Wenn unterhalb des Waschtuchabschnittes 32, welcher die Bahn 6 kontaktiert, keine Maschinenteile angeordnet sind oder aus einem anderen Grund keine Gefahr besteht, daß vom Waschtuchabschnitt 32 abfallende Schmutzpartikel eine Verschmutzung von Maschinenteilen zur Folge haben können, dann kann die Bahn 6 entsprechend einem Pfeil 70 auch nach oben statt nach unten bewegt werden. Zur Kontaktierung und Dekontaktierung können bei der in Fig. 3 dargestellten Ausführungsform wieder die zweiten Positioniermittel 66 von Fig. 2 vorgesehen sein. Bei der Ausführungsform von Fig. 3 läuft der mit der Druckbahn 6 zu kontaktierende Waschtuchabschnitt 32 über ein perforiertes Leitblech 72 mit einer Vielzahl von Bohrungen 74, durch welche das von Düsen 46 versprühte Wasser 76 entgegen der Waschtuchbewegungsrichtung 30 auf einen langen Befeuchtungs-Waschtuchabschnitt 78 verteilt wird. Das Waschtuch 20 hat eine sehr große endliche Länge und läuft von einer Saubertuchrolle 24 auf eine Schmutztuchrolle 28. Das Leitblech 72 kann jedoch auch in Verbindung mit einem endlosen Waschtuch 20/2 von Fig. 2 verwendet werden. mindestens auf einer Seite der Druckbahn (6) ist mindestens ein Waschtuch (20; 20/2) angeordnet, welches mindestens innerhalb eines Waschtuchabschnittes (32) feucht ist, der mit der Druckbahn (6) in Kontakt gebracht werden kann;
Positioniermittel (34; 58, 52, 54; 66, 10) zum Kontaktieren des feuchten Waschtuchabschnittes (32) mit der Druckbahn (6); eine Transportvorrichtung (24, 28, 26) zum Transport des Waschtuches (20; 20/2), um nacheinander andere feuchte Waschtuchabschnitte (32) des Waschtuches (20; 20/2) mit der Druckbahn (6) in Kontakt zu bringen; zum Reinigen der Druckbahn (6) gleitet die Druckbahn (6) auf dem sie kontaktierenden Waschtuchabschnitt (32).
