Definitions

  • the present invention relates to methods and devices for biological purification, in particular for the degradation of substances such as waste water, fats and oils.
  • the sludge that settles out must be kept in constant motion and aerated with compressed air, since biological clarification can only work with the addition of oxygen. A high energy requirement is therefore symptomatic for such sewage treatment plants.
  • the present invention is therefore based on the object of providing a biological cleaning process with which the disadvantages mentioned can be avoided. According to the invention, this is achieved in that substances such as waste water, fats and oils, separately or together, are homogenized, if necessary with the addition of water, to give particles of a size of 1 / um or smaller and the homogenate obtained is passed through one or more filter materials and, if appropriate the above substances are added again.
  • homogenizer for example that of German patent application P 40 41 005.6 as well as that of German patent application "Homogenizer and its use” from December 23, 91 can be used.
  • the biocatalyst Bioclean (available from Shieer Biotechnology GmbH) can be added to the process according to the invention, the volume ratio of the biocatalyst to waste water 1: 250 to 1: 8000, to fats 1: 300 to 1: 1000 and to oil 1 : 200 to 1: 1000.
  • the volume ratio of the biocatalyst to house wastewater is 1: 1000 to 1: 8000, to fat-containing wastewater 1: 400 to 1: 1000 and to oil-containing wastewater 1: 250 to 1: 600.
  • Wastewater of all kinds such as gray water (wash water, rinse water and bath water), fecal water, oil and fat-containing wastewater and industrial wastewater are to be mentioned.
  • Substances such as sewage sludge, fats and oils can also be cleaned and broken down in isolated form.
  • the method according to the invention is therefore suitable for use in the event of oil pollution of water and soil.
  • Any materials suitable for stopping particles in homogenates (solutions) can be used individually or in combination as filter materials.
  • Gravel, in particular noble basalt granulate is preferably used.
  • the homogenates can be added to these materials in any form.
  • the homogenates are advantageously in finely divided form, application by spraying being particularly preferred.
  • the process according to the invention is furthermore distinguished with regard to conventional, biologically operating sewage treatment plants in that

  • the device according to the invention preferably also has a reaction container (S) which is suitable for collecting the substances to be homogenized and which is connected to the homogenizer (H).
  • Metering devices (D) and measuring devices (M) are generally known and are used in a wide range of industries.
  • the device according to the invention can contain as filter substances any materials suitable for holding particles in homogenates (solutions), wherein if several reaction vessels (F) are used, these can contain the same or different materials.
