Definitions
- the invention relates to an arrangement for drying dishes in household dishwashers according to the preamble of patent claim 1.
- an arrangement for drying dishes in dishwashers having a washing container, a container arranged separately from the washing container, a blower for conveying moist air from the washing container through the one separate from the washing container arranged container is equipped back to the rinsing container, fresh water being introduced into the container arranged separately from the rinsing container.
- moist air is drawn in from the washing container by means of the blower and passed through the container which is designed as a condenser and is arranged separately from the washing container.
- Fresh water is introduced via a cooling water line, which is conducted in turns through the condenser, and emerges from the cooling water line in the flow direction at the end of the condenser in its outlet.
- the moist air is cooled along the cooling water line, so that the moisture contained in the moist air condenses and is returned as condensate to the rinsing tank via the outlet of the condenser with the fresh water flowing out.
- the cooled air also flows through the condenser outlet into the rinsing container and can now absorb moisture through the dishes and be directed to the condenser.
- the fresh water is pumped through a drain hose into the sewer.
- a disadvantage of the arrangement described above is the consumption of a large amount of fresh water solely for condensing the moisture contained in the moist air.
- a dishwasher has become known from DD-A-51 687, in which, in order to avoid the above-described disadvantage, the moist air is passed through cold water filled into a heat-insulated chamber which is arranged separately from the washing container and which is filled in the next time the washing container is filled.
- the moist air rises relatively quickly through the stored fresh water in the form of bubbles and is then led out of the container.
- This has the disadvantage that only the surface of the air bubbles surrounded by fresh water is cooled only for a short time and sufficient cooling of the moist air is therefore not achieved, so that sufficient condensation of the moisture contained in the moist air cannot be achieved.
- the discharged air is therefore still very moist and, as has been shown in practice, can cause swelling on kitchen furniture adjacent to the dishwasher or on a worktop arranged above the dishwasher.
- the inlet opening for the moist air in the washing container is arranged in the region of the highest point of the washing container and the outlet opening for the moist air in the container arranged separately from the washing container in the region of the bottom of this container is arranged.
- the warm moist air is therefore conducted downwards again in a connecting tube between the washing container and the separately arranged container. Since, as is known, moist air is moved upward, the conveyance of the moist air is not ensured in accordance with the exemplary embodiment shown in the prior publication.
- the object of the invention is to provide an arrangement for drying dishes in dishwashers, in which a sufficient cooling of the moist air and a safe conveyance of the moist air is ensured in a simple manner.
- this object is achieved in that moist air is conveyed from the rinsing container by means of a blower into the container and back there into the rinsing container, the moist air in the container being guided in a meandering guide over the surface of the fresh water stored for the next rinsing process.
- the moist air By introducing the moist air onto the surface of the fresh water and guiding it in a meandering manner, the largest possible contact of the moist air with the surface of the fresh water is achieved, and thereby optimal cooling of the introduced moist air is achieved.
- the optimal cooling of the introduced moist air leads to sufficient condensation of the moisture contained in the moist air.
- the use of a blower ensures that the moist air is conveyed safely.
- a closed air circuit is created, so that an adverse effect on kitchen furniture or worktops etc. adjacent to the dishwasher is avoided.
- the container is only partially filled with fresh water. With this measure, another Fresh water savings achieved.
- means are provided for measuring the temperature of the fresh water stored in the container, by means of which control elements for filling a further quantity of fresh water into the container can be controlled upon detection of a definable increase in temperature.
- the inevitable heating of the fresh water by the humid air conducted over it is specifically eliminated with this measure while avoiding any unnecessary consumption of fresh water, so that the result of the cooling of the humid air and the condensation of the moisture contained therein remains the same over the entire drying process.
- the blower is directed in such a way that the moist air is sucked in from a pump pot arranged in the lower region of the washing container and is introduced into the upper region of the washing container again.
- the cooled air introduced into the upper area of the washing compartment sinks down and inevitably heats up on the dishes to be dried, absorbing moisture.
- To prevent the reheated air from remaining in the upper area of the washing compartment it is drawn in from the lower area of the washing compartment, thus ensuring an optimal, closed air circuit.
- the moist air in the container is advantageously directed from above onto the water surface.
- the container is a water inlet container with at least one water inlet and one water outlet and at least one air inlet and one air outlet, in the wall of which a temperature sensor is provided.
- a water inlet container is used to stock and measure the amount of fresh water required for a washing program section, so that the arrangement according to the invention ensures that the fresh water introduced during the drying program section is kept in stock for the next washing processes and that fresh water consumption alone for the "drying" program section is completely avoided is.
- the separate water and air circuits guarantee a trouble-free process of cooling the humid air in the "drying" program section as well as a trouble-free process of filling the stored water into the rinse tank in one of the next wash program sections.
- the temperature sensor ensures the control of control elements for the introduction of a further quantity of fresh water.
- At least one vertical partition wall starting from a wall of the water inlet container is provided in the water inlet container.
- the at least one partition is expediently produced in one piece with the wall of the water inlet container.
- the blower is advantageously arranged in a moist air line running from the pump pot to the air inlet into the water inlet container.
- the moist air line is made at least partially in one piece with the water inlet container along the course thereof.
- the housing of the fan is expediently made at least partially in one piece with the moist air line and the water inlet container.
- a pump pot 2 arranged at the lower end of the rinsing container 1 moist air is introduced into the water inlet container 10 through an air inlet 13 via a moist air line 21 by means of a blower 20 which is arranged in this wet air line 21.
- the air passes through the air outlet 14 via an air outlet line 15 in a closed circuit back into the washing container 1.
- the direction of flow of the air is indicated by arrows with the designation 22.
- a temperature sensor 25 is provided in the wall of the water inlet container 10.
- the water outlet 12 In the direction of flow 22 at the lower end of the water inlet container 10 is the water outlet 12, which is closed by means of a commercially available valve, for example a solenoid valve which can be controlled by a program control unit of the household dishwasher.
- a commercially available valve for example a solenoid valve which can be controlled by a program control unit of the household dishwasher.
- the moist air line 21 is at least partially made in one piece with the water inlet container 10 over the course thereof.
- the housing of the blower 20 with the moist air line 21 and the water inlet container 10 is at least partially made in one piece.
- the dishes are stored in dish racks (not shown) in the washing container 1.
- the dishes are heated in a conventional dishwasher by means of very warm washing liquid, which in the drying program section following the pumping out of the washing liquid leads to the fact that washing liquid adhering to the dishes evaporates and is heated by the washing liquid in the washing container Air is absorbed as moisture.
- the resulting moist air is introduced according to the invention from the rinsing tank 1 by means of the blower 20 into the water inlet tank 10, which is filled with fresh water at least at the beginning of the drying section of the program. Through the air inlet 13 directed downward in the direction of flow 22, the moist air in the water inlet container 10 is directed from above onto the water surface.
- a lowest level of the water surface is indicated at 17. Since the air inlet 13 is arranged at an outer corner of the cuboidal water inlet container 10, for example, the moist air has to flow around the partition walls 16 and is given a meandering guidance over the surface of the fresh water.
- the inevitable heating of the fresh water is measured continuously or cyclically by the temperature sensor 25, which is arranged below the level 17 in the wall of the water inlet container, and compared with a definable temperature increase value. If the definable temperature increase is reached, the temperature sensor controls, e.g. by means of an impulse, control elements for filling a further quantity of fresh water into the water inlet container 10, e.g. a program controller of the dishwasher, not shown, which e.g.
- the amount of additional fresh water to be filled in can e.g. by the temperature sensor 25, e.g. when the desired colder mixing temperature is reached, or by a time pulse, e.g. can be controlled from the program control device, not shown, or by a device for quantity limitation.
- the condensate that precipitates - just like the part of the fresh water that has been filled in - is stored for the next rinsing process. Consumption of fresh water only for the drying sub-program is therefore effectively excluded with simple means.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to an arrangement for drying dishes in household dishwashers according to the preamble of
From DE-A-19 26 049 an arrangement for drying dishes in dishwashers is known, the dishwasher having a washing container, a container arranged separately from the washing container, a blower for conveying moist air from the washing container through the one separate from the washing container arranged container is equipped back to the rinsing container, fresh water being introduced into the container arranged separately from the rinsing container. During the drying program section, according to one exemplary embodiment of the known dishwasher, moist air is drawn in from the washing container by means of the blower and passed through the container which is designed as a condenser and is arranged separately from the washing container. Fresh water is introduced via a cooling water line, which is conducted in turns through the condenser, and emerges from the cooling water line in the flow direction at the end of the condenser in its outlet. The moist air is cooled along the cooling water line, so that the moisture contained in the moist air condenses and is returned as condensate to the rinsing tank via the outlet of the condenser with the fresh water flowing out.
The cooled air also flows through the condenser outlet into the rinsing container and can now absorb moisture through the dishes and be directed to the condenser. The fresh water is pumped through a drain hose into the sewer.
A disadvantage of the arrangement described above is the consumption of a large amount of fresh water solely for condensing the moisture contained in the moist air.
A dishwasher has become known from DD-A-51 687, in which, in order to avoid the above-described disadvantage, the moist air is passed through cold water filled into a heat-insulated chamber which is arranged separately from the washing container and which is filled in the next time the washing container is filled. In the device described above, the moist air rises relatively quickly through the stored fresh water in the form of bubbles and is then led out of the container. This has the disadvantage that only the surface of the air bubbles surrounded by fresh water is cooled only for a short time and sufficient cooling of the moist air is therefore not achieved, so that sufficient condensation of the moisture contained in the moist air cannot be achieved. The discharged air is therefore still very moist and, as has been shown in practice, can cause swelling on kitchen furniture adjacent to the dishwasher or on a worktop arranged above the dishwasher. Furthermore, in the embodiment of DD-A-51 687 it is described that the inlet opening for the moist air in the washing container is arranged in the region of the highest point of the washing container and the outlet opening for the moist air in the container arranged separately from the washing container in the region of the bottom of this container is arranged. In the exemplary embodiment, the warm moist air is therefore conducted downwards again in a connecting tube between the washing container and the separately arranged container. Since, as is known, moist air is moved upward, the conveyance of the moist air is not ensured in accordance with the exemplary embodiment shown in the prior publication.
The object of the invention is to provide an arrangement for drying dishes in dishwashers, in which a sufficient cooling of the moist air and a safe conveyance of the moist air is ensured in a simple manner.
According to the invention, this object is achieved in that moist air is conveyed from the rinsing container by means of a blower into the container and back there into the rinsing container, the moist air in the container being guided in a meandering guide over the surface of the fresh water stored for the next rinsing process.
By introducing the moist air onto the surface of the fresh water and guiding it in a meandering manner, the largest possible contact of the moist air with the surface of the fresh water is achieved, and thereby optimal cooling of the introduced moist air is achieved. The optimal cooling of the introduced moist air leads to sufficient condensation of the moisture contained in the moist air. The use of a blower ensures that the moist air is conveyed safely. By returning the condensed air to the washing container, a closed air circuit is created, so that an adverse effect on kitchen furniture or worktops etc. adjacent to the dishwasher is avoided.
According to a preferred feature of the invention, at least at the beginning of the “drying” program section, the container is only partially filled with fresh water. With this measure, another Fresh water savings achieved.
According to a further feature of the invention, means are provided for measuring the temperature of the fresh water stored in the container, by means of which control elements for filling a further quantity of fresh water into the container can be controlled upon detection of a definable increase in temperature. The inevitable heating of the fresh water by the humid air conducted over it is specifically eliminated with this measure while avoiding any unnecessary consumption of fresh water, so that the result of the cooling of the humid air and the condensation of the moisture contained therein remains the same over the entire drying process.
According to a further embodiment of the invention, the blower is directed in such a way that the moist air is sucked in from a pump pot arranged in the lower region of the washing container and is introduced into the upper region of the washing container again. The cooled air introduced into the upper area of the washing compartment sinks down and inevitably heats up on the dishes to be dried, absorbing moisture. To prevent the reheated air from remaining in the upper area of the washing compartment, it is drawn in from the lower area of the washing compartment, thus ensuring an optimal, closed air circuit.
The moist air in the container is advantageously directed from above onto the water surface.
According to the invention, the container is a water inlet container with at least one water inlet and one water outlet and at least one air inlet and one air outlet, in the wall of which a temperature sensor is provided.
A water inlet container is used to stock and measure the amount of fresh water required for a washing program section, so that the arrangement according to the invention ensures that the fresh water introduced during the drying program section is kept in stock for the next washing processes and that fresh water consumption alone for the "drying" program section is completely avoided is. The separate water and air circuits guarantee a trouble-free process of cooling the humid air in the "drying" program section as well as a trouble-free process of filling the stored water into the rinse tank in one of the next wash program sections. The temperature sensor ensures the control of control elements for the introduction of a further quantity of fresh water.
According to a further preferred embodiment of the invention, at least one vertical partition wall starting from a wall of the water inlet container is provided in the water inlet container. The meandering guidance of the moist air over the surface of the stored fresh water is thus effected with simple measures.
The at least one partition is expediently produced in one piece with the wall of the water inlet container.
The blower is advantageously arranged in a moist air line running from the pump pot to the air inlet into the water inlet container.
According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the moist air line is made at least partially in one piece with the water inlet container along the course thereof.
The housing of the fan is expediently made at least partially in one piece with the moist air line and the water inlet container.
The invention is explained below with reference to the embodiment shown in the drawing.

- 2 shows a section through the arrangement according to the invention in accordance with the section lines 11-11 in FIG. 1.
Separated from the
For washing in the dishwasher, dishes (not shown) are stored in dish racks (not shown) in the
