Definitions
- the present invention relates to a screening device, in particular a fine or Micro sieve device, with a sieve cassette, which consists of a cassette frame and a flexible web of filter material clamped in the frame.
- the web consists of flexible filter material, for example a wire mesh or a mesh of thick plastic threads.
- filter cloths which generally consist of a textile material, are used to filter out finer particles. For the sake of simplicity, only such a filter cloth or filter cloths will be discussed below, without the invention being restricted to the use of filter cloths.
- the present invention is therefore based on the object of providing a screening device in which both the screening cassettes as a whole and the filter cloth or the webs of filter material alone can be replaced very quickly and easily.
- the cassette frame has a groove running parallel to its circumference, the web of filter material being inserted into the groove and being held in the groove by an additionally inserted cord made of a rubber-elastic material.
- cord made of the rubber-elastic material can be inserted into a recess on a frame part opposite the groove, then the filter cloth is placed over this rubber cord and the rubber cord and filter cloth are pressed together into the groove by pressing the frame part having the groove against the opposite part and fixing it to it becomes.
- the groove should run essentially around the entire circumference of the frame so that the filter cloth is held and sealed along the largest possible distance on the cassette frame.
- the groove can also be interrupted at individual points, for example where frame parts abut at an angle or where clamp fasteners pass through the groove.
- the rubber cord then consists of correspondingly cut sections, the length of which corresponds exactly to the uninterrupted groove sections.
- the groove should have a substantially U-shaped cross section, with undercut U cross sections such as e.g. Dovetail cross sections or other undercut cross-sectional shapes of the groove are preferred.
- the groove depth should be dimensioned such that with the filter cloth inserted and a caulked cord, part of the cord cross section still protrudes from the groove, so that the frame part having the groove can be clamped against a sealing surface in such a way that the protruding cord section engages in sealing engagement the sealing surface occurs.
- the cord such materials are preferred that are otherwise also used, for example, as a material for O-ring seals.
- the cross-section of the cord is largely arbitrary, but rounded cross-sections, e.g. a simple circular cross section.
- the cassette frame consists of rectangular welded profile strips with a U-shaped or, more precisely, approximately ⁇ -shaped cross section.
- a frame is expediently supported on its long sides by cross members or cross bars, since the filter cloth is stretched and tends to pull the more or less elastically yielding profile strips inward under deformation.
- An embodiment of the invention is particularly preferred in which the cassette frame is clamped with the open sides of the groove against a sealing surface, these sealing surfaces in turn being expediently provided on profile struts which have a correspondingly larger size Can frame, on which several cassette frames are attached.
- the profile struts preferably have flat sealing surfaces against which the portions of the elastic rubber cord protruding from the groove protrude from the groove can be pressed with the aid of a suitable clamping mechanism.
- clamping brackets are provided for this purpose, which press on the back of the profile strips facing away from the open groove side and thus press them onto the sealing surface.
- the profile struts provided with the sealing surface can be penetrated by screws or can be firmly connected with screws to which screw nuts, preferably wing screws, are applied, which press on the clamping bracket and press a profile strip or simultaneously two profile strips from adjacent cassette frames onto the sealing surface .
- An embodiment of the invention is particularly preferred in which a plurality of cassette frames with clamped filter cloths form the screen surfaces of a drum screen, the profile struts having the sealing surfaces spanning the frame of a drum screen.
- Figure 1 you can see a cassette frame 11 from the back, the cassette frame 11 is welded from four miter-cut profile strips to an elongated rectangular frame Additional cross struts or cross members 4 support the long sides against each other and thus keep their distance constant, even if one clamped filter cloth 2 exerts corresponding tensile forces on the profile strips 1.
- the profile of the strips 1 is essentially ⁇ -shaped, so that a groove 12 is formed, which, however, has an essentially flat groove base.
- the groove profile thus created essentially corresponds to a so-called dovetail profile, although the edges of this profile are more or less are rounded and together with two extending sideways from the groove opening Bottles form the mentioned ⁇ profile, as can be easily recognized from the cross sections through the profile strips 1 in FIGS. 2 and 4.
- the filter cloth 2 is inserted into the groove 12 and then a rubber cord 3 is caulked into the groove 12 laid out with the filter cloth 2, the cross-sectional area of the rubber cord 3 roughly corresponding to the cross-sectional area of the groove 12 or being somewhat larger, so that in any case after the soft rubber cord has been pressed in or caulked, it still protrudes with a partial section above the level of the groove opening, preferably also beyond the level of the filter cloth 2 resting on the groove edge. How the cross section of the rubber cord 3 is to be selected naturally also depends on the filter cloth used 2 since its thickness reduces the groove cross section accordingly.
- the groove In order for the filter cloth with the caulked rubber cord to be held securely in the groove, the groove must in any case have an undercut and the cord must be so thick that it can only be pushed through the narrower entry area of the groove with elastic deformation and in Can expand the area of the undercut again.
- the loosening of the rubber cord 3 and the filter cloth 2 is nevertheless quite simple by simply levering one end of the rubber cord 3 out of the groove 12 and then successively pulling the rubber cord out of the groove 12 from this end, whereby the filter cloth 2 is also released .
- Figure 2 shows a longitudinal section through a frame in which a plurality of cassettes 11 are arranged one behind the other in length.
- the section runs through the two shorter profile strips of the frame 11 and also through the cross members 4, one of which is indicated in cross section in FIG. 2.
- the cross members 4 also serve as support supports for the filter cloth 2.
- Corresponding support rods 9 are also provided for the filter cloth 2 from the opposite side.
- the drum end wall 6 and the sieve frame as a whole have sealing surfaces 5, which are provided either on welded flat material strips 13 or on U-shaped profile struts 14, as can easily be seen in FIG.
- the flat material or the U-shaped profile struts are provided with screw bolts 16, onto which clamping brackets 7 are attached, which have a bore corresponding to the bolts 16 and which are held on the bolt by a wing nut 7.
- These clamps which can also have the form of washers, for example, grasp with their edge the rear sides of the ⁇ -shaped profile strips 1 of the cassette frame 11 and are pressed by the wing nut 8 in the direction of the sealing surface 5, the rubber cords protruding from the groove 12 3 with the sealing surface 5 in sealing engagement.
- FIG. 3 shows in longitudinal and cross section a screening device with a drum screen, the drum circumference of which is spanned by screen cassettes according to the present invention.
- an inlet 20 can be seen on the left in the drum 21, which is open at the end.
- the drum 21 is rotatably mounted in a collecting basin 22 about a hollow shaft 23.
- the drum 21 has sliding seals 24, which prevent liquid entering through the inlet 20 from reaching the outside of the sieve drum 21 directly.
- the liquid to be cleaned is pumped into the inlet 20 and the sieve drum 21 via a pipe, which is sealingly connected to the flange 20a, a certain liquid level being established within the drum.
- the drum has a polygonal cross section, the peripheral surface of the drum being formed by a multiplicity of sieve cassettes, as were described in connection with FIGS. 1 and 2.
- Several such cassettes can be arranged one behind the other in the axial direction of the drum, as shown in the example in FIG.
- the catch basin 22 has an overflow 25 for cleaned liquid, which has passed outward through the filter cloth of the sieve cassettes.
- the filter cloths retain suspended matter in the liquid.
- the liquid level 26 inside the drum must of course be higher and be kept at a higher level than the external liquid level 27, which is defined by the overflow 25.
- a row of flat jet nozzles 28 is arranged above the sieve drum, which, with cleaned liquid, direct a relatively fine but powerful liquid jet, which is approximately linear in cross section, onto the top of the drum, ie from the outside onto the filter cloth 2 passing by, from the outside.
- the suspended matter retained by the filter cloth from the liquid is thereby rinsed off the inner surface of the filter cloth 2 and thus enters a collecting funnel 29, the outlet of which is connected to the inside of the hollow shaft 23.
- the impurities are continuously removed from the liquid and thus enter a drain 30 in a concentrated form, from where they can be sent for further processing or disposal. It is understood that the amount of the cleaned liquid, which is discharged through the flat jet nozzles 28, is substantially less than that Amount that is pumped through the drum screen through the inlet 20, because otherwise the desired concentration and cleaning effect would not occur.
- FIG. 4 shows a section of a cross section of the drum sieve described above in a region where two adjacent sieve cassettes 11 are connected to one another in a corner region of the polygonal line formed by the drum cross section.
- the frame 13 of the drum screen has longitudinal struts 10 which have a substantially U-shaped cross section, but the base of this U cross section is angled approximately in the middle in accordance with the polygon angle of the drum.
- two parallel and mutually angled sealing surfaces 5 are formed on the back of the base of the U cross section, onto which the profile strips 1 of the sieve cassettes 11 with the inserted rubber cords 3 can be pressed.
- the profile struts 14 run parallel to the axial direction of the drum 21 and, because of their essentially U-shaped profile cross section, have a relatively high intrinsic stiffness against bending. This inherent rigidity is also necessary because supports in the central area of the drum cannot be attached due to the stationary collecting funnel 29.
- the screen frame is formed overall by the drum end walls (designated 6 in FIG. 2 for any other frame shapes), the flat material strips or strips 13, longitudinal struts 10 and the profile struts 14.
- supports are also possible in the circumferential direction by spars of the drum frame, such as on the end walls 6 of the drum, which likewise prevents the profile struts 14 and the longitudinal struts 10 from bending.
- the rubber cord has an essentially circular cross-section before it is caulked into the groove 12, but is elastically deformed by being pressed into the groove, with part of its cross-section still extending beyond the plane of the groove opening and also over the filter cloth resting on the groove edge 2 beyond.
- a plurality of screw bolts 16 are arranged at a distance from one another, onto which a double-angled clamping bracket 7 is attached.
- the clamp bracket is preferably elongated in plan view so that after a rotation of 90 ° with its entire width lies between the adjacent profile strips 1 of the cassette frame 11, so that these cassette frames 11 can be easily removed from the drum without this Wing nut 8 must be completely loosened from the bolt 16.
- the angling of the end sections of the clamping bracket 7 with respect to the middle part corresponds in each case to half the polygon angle of the screening drum.
- the drum can be put back into operation immediately.
- a number of prepared cassettes are expediently kept in stock and a defective cassette or the defective filter cloth of a cassette is repaired immediately after being removed from the sieve drum or replaced by a new filter cloth, whereupon the cassette is available for a later renewed exchange.
- the structure of the sieve device according to the invention is relatively simple and easy to manufacture and, due to the simple exchange possibility and the modular structure of correspondingly larger sieve devices, such as sieve drums, it proves to be very flexible and inexpensive for the operation of the sieve device, since longer downtimes due to a necessary exchange filter cloths can be avoided.

Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a screening device, in particular a fine or Micro sieve device, with a sieve cassette, which consists of a cassette frame and a flexible web of filter material clamped in the frame.
Such screening devices are known per se. For large mesh sizes and for sieving out coarse particles, the web consists of flexible filter material, for example a wire mesh or a mesh of thick plastic threads. So-called filter cloths, which generally consist of a textile material, are used to filter out finer particles. For the sake of simplicity, only such a filter cloth or filter cloths will be discussed below, without the invention being restricted to the use of filter cloths.
With many sieve or filter devices, there is often the need to replace the sieve cassette or several sieve cassettes, or simply to replace the filter cloth, which may be damaged or blocked.
In conventional screening devices, changing the filter cloth is relatively complex since it must be clamped tightly in the frame so that unfiltered material does not flow past the filter cloth.
The present invention is therefore based on the object of providing a screening device in which both the screening cassettes as a whole and the filter cloth or the webs of filter material alone can be replaced very quickly and easily.
This object is achieved in that the cassette frame has a groove running parallel to its circumference, the web of filter material being inserted into the groove and being held in the groove by an additionally inserted cord made of a rubber-elastic material. There are various means of holding the cord made of the rubber-elastic material in the groove. For example, the cord can be inserted into a recess on a frame part opposite the groove, then the filter cloth is placed over this rubber cord and the rubber cord and filter cloth are pressed together into the groove by pressing the frame part having the groove against the opposite part and fixing it to it becomes.
The groove should run essentially around the entire circumference of the frame so that the filter cloth is held and sealed along the largest possible distance on the cassette frame. However, the groove can also be interrupted at individual points, for example where frame parts abut at an angle or where clamp fasteners pass through the groove. The rubber cord then consists of correspondingly cut sections, the length of which corresponds exactly to the uninterrupted groove sections.
Advantageously, in such a device only the clamp fastening needs to be released and the filter cloth can be removed. However, embodiments of the invention are preferred in which the filter cloth is already held in the groove by the rubber cord without additional clamping means. For this purpose, the groove should have a substantially U-shaped cross section, with undercut U cross sections such as e.g. Dovetail cross sections or other undercut cross-sectional shapes of the groove are preferred.
At the same time, however, the groove depth should be dimensioned such that with the filter cloth inserted and a caulked cord, part of the cord cross section still protrudes from the groove, so that the frame part having the groove can be clamped against a sealing surface in such a way that the protruding cord section engages in sealing engagement the sealing surface occurs. For the cord, such materials are preferred that are otherwise also used, for example, as a material for O-ring seals. The cross-section of the cord is largely arbitrary, but rounded cross-sections, e.g. a simple circular cross section. The cross-section of the groove and the cross-section of the cord are of course coordinated with one another in such a way that the cord is elastically deformed together with the filter cloth when it is caulked into the groove and is clamped in the groove. This is supported above all by the undercut of the groove. In the preferred embodiment of the invention, the cassette frame consists of rectangular welded profile strips with a U-shaped or, more precisely, approximately Ω-shaped cross section. Such a frame is expediently supported on its long sides by cross members or cross bars, since the filter cloth is stretched and tends to pull the more or less elastically yielding profile strips inward under deformation. With a sufficiently rigid frame profile or with correspondingly short frame edges, however, such a transverse support can be dispensed with.
An embodiment of the invention is particularly preferred in which the cassette frame is clamped with the open sides of the groove against a sealing surface, these sealing surfaces in turn being expediently provided on profile struts which have a correspondingly larger size Can frame, on which several cassette frames are attached. The profile struts preferably have flat sealing surfaces against which the portions of the elastic rubber cord protruding from the groove protrude from the groove can be pressed with the aid of a suitable clamping mechanism.
In the preferred embodiment of the invention, clamping brackets are provided for this purpose, which press on the back of the profile strips facing away from the open groove side and thus press them onto the sealing surface. For this purpose, for example, the profile struts provided with the sealing surface can be penetrated by screws or can be firmly connected with screws to which screw nuts, preferably wing screws, are applied, which press on the clamping bracket and press a profile strip or simultaneously two profile strips from adjacent cassette frames onto the sealing surface . An embodiment of the invention is particularly preferred in which a plurality of cassette frames with clamped filter cloths form the screen surfaces of a drum screen, the profile struts having the sealing surfaces spanning the frame of a drum screen.

In Figure 1 you can see a
The
The loosening of the
Figure 2 shows a longitudinal section through a frame in which a plurality of
The drum end wall 6 and the sieve frame as a whole have sealing
It is understood that a larger number of corresponding screws and clamps is provided along the circumference of the
Longitudinal section In the left part of FIG. 3, an
A row of
Leisten 13, Längsstreben 10 und die Profilstreben 14.FIG. 4 shows a section of a cross section of the drum sieve described above in a region where two
However, supports are also possible in the circumferential direction by spars of the drum frame, such as on the end walls 6 of the drum, which likewise prevents the profile struts 14 and the
The structure of the sieve device according to the invention is relatively simple and easy to manufacture and, due to the simple exchange possibility and the modular structure of correspondingly larger sieve devices, such as sieve drums, it proves to be very flexible and inexpensive for the operation of the sieve device, since longer downtimes due to a necessary exchange filter cloths can be avoided.
