Description

The invention relates to an automatic fire detector with a detector detection and a detector insert, which has a printed circuit board with an assembly and a sensor system, and with a detector cap.

As a rule, automatic fire detectors are designed in two parts, with the detector holder permanently installed on the ceiling, into which a removable detector part can be inserted. The detector part itself consists of a printed circuit board with the necessary electronic components and the actual detector system as well as a detector cap that covers the whole. Up to now, for example, a maximum of three, generally uniformly distributed sliding contacts were provided for the electrical connection, to which the wiring was clamped. The detector insert had correspondingly arranged contacts, which also took over the mechanical locking when the detector was turned when it was inserted. In order to ensure a good locking, an even distribution of the contacts on the circumference was necessary. Such detectors (see e.g. DE-U-7823 178 and EP-A-0014 251) required complex contact both in the detection and in the use of the detector. In addition, the wiring was cumbersome, especially when three electrical connections were necessary.

The object of the invention is to create a new electrical connection between the socket and the detector, where it is possible to connect several supply wires as well as shield connections with a simple assembly effort. Furthermore, it should be possible to insert the detector simply and safely by good centering, even under difficult conditions, for example if the detector insert is to be removed or used with a so-called picker.

This object is achieved according to the invention in an automatic fire detector described at the outset with the characterizing features of claim 1.

In the detector, which can consist of a simple molded part, a multi-pole connection block with the necessary sockets is arranged, for example, snap. The detector insert has a contact pin strip with the corresponding contact pins, which are forcibly assigned to the terminal block when the detector is inserted. The detector insert is therefore rotatably arranged in the circumferential detector cap and can be locked in its end position. For this purpose, the detector insert has a peripheral side wall that acts as a centering ring. The detector cap can be mechanically locked on the detector holder, and when the detector, ie sensor system with detector insert and detector cap, is inserted, a locking cam molded onto the detector cap is guided in an oblique sliding guide of a locking link. The locking link is arranged on the detector socket in such a way that a vertical stroke for contacting is achieved when the detector is inserted and screwed in.

With the design of the fire detector according to the invention, a safe and reliable electrical contact and mechanical locking between the actual detector part and the detector detection is guaranteed, with a clear assignment between the contact pins of the detector part and the contact sockets in the detector detection when inserted. The detector cap pulled over the detector insert and the holder simultaneously covers the detector holder, so that, for example, when a detector is replaced, the dirty holder does not stand out clearly from the new, clean detector cap.

The locking device between the detector cap and detector insert can be formed by a spring which is arranged on the detector cap and can be latched on the detector insert in a latching groove provided for this purpose.

In an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the connection block is arranged eccentrically in the detector socket, the detector socket creating a sufficiently large loop space for inexpensive installation of the connection wires. In addition, the interchangeable terminal block can be advantageously used in different connection technology, e.g. be carried out with screw or spring force, or insulation displacement terminals. Internal wiring of the connection terminals enables the connection wires to be clearly laid out in the same order.

In order to be able to interrupt a looped-through wire when inserting the detector, the connection block has at least one switching contact (interrupter contact) which can be actuated by an actuating element, for example actuating pin, the contact pin strip or the detector insert.

As in the past, the division between detector registration and actual detector was maintained. The detector socket 1 consists only of a simple molded part, in which the connection block 2 is locked. The necessary sockets 2a, line connections (a, b, ...)) and the break contact 2b are combined in the connection block 2.
Due to the eccentric arrangement of the terminal block 2 in the molded part of the detector socket 1, the largest possible loop space 3 is created for convenient installation of the connecting wires. Internal wiring of the connection terminals enables a constant sequence of wiring and thus a clear connection of the connection wires, as shown schematically in Fig.4. ML means the signal line, for example two wires a and b, which is shielded (S). The terminal block 2 with the contact sockets 2a and an interrupter contact 2b is arranged in the detector socket 1. In the detector insert M is the contact pin strip 9 with the contact pins 9a and the actuating pin 9b.

The detector insert 4 is rotatable in the continuous, i.e. circumferential, detector cap 5 arranged and locked in the end position via a releasable locking or locking device 6. The sensor system 7, which can be an optical, a heat or a combination detector, is located in the detector insert 4. Furthermore, there is the printed circuit board 8 with the assemblies 8a, which can also be implemented using SMT technology. In this exemplary embodiment, a four-pole contact pin strip 9 with an actuating element 9b for the interrupter contact 2b is provided. An identification display 10, which is connected to the printed circuit board 8, is connected to a light guide 11 in order to guide the light to the outside of the detector cap 5. The detector insert 4 is designed in such a way that a trough 12 results which can be hermetically sealed by, if necessary, being provided with a potting compound.

As can be seen from FIG. 1 and the explanations above, a vertical connection of the contact pin strip 9 into the connection block 2 or into the contact sockets 2a is required. This is made possible by the fact that the position of the locking cams 13 and the pin strip 9 is firmly assigned by the latching (releasable locking device with spring 6a; see FIG. 2) in the removed state, ie the detector insert and detector cap are removed from the detector socket. When the detector (detector insert 4 and detector cap 5) is inserted into the detector holder 1, the leading centering ring 4a is initially centered. In this position, the entire detector can be turned to the left or right until the locking cams 13 dip into the locking link 14. By pushing the detector (4,5) further into the socket (1) the locking device 6 is released so that the detector cap 5 can be turned to the right. The locking cam 13 slides on the rising link surface 14a (link guide) and forces the vertical "plug" stroke (h) for contacting. The detector is removed in the reverse order.
