Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a rotary electric anti-theft switch for motor vehicles which can be operated using the ignition key at the option of the user, according to the preamble of claim 1 and as described in document US-A-2 520 363. It usually includes a flat-shaped box as also visible in documents FR-A-2 019 972, FR-A-2 373 138 and DE-U-72 18 524.
  • the object of the present invention is to create, in a simple and economical manner, a new standard anti-theft switch which can be equipped at will with one or more additional pieces of equipment.
  • the invention it is possible, without increasing the overall size and with a minimum of parts, to create a robust standard housing and to mount at will an easy manner, for example a secondary switch thanks to the clearance provided by the contacts. fixed and by the extra thicknesses, advantageously before assembly of the housing with the body.
  • At least one of the extra thicknesses is of reduced height for mounting an additional fixed contact on which is fixed a blade belonging to a secondary switch for the presence of the ignition key.
  • the bottom of the housing can be provided with a protruding shouldered tongue for retaining a pusher belonging to said secondary switch as well as protruding guide means, such as slides or pins, for guiding said pusher, and this thanks to the aforementioned clearance .
  • the overhanging configuration of at least some of the fixed contacts makes it possible to have a good contact area with the movable contacts and also increases the life of the switch.
  • the fixed contacts form with the movable contacts a device with rubbing contacts, so that during the lifetime of the switch, metallic particles become detached.
  • these particles fall into the bottom of the housing, which makes it possible not to create a line of flight between the various contacts.
  • the rotary electric anti-theft switch of FIGS. 1 to 6 is associated with the anti-theft lock with an ignition key of the motor vehicle. So that we know the anti-theft lock allows the blocking of the steering column of the vehicle, as well as the operation of the anti-theft switch via the ignition key at the option of the user, in particular to do start the vehicle.
  • This anti-theft switch here comprises the following parts: a body 1 of insulating material, a return spring 2, indexing means 3,4,56, a ratchet plunger 6 subjected to the action of a spring 5 , a non-return pawl 7, a rotor 8 made of insulating material, a conductive slider 9 movable axially and subjected to the action of three springs 10, a housing 11 made of insulating material, a pusher 13 made of insulating material subjected to the action of a spring 12, a conductive contact plunger 15 subjected to the action of a spring 14, a conductive blade 17, fixed conductive contacts 16 and 19 to 24, and finally an additional conductive fixed contact 18 for supplying a secondary switch.
