Claims (21)

  1. Zerstäubungsdüse für die Erzeugung eines Tröpfchenstrahls aus einer Flüssigkeit (7,22), welche die Zerstäubungsdüse unter Druck durchquert, wobei die Zerstäubungsdüse Mittel (2, 24) aufweist, welche eine Öffnung (3, 25) bilden; einen Verschluß (1, 20) für diese Öffnung (3, 25), wobei die die Öffnung definierenden Mittel (2, 24) und der Verschluß (1, 20) zwischen einer ersten Position, in welcher der Verschluß (1, 20) mit der Öffnung (3, 25) zusammenwirkt, um sie zu verschließen, und einer zweiten Position, in welcher der Verschluß (1, 20) von der Öffnung (2, 24) im Abstand gehalten wird, um dazwischen einen Spalt zu bilden, gegeneinander beweglich sind, sowie einen Stopper (5, 27), um die relative Bewegung zwischen den die Öffnung bildenden Mitteln (2, 24) und dem Verschluß (1, 20) zu begrenzen, um sicherzustellen, daß die Weite des Spaltes (10, 32) nicht größer sein kann, als die Weite, welche einen feinen Strahl produzieren würde,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß
    der Wert L/D, in dem L der Abstand ist, den die Flüssigkeit zurücklegen muß, um den Spalt (10, 32) zu durchqueren, und D die Weite dieses Spaltes (10, 32) definiert, nicht größer als 1 ist.
  2. Zerstäubungsdüse nach Anspruch 1,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß
    die Öffnung (3, 25) kreisförmig ausgebildet ist.
  3. Zerstäubungsdüse nach Anspruch 2,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß
    der Verschluß (1, 20) eine mindestens teilweise kugelförmige Oberfläche aufweist, die so angeordnet ist, daß sie mit der Öffnung (3, 25) zusammenwirkt.
  4. Zerstäubungsdüse nach einem der vorausgegangenen Ansprüche,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß
    die die Öffnung bildenden Mittel aus einer flexiblen Membran (24) bestehen.
  5. Zerstäubungsdüse nach Anspruch 4,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß
    die Membran (24) mit mindestens einer die Öffnung (25) umgebenden Riffelung (41) ausgestattet ist, um dadurch die Flexibilität der Membran (24) zu erhöhen.
  6. Zerstäubungsdüse nach einem der Ansprüche 4 oder 5,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß
    der Stopper einen kreisförmigen Ring (27) mit einer Anlagefläche aufweist, welche in der Nähe aber im Abstand von der Membran (24) angeordnet ist.
  7. Zerstäubungsdüse nach einem der vorausgegangenen Ansprüche,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß
    der Verschluß aus einer Kugel (1) besteht.
  8. Zerstäubungsdüse nach einem der vorausgegangenen Ansprüche,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß
    die die Öffnung bildenden Mittel (2, 24) und der Verschluß (1, 20) relativ gegeneinander unter einer Kraft beweglich sind, welche durch den Druck der Flüssigkeit (7, 22) ausgeübt wird.
  9. Zerstäubungsdüse nach einem der vorausgegangenen Ansprüche,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß
    die Öffnung (3, 25) eine abgeschrägte Umfangsfläche (4, 40) aufweist, deren Schräge so ausgerichtet ist, daß sie die Länge des Spaltes (10, 32) begrenzt.
  10. Zerstäubungsdüse nach einem der vorausgegangenen Ansprüche,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß
    die Weite des Spaltes (10, 32) in der Größenordnung von 5 µm liegt.
  11. Zerstäubungsdüse nach einem der vorausgegangenen Ansprüche,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß
    der Wert von L/D nicht größer als 0,5 ist.
  12. Zerstäubungsdüse nach einem der vorausgegangenen Ansprüche,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß
    die die Öffnung bildenden Mittel (2, 24) und der Verschluß (1, 20) in die erste Position vorgespannt sind.
  13. Zerstäubungsdüse nach Anspruch 12,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß
    diese Vorspannung eine elastische Vorspannung ist.
  14. Zerstäubungsdüse nach Anspruch 13,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß
    die elastische Vorspannung mittels des die Öffnung bildenden Mittels (24) hergestellt wird, welches elastisch beweglich ist.
  15. Zerstäuber, welcher eine Zerstäubungsdüse nach einem der vorausgegangenen Ansprüche, eine Flüssigkeitsquelle (61) und ein Mittel für die Zufuhr unter Druck aus dieser Flüssigkeitsquelle (61) zu der Zerstäubungsdüse aufweist.
  16. Zerstäuber nach Anspruch 15,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß
    ein Meßgerät vorgesehen ist, um sicherzustellen, daß die Flüssigkeit (61) die Zerstäubungsdüse in abgemessenen Mengen durchquert.
  17. Zerstäuber nach einem der Ansprüche 15 oder 16,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß
    die Flüssigkeit (61) ein für die Inhalation geeignetes Medikament enthält.
  18. Zerstäuber nach Anspruch 17,
    dadurch gekenzeichnet, daß
    die Flüssigkeit (61) dieses Medikament in Suspension enthält.
  19. Zerstäuber nach Anspruch 17,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß
    die Flüssigkeit (61) das Medikament in Lösung enthält.
  20. Zerstäuber nach einem der Ansprüche 17, 18 oder 19,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß
    die Flüssigkeit (61) eine physiologisch akzeptable wäßrige Flüssigkeit ist.
  21. Zerstäuber nach einem der Ansprüche 17, 18, 19,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß
    die Flüssigkeit (61) eine physiologisch akzeptable nicht wäßrige Flüssigkeit ist.
