Claims (15)

  1. Display and applicator container for waxy products which are solid at room temperature, comprising a body (1) and a cap (2) having to be closed in a tight manner and containing a gasket formed by a cover (23), said cover (23) bearing on the body (1) which contains a piston (14) for supporting the waxy material, said piston being apertured and having a bottom (4) forming a passage for introducing, in a liquid form, the waxy material through the piston (14) so as to be moulded by said body (1) against the inner wall (1a) thereof and on the cover (23) thereby forming a cake (3), the passage being closed by a member (10) driving the piston (14), whereby the material of the cake (3) is isolated from ambient atmosphere by the cover (23) of the cap (2) and the member driving the piston (14), characterized in that said body has an inner wall that is tapered toward the cover and defines in its bottom (4) a re-entrant edge (5) connected to an inner sheath (7) forming a retainer ring (8), the member (10) driving the piston (14) comprising a knurled knob provided with a sheath (9) complementary to the inner sheath (7), the knurled knob being engaged in the re-entrant edge (5) and the inner sheath (7), and being maintained by the retainer ring (8) in order to provide the guiding thereof in rotation as well as the axial holding thereof and tightness thereof.
  2. Container as set forth in claim 1, characterized in that the body has an oval shape in cross-section, the cap having a same shape.
  3. Container according to one of claims 1 or 2, characterized in that the cover (23) defines an annular housing (22) encasing a lip (20) of the body (1) and is fixed inside the cap (2) by centering and latching means (28, 29 ; 44, 46), said annular housing (22) of the cover (23) being formed from an inner rib (24) defined by the tapered inner wall (23a) of said cover (22).
  4. Device according to one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the knurled knob (10) is hollow, closed by a removable plug (18), and in that the piston (14) is provided with apertures (15) for positioning the constituent material of the cake (3) when brought in a liquid form through the knurled knob (10) and piston (14).
  5. Container according to one of claims 1 to 4, characterized in that the knurled knob (10) is connected by wings (11) to a screw (12) screwed in an inner thread (13) of the piston (14).
  6. Container according to one of claims 1 to 5, characterized in that the cover (23) defines an outer web (25) pressed against the surface of a skiving (19) of the body (1) by the cap (2) in which said cover (23) is encased.
  7. Container according to one of claims 1 to 6, characterized in that the cover (23) is centered in the cap (2) by means of ribs (42) of this cap, and is latched in said cap by sheaths (28) and muffs (29).
  8. Container according to one of claims 1 to 7, characterized in that the piston (14) with apertures (15) is provided, at the periphery thereof, with a scraping edge (16).
  9. Container according to one of claims 1 to 8, characterized in that the cover (23), that provides the tightness with the body (1), has a step portion (26) or grooves (26, 43) for discharge and admission respectively of air between the cake (3) and the bottom of the cover (23).
  10. Container according to one of claims 1 to 9, characterized by members for the fixation of the cap (2) on the body (1).
  11. Container according to claim 10, characterized in that the members for fixation of the cap (2) on the body (1) comprise a yoke (37) with a resiliently deformable bottom (38) and having legs (35, 36) that forms, on the one hand, operating buttons (35a, 36a) and, on the other hand, small bars (41) cooperating with ribs (42) of the body (1).
  12. Container according to claim 11, characterized in that the yoke (37) is laterally provided with pins (48) articulated in notches (45) of protrusions (46) formed within the cap (2), said pins (48) being retained by fingers (44) closing said notches (45) and carried by the cover (23).
  13. Container according to one of claims 1 to 12, characterized in that the cap (2) is held by friction on the body (1).
  14. Container according to one of claims 1 to 13, characterized in that, in order to maintain the cap on the body (1), the cover (23) has an outer web (25) extending over the entire height of a skiving (19) of the body (1), said web having at least one groove (43) for circulation of air and being clamped by friction on the body (1) by the cap (2) in which it is encased.
  15. Container according to one of claims 1 to 14, characterized by slow ageing adhesive means which are interposed between the cap (2) and the body (1).
