- the tubular wall 2 is frequently constituted by a rolled and assembled sheet, in particular welded, edge to edge by forming a bead projecting inwards.
- the partitions can then enter the tubular wall only if the internal diameter of the latter is at least equal to that of the partitions increased by the thickness of the bead, so that an appreciable gap exists between the peripheral edge of the partitions and the internal surface of the tubular wall, over most of the perimeter. It is therefore advantageous that the deformation of the latter is sufficient to eliminate this interval, facilitating the subsequent tight brazing of the edge of the partitions.
- the seal between the outer surface of the tubes 4 and the openings 3 on the one hand, between the edge of the partitions 8 and 9 and the inner surface of the tubular wall 2 on the other hand, is obtained by brazing by means of a fusible metal coating which is melted by heating the assembled heat exchanger.
- This coating is preferably provided on the outer surface of the tubular wall 2 for its connection with the tubes, and on the partitions for their connection with the tubular wall. This prevents the presence of such a coating on the internal surface of the tubular wall, which could cause partial closure of the ends of the tubes.
