Abstract

The cladding or fire protection and/or acoustic panel (1) has as sound-insulating insert a material layer (5) containing an expanded mica or perlite. Apart from good acoustic properties, a panel structured in this manner also has outstanding fire protection properties. <IMAGE>

Description

The present invention relates to a cladding panel, in particular a fire protection and / or acoustic panel, with a shell-shaped outer cladding made of metal, the visible or main surface of which is provided with a large number of holes, and with an insert of insulating material arranged behind the main surface .

Acoustic panels of the aforementioned type are generally quadrangular, have a shell-shaped outer cladding made of metal (sheet metal), with an insulating material, e.g. is arranged in the form of a glass fiber mat.

Glass fiber mats have proven themselves as sound-absorbing materials. However, the use and handling of materials that could be harmful to health (glass wool, glass fiber mats) are facing increasing resistance.

The object of the present invention was therefore to search for a material which can be used as an insert in acoustic panels instead of the glass fiber mats previously used.

This object was achieved according to the invention in the case of a cladding panel, in particular a fire protection and / or acoustic panel of the type mentioned at the outset, in that the insert consists of a layer of material containing expanded mica or pearlite.

Vorzugsweise sind dabei als Glimmer Vermiculite eingesetzt.Vermiculites are preferably used as mica.

Expanded mica or perlite can be formed into plates (e.g. pressed) or embedded in a silicate binder, in cement, mortar or plaster and can also be designed as plates. It is also conceivable to incorporate the soundproofing material directly into the shell-shaped cladding, e.g. pour in.

It has been shown that the mica or pearlite-containing material layer guarantees a good acoustic insulation effect comparable to that of the glass fiber insert, but in comparison with that it also has considerably improved fire protection properties while also being relatively light; in addition, there is no need for an additional vapor barrier (simple structure).

This creates a cladding or fire protection and / or acoustic panel which, with sufficient acoustic properties, has excellent fire protection properties, which can be crucial for both ceiling and wall cladding.

The invention is explained in more detail below with reference to the drawing. Show it:
  • Fig. 1 shows a cross section, purely schematically, through an acoustic panel according to the prior art, and
  • 2 shows a corresponding cross section through an acoustic panel constructed according to the invention.
  • 1 of the drawing shows, purely schematically, a cross section through an acoustic panel according to the prior art: the panel has a shell-shaped cladding 1 made of metal (for example sheet iron), the visible or main surface 2 of which has a plurality of holes 3 ( for sound recording) is provided. An insert in the form of a glass fiber mat 4 as an insulating material is arranged behind the main surface 2.
  • Fig. 2 of the drawing shows a corresponding section through a fire protection and / or acoustic panel according to the invention, which essentially differs from the known panel in that an expanded material layer 5 containing expanded mica or pearlite is provided as an insert made of insulating material.

This material, pressed into a plate-like structure or preferably embedded in a silicate binder, cement or the like, has very good acoustic and fire-protective properties.

Das Raumgewicht der Einlage liegt vorzugsweise bei 100-125 kg/m3.The density of the insert is preferably 100-125 kg / m 3 .

The cladding panel can be made by inserting a separately made insert made of mica or pearlite and possibly other components.

A particularly simple method of manufacture is e.g. in that the insert by incorporating the insulation material directly into the shell-shaped cladding, e.g. by pouring the material.
