt for the film packages lying one above the other in the form of scales is stopped briefly and the film packages still located in the curved conveyor section are introduced into the packaging container. Then the deflection element is moved out of the packaging container and a subsequent empty packaging container is brought into the filling position. Only then will the transport of new film packaging continue and a new filling process initiated. In order to avoid a disruptive interruption in the transport of the material to be packed, it is known from GB-A-20 46 711 to work with an acceleration belt. The method known from this publication is suitable for packaging cardboard boxes. The cardboard boxes are transferred from a first conveyor belt to a subsequent conveyor belt that moves at a lower transport speed. The cardboard boxes are stacked on top of one another. After a predetermined number of cardboard boxes to be packed in a packaging container rests on the conveyor belt, the conveyor belt is accelerated and the cardboard boxes lying one above the other at high speeds Free fall speed introduced into the packaging container. This process is unsuitable for film packaging with goods that are not fixed in position. Due to the high impact speeds in the packaging container, the contents would slip, so that a high filling density would not be achievable. With sensitive contents, e.g. B. fragile chips, it can also damage the product.

The invention has for its object to design the generic method so that a tight and filling-gentle packaging of the film packaging is possible, with high performance without disruptive interruption in the transport of the film packaging. There is also the task of specifying a device for carrying out the method.

To achieve this object, the invention teaches that the film packs are brought one after the other in a row lying flat on a conveyor belt and transferred to an intermediate belt driven at a lower transport speed, forming a string of bags made of film packs lying one above the other in such a way that the intermediate belt after receiving a predetermined packaging container assigned number of film packages is accelerated briefly, a bag strand section with a subsequent gap being formed, the bag strand section being introduced into the packaging container via the arcuate conveyor section and that after the filling process has ended, the deflection element is pulled out of the packaging container during the time interval predetermined by the gap, which Transported packaging container and the deflecting element is inserted into a subsequent empty packaging container. According to the shed the film ver packs the double effect that, on the one hand, the transport speed and the resulting impact forces at the end of the conveyor line are reduced without a reduction in performance and, on the other hand, that the film packaging guides itself in the packaging container. There is no intermediate sorting in a magazine. While in the known methods (GB-A-20 46 711) the material to be packaged is pushed against the container bottom of the packaging container at an undefined speed, and specifically without front and rear guidance, the film packages to be packaged are, according to the invention, at a specific conveying speed to the bottom of the packaging container transported, where they are supported on the front and back, so that the goods evenly distributed in the packaging can not shift on one side. In this way, a tight filling of the packaging container with film packaging is ensured without the contents of the film packaging being exposed to harmful pressure loads.

The filling process of the packaging container with film packaging has a favorable effect if the packaging container is advanced solely through the film packaging conveyed into the container. The packaging container should be able to be moved on a stationary surface. In such a case, the weight of the packaging container increases with increasing filling and the dynamic pressure increases correspondingly. This is favorable because, in the case of only a few packages filled into the packaging container, the dynamic pressure should be as small as possible, because otherwise there is a risk that the individual foil packaging is compressed too much and the contents could then be damaged. However, if there is a lot of packaging in the packaging container, there is a large elastic cushion which compensates for too much compression of a single film packaging.

The invention further relates to a device suitable for carrying out the method - with a transport path for packaging containers, a substantially horizontally running conveyor section with load-bearing transport means for feeding film packaging, an arcuate conveyor section adjoining the horizontal conveyor section with a lower conveyor belt arranged on the inside of the sheet, and on the Upper conveyor belt arranged on the outside of the sheet, between which the film packagings can be clamped, the upper conveyor belt being guided at a transfer point to the horizontal conveyor section via a deflecting roller and at a vertical end section via a deflecting element which can be inserted into the packaging container. According to the invention, this device is characterized in that the horizontal conveyor section has a conveyor belt for the supply of film packaging and an adjoining, lower-lying intermediate conveyor belt driven at a low transport speed, the film packaging being able to be brought up and lying flat on the conveyor belt in series without overlap the intermediate conveyor belt can be deposited in a scale-like manner with the formation of a bag strand and that the intermediate conveyor belt can be briefly switched over to a higher speed, a gap in the bag strand being able to be formed. The deflection roller of the upper conveyor belt is preferably arranged to be adjustable in height. A further advantageous embodiment of the invention is characterized in that the upper conveyor belt is guided over a belt store and a deflection element which is adjustable in the direction of belt travel. - The transition from the filling of a packaging container to the next empty packaging container is done in such a way that when moving from the conveyor line with the individually conveyed film packaging to the conveyor line where the descaling takes place, by quick a slower or slower funding a gap is created. As soon as the gap arrives at the packaging container, it is possible to replace the full packaging container with an empty packaging container. This can be done, for example, by returning the deflecting element of the arcuate conveyor section section that forms the stacking point formed in the packaging container in the direction of belt travel and then introducing it again in the new container. This type of transition is necessary if the packaging container can only be moved in the plane of its contact area. If the packaging container can be raised and lowered, this type of transition is not necessary. If the deflecting element is still adjustable in the direction of tape travel, then this makes sense in order to be able to adapt to packaging containers of different heights. To maintain the belt tension, the upper conveyor belt of the curved conveyor section should run through a belt store. The belt store then compensates for the different belt lengths in the region of the curved guide resulting from the adjustment of the deflecting element or from different loading heights of the curved conveyor belt section.

In the following, the invention will be explained in more detail with reference to a drawing showing only one embodiment. The single figure shows a schematic representation of a device for introducing flexible film packaging filled with non-fixed material into a packaging container. In the exemplary embodiment, the film packagings are flat bags which are filled with a pourable or flowable filling material.

The device comprises three characteristic conveyor sections 2, 3, 4 between a filling and closing machine (not shown in the figure) for filling the filling material in flat bags and the packaging container shown in the form of a rectangular, open-top folding carton 1.

The conveyor section 2 runs horizontally and consists of an endless conveyor belt 5, on which the bags 6 filled by the filling and closing machine with evenly distributed contents are placed flat and in a row one behind the other. In the second conveyor section 3, the conveyor belt 5 is followed by a further conveyor belt 7, which is also horizontal, but somewhat lower. This conveyor belt 7 has a lower transport speed than the conveyor belt 5. Because of the different conveyor speeds of the two belts 5, 7, the flat bags 6 are scaly at the transition point from the belt 5 to the belt 7. By briefly switching to a higher speed, a gap can be formed in the flaky bag strand 8.

The transport route section 4 leads from the horizontal to the vertical. It comprises a conveyor belt 9 arranged on the inside of the sheet, which is guided invariably by a guide, not shown. On the outside of the sheet, a second conveyor belt 10 is provided, which at the beginning of the transport section 4 via a deflection roller 11 which is adjustable in height relative to the conveyor belt 9 and at the end of the transport section 4 above the stacking point 1 via a deflection element 12, not shown, which is of low height has and is adjustable in the tape running direction, is guided. Between the deflecting roller 11 and the deflecting element 12, the band is guided by the accumulation and guiding means, not shown supported belt 9, meanwhile it is supported on this belt 9 by clamping the bags 13 conveyed in the conveyor section 4. The belt 10 runs over further deflection rollers 14 to 17, of which the deflection roller 17 holds the belt 10 under tension by means of a spring (not shown). The roll 17 forms the tape storage.

The end of the tape 10 extends into the box 1. A force acts against the carton 1 in the direction of arrow 18, e.g. B. the frictional force of the carton 1 supported on a base, but which allows a retreat (move on the base) of the carton 1 against the direction of the force arrow.

The box 1 is filled in the following way:

The flat bags 6 arriving one after the other in a row and lying flat with evenly distributed filling material are shingled at the transition to the conveyor path 3 because of the lower conveying speed, as already explained. This does not reduce the throughput, but it does reduce the transport speed.

After a certain number of bags 6, which fit, for example, into a carton 1, the belt 7 is accelerated, so that the string of bags 8 is separated from the next string of bags by forming a gap. As soon as the bag strand 8 reaches the downward conveyor section 4, the bags are clamped on both sides by the two belts 9, 10. This gives them a defined conveying speed even on the downhill conveyor. This also ensures that the even distribution of the contents in the bags is maintained. This jammed bag is going also not lost if the individual bag comes out of the effective range of the belt 9, because in the first bag the end wall of the carton 1 takes the lead and then the other, flaky bags. The bags 13 are also conveyed at a defined conveying speed after leaving the belt 9 because they are under the action of the second conveyor belt 10 until they have reached their end position. Since the second conveyor belt 10 is not resiliently supported, the bags conveyed into the carton 1 exert a pressure opposing the direction of force 18, so that the container is displaced on its support as the filling advances against the force acting in the direction of arrow 18. In the simplest case, the box can be placed on a slideway, so that the pressure must be sufficient to set the box 1 in motion. If the pressure is not sufficient or if the pressure for the contents would be too high, a force acting in the direction of movement can also be exerted on the container.

As soon as the carton 1 is filled with flat bags, the gap between two successive strands 8, 13 is used to pull the deflecting element 12 out of the carton 1 and reinsert it into the subsequent packaging container.
