Der Punkturzylinder 32 trägt vier Punktursysteme 34 mit jeweils einem Abstand von einem Drittel der Formatlänge zueinander. Ihnen sind Schneidnuten 35 zugeordnet. Der Punktur- und Falzmesserzylinder 33 hat den doppelten Umfang des Messerzylinders 26 und ist mit je zwei Punktursystemen 36 und Falzmessern 37 besetzt, wobei letztere zum jeweils in Drehrichtung benachbarten Punktursystem 36 einen Umfangsabstand von einem Drittel der Formatlänge haben. Dem Punktur- und Falzmesserzylinder 33 schließt sich ein Falzklappenzylinder 38 an, der einen Umfang von zwei Formatlängen aufweist und zwei Falzklappen 39 trägt.Fig. 3 shows a cross folding device with a knife cylinder 26 with a circumference in the size of the format length. Die Bogen werden auf die Punktursysteme 30 genadelt und bei der weiteren Drehung des Punktur- und Messerzylinders 28 in der Zentralen mit dem Punkturzylinder 32 mittels der Schneidmesser 29 und der Schneidnuten 35 in Abschnitte A und B mit Längen von einem Drittel und zwei Dritteln der Formatlänge geschnitten. Während die Abschnitte A mittels der Punktursysteme 34 vom Punkturzylinder 32 übernommen werden, verbleiben die Abschnitte B auf dem Punktur- und Messerzylinder 28. Der Punkturzylinder 32 gibt bei seiner nächsten Umdrehung die Abschnitte A wieder an den Punktur- und Messerzylinder 28 ab, wobei diese von den Punktursystemen 30 übernommen werden und auf den Abschnitten B zu liegen kommen. In der Zentralen des Punktur- und Messerzylinders 28 und des Punktur- und Falzmesserzylinders 33 werden die Abschnitte A und B von den Punktursystemen 36 übernommen. Nach Drehung des Punktur- und Falzmesserzylinders 33 werden in der Zentralen zum Falzklappenzylinder 38 die Abschnitte A und B mittels der Falzmesser 37 in die Falzklappen 39 gedrückt und so mit einem ersten Querfalz versehen. Es entsteht somit das in Fig. 2 gezeigte Produkt 20. Der Vorfalz 21 kann durch Verstellen der Schneidmesser 29 und der Punktursysteme 30 bzw. der Falzmesser 37 und der Punktursysteme 36 zueinander eingestellt werden. Device for cross-folding webs in a web-fed rotary printing machine to a third of the format length, the device having a cutting cylinder (1, 26), a pin-and-folding-blade cylinder (10, 33) and a folding-jaw cylinder (14, 38), characterised in that the cutting cylinder (1) carries at least one pair of cutting blades (2; 3) with a circumferential spacing of the latter with respect to each other of one third of the format length, between this cylinder and the pin-and-folding-blade cylinder (10) there is arranged a pin cylinder (4) with pairs of pin systems (5; 6), whose pin systems (5; 6) also have a circumferential spacing with respect to each other of one third of the format length, a further pin cylinder (9) is associated with the pin cylinder (4) in the direction of rotation of the cutting cylinder (1), this pin cylinder being equipped with pin systems (11) having a circumferential spacing with respect to each other of one third of the format length and its circumference not being a whole-number multiple of the format length, and the folding-jaw cylinder (14) is connected on the outlet side to the pin-and-folding-blade cylinder (10).
  2. Device according to claim 1, characterised in that the cutting blades (2; 3) of each pair of cutting blades of the cutting cylinder (1) can be adjusted in their spacing with respect to each other.
  3. Device according to claim 1, characterised in that the pin systems (5; 6) of each pair of pin systems of the pin cylinder (4) can be adjusted in their spacing.
  4. Device for cross-folding webs in a web-fed rotary printing machine to a third of the format length, the device having a cutting cylinder (1, 26), a pin-and-folding-blade cylinder (10, 33) and a folding-jaw cylinder (14, 38), characterised in that between the cutting cylinder (26) and the pin-and-folding-blade cylinder (33) there is arranged a pin-and-cutting cylinder (28) which is equipped with several cutting blades (29) and pin systems (30), the latter having a circumferential spacing of one third the format length from the cutting blade (29) respectively adjacent in the direction of rotation, in that arranged on the pin-and-cutting cylinder (28) after the cutting cylinder (26) in the direction of rotation is a pin cylinder (32) which is equipped with pin systems (34) having a circumferential spacing with respect to each other of one third of the format length and whose circumference is not a whole-number multiple of the format length, and the folding-jaw cylinder (38) is arranged downstream of the pin-and-folding-blade cylinder (28).
  5. Device according to claim 4, characterised in that the pin systems (30) and the cutting blade (29) of the pin-and-cutting cylinder (28) respectively adjacent in the direction of rotation can be adjusted in their spacing with respect to each other.
