Abstract

699,061. Friction-grip fastenings. MIAG VERTRIEBSGES. Dec. 7, 1951 [Dec. 9, 1950; June 15, 1951], No. 28685/51. Class 44 [Also in Group II] To secure a gauze 1 to a sieve frame 3 it is wrapped about a rubber cord 2 which is inserted in a groove 4 in the frame, the groove being partcircular in cross section at the base and slightly constricted at the opening and the combined diameter of the cord and gauze being greater than the internal diameter of the groove. The groove may be in other surfaces of the frame. In a modification, the cord may be replaced by a rigid member, the groove being lined with resilient material and formed in a metal channel forming the sieve frame, Fig. 3 (not shown). In another embodiment the sieve frame is loosely located in an outer fixed frame, the gauze being carried across the gap therebetween to a second anchorage in the fixed frame, Fig. 4 (not shown).
