Abstract

Proceeding from the inadequacies which occur during the alignment of the heald frame (21) in looms with individual frame guidance in the course of a frame change, there has been provided a device which is bound or not bound to the loom and which consists of a carrier element (14) having prepositioning elements (12) which are arranged over its length in a manner co-ordinated with the division of the heald-frame guides and which can be brought into engagement with each heald frame, at least one of the frame guides (1, 2) being connected to means which cause them to advance to the prepositioned heald frames. <IMAGE>

Description

Weaving machines are known with shaft guides present on the side walls, which are arranged such that they can be adjusted forwards and backwards into the interior of the machine, and in which the individual up to 28 heald frames are accommodated in individual shaft guides and are guided in them in the vertical direction.
These shaft guides are comb-like and can be moved back and forth on axes in the horizontal plane. It is desirable for the operator of a weaving machine to be able to carry out a quick shaft change, especially when changing articles. The reinsertion of the heald frames into the individual shaft guides always proves to be particularly labor intensive. When the shafts are reinserted, each individual shaft must be aligned with the respective guide web of the shaft guide and the shaft guide must be positioned on the shafts.
Alignment and delivery are carried out in a manual and time-consuming manner.
For example, when the shaft guides are adjusted by hand, it is not readily possible to achieve the tolerance that must necessarily be maintained between the shaft guide and the shaft with a single infeed process (pushing the shaft guide in). Here, manipulation in the manner of repeated reciprocation on the axes of the comb-like shaft guides is required in order to bring all the shafts into the shaft guides.
The object of the invention is therefore to provide a pre-positioning and delivery device which enables the individual heald frames to be pre-positioned in a simple manner with respect to the respective shaft guide, and after the pre-positioning the shaft guides can be reproducibly brought into engagement with the individual shafts.

According to the invention, the object is achieved according to the main claim by a machine-bound or machine-unbound device, consisting of a carrier element which has pre-positioning elements arranged along its length to match the pitch "t" of the heald frame guides, which can be brought into engagement with each heald frame and wherein at least one of the Heald frame guides are connected with means that deliver them to the pre-positioned heald frames. Further features of the invention result from the subclaims.

This ensures that when changing heald frames with individual shaft guides, in particular during their assembly, a quick and safe alignment of the individual heald frames to the respective heald frame guide is made possible. This eliminates the need for a "two-man installation". After the heald frames have been pre-positioned, the shaft guides can be fed onto the heald frames by means of the delivery device according to the invention. This can be done both manually and mechanically in a reproducible manner. An empirical and time-consuming delivery of the shaft guides, as is known from the prior art, can thus be avoided.

2 shows an upper shaft guide 1 and a lower shaft guide 2. Both shaft guides are gem.
Fig. 1 of the struts 3 of a first and a second holder 4,5 is added. The solid part of the first and second holder 4, 5 has a through bore 6 (FIG. 3) which is designed as a sliding guide. An axis 7 is accommodated in these sliding guides. Both axes 7 run parallel and are connected vertically offset to one another on the side walls of the weaving machine, not shown, with one free end. At the other free end, the axes are provided with a toothing 8, as shown in FIGS. 2 and 3. Above the through bore 6 of each holder 4, 5, a section of an adjusting shaft 9 equipped with teeth 10 extends transversely through the solid area of the holder 4, 5. The toothing 10 is in engagement with the toothing 8 of the axes 7. At one end, the adjusting shaft 9 is provided with an internal hexagon for engaging a drive which sets the shaft 9 in rotary motion. While the adjusting shaft 9 is set in rotary motion, a shifting movement of the shaft guides 1, 2 takes place from the one end position continuously in the direction of the individual heald frames pre-positioned by means of the device to be shown below, via the interlocking toothings 8, 10.
In Fig. 1 is on the upper support strut 3, substantially opposite the rear receiving surface of the upper shaft guide 1 and this projecting vertically, the machine-bound or machine-independent prepositioning device 12 is arranged.
The pre-positioning device 12 consists of a carrier element 14 connected to the upper holder strut 3 by means of the screws 13, between the side plates 15 of which a plurality of positioning elements, for example pivotably arranged about an axis 18, are provided. The positioning elements can be pivoted individually or in groups from the position shown in broken lines in FIG. 2 to the position not shown in broken lines. These positioning elements consist of a two-armed pivot lever 16, at one end of which a positioning roller 17 is attached. The pivot levers 16 themselves are pivotally mounted about the axis 18.
A group-wise pivoting is given when the lever arm of the pivot lever 16 carrying the positioning roller 17 is designed, for example, in the manner of a multi-pronged fork and each prong carries, for example, a positioning roller 17. This would reduce the number of individual levers without having to accept adverse consequences in prepositioning.

The ends of the axis 18 connect the two side plates 15 of the carrier element 14. Each of the positioning elements consists of a double lever 16 which is arranged pivotably about the axis 18. One of the lever arms is of elongated design and carries a positioning roller 17 at the free end a stop surface 19, which - as shown in FIG. 2 - comes into contact with the stop plate 20, which is fastened between the holder strut 3 and the carrier element 14.

The positioning elements shown in the individual figures can also be designed, for example, as pins which penetrate the carrier element 14 transversely to its longitudinal axis and which are arranged so as to be displaceable individually or in groups. It is therefore at the discretion of the person skilled in the art to design the positioning elements accordingly.
It is important that the prepositioning elements in the carrier element 14 are arranged at a distance from one another, that their center distance "a" corresponds to the pitch "t" as it exists between the individual guide webs 24 of the shaft guide 1, 2 and that the width dimension of the positioning rollers 17 is less than the width dimension of the shaft groove 22 in the heald frame 21.

The interaction of the pre-positioning device and the delivery device with a heald frame 21 is shown in FIGS.
The heald frame 21 to be pre-positioned on the upper and lower shaft guide 1, 2 has a shaft groove 22 in its outer vertical shaft struts 23, into which the guide webs 24 of the comb-like shaft guides 1, 2 engage for the purpose of its guidance (FIG. 3). As already mentioned above and generally known, the individual guide webs 24 of the shaft guides 1, 2 are fixed at a division distance "t" from one another (FIG. 4).

In Figures 4 to 6, the pre-positioning and the delivery of the pre-positioning device 12 together with the shaft guides 1, 2 are shown again in detail. In Fig. 4, the guide webs 24 of the upper and lower shaft guides 1, 2 and the shaft groove 22 of the individual heald frames 21 are arranged opposite one another and are not in mutual engagement, i.e. The shaft guide 1, 2 and pre-positioning device 12 are in the rear end position on the axis 7. Likewise, the individual positioning rollers 17 are in the pivoted-out position.

5, the shaft guides 1, 2 and the pre-positioning device 12 are still in the rear end position on the axis 7, but the positioning elements, ie the pivot levers 16 and the positioning rollers 17, are pivoted into the shaft groove 22 of the respective heald frame 21.
The respective heald frame 21 is thus pre-positioned on the guide webs 24 of the shaft guides 1, 2.
6 shows the dimension "z" of the infeed in comparison to FIG. 5 the shaft guides 1, 2 with the pre-positioning device 12 in the direction of the pre-positioned heald frames 21.
In this illustration, the individual heald frames 21 are received in the shaft guides 1, 2 and are defined with regard to their further function. The prepositioning device can now be removed from its receptacles on the weaving machine and used as a so-called machine-independent device for prepositioning on other weaving machines with individual shaft guidance.
