Infolgedessen können bei weiteren Auftreffvorgängen, insbesondere auf die zweite und gegebenenfalls auf weitere Aufgabeplatten, die unterschiedlichen Teile je nach ihrer Konsistenz unterschiedlich zurückprallen und an unterschiedlich weit von der Aufgabeplatte 5 entfernten Stellen auf die Trommel 2 gelangen, die härteren weiter als die weicheren. Springen trotzdem noch weichere Teile zu weit, so werden sie von der Sperrplatte 18 oder von dem Kasten 21 aufgefangen und von diesen an der Stelle 17 auf die Trommel 2 geleitet, von wo sie noch nach oben über die Trommel mitgenommen werden. Claims (10)

  1. Apparatus for separating bulk materials of differing hardness values, in particular refuse materials, comprising a horizontally rotating drum, arranged above which is a feed plate, from which the loosened bulk material falls at a distance from the vertical plane through the drum axis onto the ascending side of the drum in such a way that the soft bulk material component parts are carried by the drum over to the descending side of the drum, whereas the hard component parts drop on the ascending side of the drum, whereby an appropriate feed device for the bulk material is provided so that the bulk material strikes the feed plate with a velocity such that the harder component parts are deflected onto the drum at a greater distance from the vertical plane through the drum axis than are the softer component parts, characterised in that, arranged at the point (17) on the drum periphery at which the softer bulk material component parts are only just carried upwards by the drum (2) is a check plate (18) with a soft surface (19), which is located approximately radially to the surface of the drum at a radial distance corresponding to the size of the harder components.
  2. Apparatus according to claim 1, characterised in that the surface of the feed plate (5) is provided with horizontally-arranged ribs (10) with upwardly-pointing serrations.
  3. Apparatus according to claim 1, characterised in that the surface of the feed plate (5) is provided with a coating (11) of coarse quartz sand.
  4. Apparatus according to claim 1, characterised in that the feed plate (5) is arranged at a slope towards the ascending side of the drum (2), and the feed device (15) arranged in such a manner that the bulk material parts reach the feed plate in free fall.
  5. Apparatus according to claims 1 and 4, characterised in that the feed plate (5) is a cascade design (5a, 5b), the bulk material being fed onto the upper step (5a).
  6. Apparatus according to one of the above claims, characterised in that the feed plate (5) can be adjusted in respect of inclination and arrangement vis à vis the drum vertical plane (3).
  7. Apparatus according to claim 1, characterised in that the check plate (18) forms the base of a box (21) which is open towards the feed plate (5), in which box softer bulk material components are caught and act as a soft surface coating (19) of the check plate.
  8. Apparatus according to claims 1 or 7, characterised in that the check plate (18, 21) can be adjusted in a circumferential and radial direction vis à vis the drum (2).
  9. Apparatus according to claim 1, characterised in that a blower (22) is provided to generate an air flow (25), which is directed at the feed plate (5) through a slit (24) between the inner edge of the check plate (18) or the check box (21) and the drum casing (2).
  10. Apparatus according to claim 9, characterised in that deflector plates (26) and/or adjustable regulating flaps (27) are provided to vary the direction or strength of the air flow.
