Abstract
Description
The invention is directed to a stacking box, in particular made of plastic, with a bottom, in particular with a bottom grate formed from webs, and with side walls and with areas that project above the upper edge of the side walls in the stacked position.
There are a number of areas of application for such transport boxes, in which, when used as intended, the greatest possible distance between the floors of stacked boxes is to be maintained in the stacking position, for example when transporting living plants, the boxes however being transported back to the filler. When transporting back, the aim is to have the smallest possible space requirement, so that it is known to design the elements projecting beyond the upper edge of the side walls as so-called plug corners, with a number of solutions being known here, for example according to DE-U-88 10 525, EP-A-0 034 464 or GB-A-2 069 459, to name just a few of the known solutions here. DE-U-71 10 068 and DE-U-72 41 484 show elements protruding upwards from the side walls in the corners.
It is also known to form plug-in top frames which can be dismantled into individual parts in the box and returned to the filler, as is known, for example, from the applicant's GB-
Another solution for high-walled transport boxes is to design the corresponding inner wall and outer wall areas of boxes to be stacked so differently that they can be stacked symmetrically so that a maximum floor clearance of adjacent boxes is guaranteed in one stacking position, while the boxes are pivoted in the stacking position pivoted by 180 ° in the horizontal plane slide deeply into each other and thus reduce their transport volume. Such a solution is known for example from EP-C-0 292 787.
If some of the known solutions described here already have advantages, some of them have the disadvantage that e.g. A lot of material has to be produced for the box production or that at least theoretically lost parts are provided, which have to be assembled once at the place of filling and have to be dismantled after the box has been emptied.
The object of the invention is to provide a solution with which a stackable box is created which, with comparatively low material consumption, due to low side walls can be stacked at a distance in the goods transport position and at a short distance in the empties transport position without losing parts.
With a plastic box of the type mentioned, this object is achieved according to the invention in that two opposite side walls are provided with opposite, integrally molded, the side walls projecting upward stack supports, with through openings in the bottom are provided in at least the same number as the stack supports, in which corresponding stack supports of an adjacent stack box can be brought into engagement.
With the invention it is achieved that stack supports on the one hand without loss, since they are arranged in one piece on the plastic box, on the other hand a large amount of plastic material is saved compared to closed boxes, thirdly simple stacking is possible, this does not even require the boxes to be turned from a high stack position to a low stack position. The boxes are either stacked one on top of the other with aligned stacking supports or in pairs the stacking supports are inserted through the corresponding recesses in the floor, so that the box above it sinks to the edge area of the box below.
In an embodiment according to the invention it is provided that the stack supports are formed as an integral part of opposite side walls, whereby they do not protrude beyond the outer contours of the respective side wall.
The through openings of the stack supports are expediently arranged directly adjacent in the bottom of the stacking box in order to make it possible to pack the boxes in a comparatively tight manner, without the need for an excessively large space requirement for empties transport.
In the case of a rectangular contour of a stacking box that occurs most frequently in practice, the invention provides that the stacking supports are formed in the vicinity of the box corners on the shorter side walls with the passage openings assigned in the floor. In principle, the stack supports could also be provided in the corner area on the longer side walls, but the arrangement on the shorter side walls can lead to greater strength.
Depending on the length of the stacking supports, it may be appropriate to provide at least two through openings for the passage of the stacking supports of two stacking boxes that have already been stacked in the floor, with the result that the stacking supports can take up about twice to three times the length of the usual box wall height, since then, for example If there are three boxes stacked on top of each other, do not protrude the contour of the top edge of the last box.
In order to be able to stack a plurality of boxes on top of one another and at the same time form a comparatively firm stacking arrangement, the invention also provides in a further embodiment that the passage openings are provided with guide cams for bearing supports which pass through on outer surfaces, which results in a comparatively play-free stacking.

In Fig. 1, two stacked boxes, generally designated 1 and 1 ', one on top of the other, partially cut in the left side of the figure, are stacked one above the other, each stacking box consisting of two longitudinal side walls 2 and two
As can be seen in particular from FIG. 3, a multiplicity of boxes, generally designated 1a to 1d, can be stacked on top of one another, a portion of the stacking supports 7 passing through the
Of course, the described embodiment of the invention can be modified in many ways without departing from the basic idea. The invention is particularly so not limited to the illustrated cross-sectional shape of the stack supports 7, these can also be designed with a rectangular cross-section or, for example, round or polygonal with appropriately designed
