- the operation of the securing devices 60 represented by FIGS. 17-18 and 19 is as follows: using the small carriages 49, the device is brought directly to a loaded bogie and at a precise location where the hook 54 can be gripped securely, by turning the steering wheel 57 towards you, the movable arms 53 are caused to open, causing the hook 54 to descend consecutively and the elevation of the small carriages 49. There is then an energetic tightening between the bogie and the upper wings of the slide 48. The small carts 49, with their steel teeth 51 in the upper part, are blocked and the movable arms 53 then acting in flying buttresses prevent any oscillation of the bogie which is then perfectly stowed thus allowing any movement of special or carrier wagons.
- Fig. 5 shows a variant of the ramp 62 in which the latter comprises an end portion 63 that can be folded around a hinge 64 by means of an actuating cylinder 65 mounted on the ramp.
- This arrangement makes it possible, if necessary, to reduce its size in rail traffic, thus allowing it to pass through all sizes or to reduce the access slope.
