Description

  • Die Erfindung betrifft eine Vorrichtung zum Abheben von Briefumschlagklappen an Zuführungen von Briefschließmaschinen.
  • Vorrichtung zum Abheben von Briefumschlagklappen, die durch mechanische Verformung ein Abspreizen der Briefklappe bewirken, gehören zum Stand der Technik (DE-26 32 913, DE-29 48 929). Die mechanische Verformung kann bei steifen oder stark gefüllten Umschlägen versagen, so daß der folgende Schließvorgang nicht ausführbar ist. Abhilfe schafft eine Vorrichtung, die impulsförmiges Ausstoßen von Luft gegen einen Briefumschlag dessen Klappe soweit hebt, daß ihr Gummierung nachfolgend von einer Anfeuchteinrichtung benetzt werden kann (DE-33 37 488).
  • Diese Vorrichtung besitzt eine Abtasteinrichtung die den Luftstrom einer Druckeinrichtung in Abhängigkeit der Verarbeitung bereits geschlossener bzw. noch offener Briefe steuert.
  • Nachteilig ist, daß diese Vorrichtung einen Niederhalter erfordert, dessen Andruckkraft ggf. auf die Briefstärke und die Luftstromstärke abzustimmen ist.
  • Der Erfindung lag die Aufgabe zugrunde, eine Vorrichtung zum Abheben von Briefumschlagklappen zu schaffen, die das Verarbeiten sowohl offener als auch geschlossener Briefe, unabhängig von deren Stärke, gestattet, ohne den Einsatz eines Niederhalters.
  • Diese Aufgabe ist dadurch gelöst, daß der Zuführung eine perforierte Saugplatte mit nachgeordneter Trennplatine zugeordnet ist, wobei eine Kante der Saugplatte unter einer Kante der Trennplatine liegt.
  • Anhand einer aus zwei Figuren bestehenden Zeichnung wird die Erfindung nachfolgend näher erläutert. Darin zeigt die

    die Aufsicht auf einen Teil der Vorrichtung zum Abheben von Briefumschlagklappen.
  • Der Briefumschlag 10 läuft nach der Vereinzelung durch die Förderwelle 21 und die Andruckrolle 22 über eine perforierte Saugplatte 30. Der Saugplatte 30 ist eine Trennplatine 40 nachgeordnet. Dabei liegt die der Trennplatine 40 zugewandte Kante der Saugplatte 30 unter der vorderen Kante der Trennplatine 40, gesehen in Transportrichtung eines Briefumschlages. Die Oberfläche der Saugplatte 30 ist konvex gewölbt. Über einen Saugstutzen 31 wird, gesteuert von nicht dargestellten Abtasteinrichtungen, z.B. Lichtschranken, Luft durch die Perforierung abgesaugt. Von einem über die Saugplatte 30 geführten unverschlossenen Brief 10 wird dadurch die Briefumschlagklappe angesaugt und gleitet unter die Trennplatine 40. Die nachgeordnete Anfeuchteinrichtung 50 benetzt die Gummierung und eine nicht gezeigte Andruckvorrichtung schließt den Brief.
  • Gelangt ein bereits verschlossener Brief an die Saugplatte 30, wird dieser aufgrund der geringen Saugleistung sowie seiner Steifigkeit über die Trennplatine 40 geleitet.
  • In weiterer Ausgestaltung der Vorrichtung ist als Abtasteinrichtung die Führungsfläche für den Briefumschlag 10 vor der Förderwelle 21 mit einer Aussparung versehen, die die Briefumschlagklappe gegenüber dem überwiegenden Teil des Briefumschlages 10 nicht unterstützt. Die Briefumschlagklappe ist damit der Schwerkraft ausgesetzt und hängt in der Aussparung, wobei sie beispielsweise einen Lichtstrahl unterbricht. Durch Lagedetektoren wird ermittelt, ob der Brief verschlossen ist und dementsprechend die Saugvorrichtung gesteuert.
  • Anstelle der Abtasteinrichtung des Schließzustandes eines Briefes durch Schwerkrafteinwirkung kann auch die eingangs genannte Vorrichtung des Luftstrom-Ausstoßens oder eine vereinfachte Ansaugvorrichtung verwendet werden.

Claims (6)

  1. Vorrichtung zum Abheben von Briefumschlagklappen an Zuführungen von Briefschließmaschinen mit einer Abtasteinrichtung,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet,
    daß der Zuführung eine perforierte Saugplatte (30) mit nachgeordneter Trennplatine (40) zugeordnet ist, wobei /o die der Trennplatine (40) zugewandten Kante der Saugplatte (30) unter der vorderen Kante der Trennplatine (40) in Brief-Transportrichtung liegt.
  2. Vorrichtung nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Oberseite der Saugplatte (30) konvex gestaltet ist.
  3. Vorrichtung nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Saugplatte (30) von einer vorgeordneten Abtasteinrichtung gesteuert wird.
  4. Vorrichtung nach Anspruch 3, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß als Abtasteinrichtung Lagedetektoren verwendet werden, die eine hängende Briefumschlagklappe ermitteln.
  5. Vorrichtung nach Anspruch 3, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß als Abtasteinrichtung ein Luftstrom gegen den Briefumschlag (10) geleitet wird.
  6. Vorrichtung nach Anspruch 3, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß als Abtasteinrichtung eine vereinfachte Ansaugvorrichtung dient.
