Description

The invention relates to a shower partition with at least one door that can be opened, in particular for arrangement in a corner of the room with a corner entry, in which when the door is opened, a first area of a shower tray side at a distance from a side boundary (e.g. wall of the room) for entry and exit is released.

Since bathrooms usually have a relatively small footprint, optimal use of space is required. In particular, storage options in the form of Bathroom cabinets or open shelves should be created, which in turn should be accessible from the outside as well as from the shower tray in the shower area with shower partition. Since the entire area of a shower tray side is usually not accessible for getting in and out of shower enclosures, especially for corner entrances, the area of the shower tray side next to the getting in and out is suitable for attaching cupboard and / or shelf arrangements, as a result of which the on - and the exit area is not touched.

In order to be able to accommodate such cupboard and / or shelf arrangements in connection with pivoting doors, the pivot bearings must be arranged at a distance from the room walls in order to create the required space. However, the stable mounting of such swivel bearings at a distance from the room walls is problematic and requires special measures, such as an upper holding frame, which creates the appropriate connection to the room walls. However, such frames not only mean a higher effort, but are particularly undesirable if the shower partition is to consist of frameless partition elements.

In shower partitions with sliding doors, especially in corner entry solutions, either fixed partition elements or fixed sliding door elements are provided in the area of the room walls in order to support an upper guide rail for the sliding door elements. Although these fixed elements allow cabinet and / or shelf arrangements to be accommodated in this closed area, they are not accessible from the inside of the shower base.

The present invention has for its object to securely attach the pivot bearing of swing doors at a distance from a room wall or to securely support the upper guide rail of sliding door shower partitions without requiring special frame elements or expensive brackets. In this way, in particular, the possibility of accommodating cupboard and / or shelf arrangements in this non-opening area is to be made possible at the same time.

This object is achieved according to the present invention in a shower partition of the type mentioned by a support column arranged between the first area and the adjoining, second area of the shower tray side, the upper end of which is attached to a wall of the room by means of a bracket. This support column can either stand on the floor with its lower end, or lies on the edge of the shower tray with its lower end and is attached to the wall of the room by a further, lower bracket.

In the case of a shower partition with an outwardly opening pivot door, the pivot axis of which is arranged on a shower tray side at a distance from the side boundary, the pivot bearings of the pivot door are held on the support column fastened according to the invention. In the case of a multi-part sliding door, an upper guide rail of the sliding door fastened to the room wall is supported by the support column, so that the second area of the corresponding shower tray side behind the sliding door can also be opened.

By holding the pivot bearing of a pivoting door according to the invention or supporting an upper guide rail of a sliding door, it is possible to make the cabinet and shelf arrangement arranged in the second region of the shower tray side accessible from the inside through a door leaf which can be opened from the inside. In the event that a pivot door is provided, this can be designed according to an advantageous embodiment as a so-called pivot door, the vertical pivot axis of which is arranged at a distance between the two ends to form a longer leg which can be pivoted outwards and a shorter leg which pivots inwards , the latter forming the door leaf opening inwards. If it is a normal swing door, which is supported at its end in the vertical pivot axis and covers the first area of the shower tray side, a separate door leaf is preferably provided in the area of the second area of the shower tray side, which is about a vertical axis in the area of the side boundary is pivotally mounted to open inwards.

In Fig. 1, a shower partition arranged between two room walls 7 is shown, which is constructed on a shower tray 4. A first and a second support column 1, 2 are provided, which are connected to one another in the upper region by a quarter-circular bracket 10 and are fastened to the room wall 7. The lower areas of the support columns 1 and 2 either only stand on the floor or are additionally attached to the shower tray 4, at least this is the case with the support column 1. Swivel bearings 14 are attached to the first support columns 1 of the shower partition, on each of which a swing door (pivot door) 5, 6 is suspended. Such pivoting doors (pivot doors) have a longer leg 8 in a first region 29 and a shorter leg 9 in a second region 30 of the shower tray side 28 in question, the longer leg 8 being pivoted outwards and the shorter leg 9 being pivoted inwards. The shower partition shown in Fig. 1 is designed as a corner entry shower partition, i.e. it contains two pivoting doors 5, 6, which meet at the corner of the shower tray 4 and are sealed off from one another by appropriate means. By swiveling both swing doors 5, 6 there is a relatively wide entry into the shower tray 4. However, it is also possible to design the shower partition with only one swing door 5 or 6 and to provide a fixed side element instead of the other swing door, without the inventive step Principle changes.

In Fig. 2 it can now be seen that one side of the shower partition is provided with a third support column 3, which is arranged in the area in front of the second support column 2. All three support columns 1, 2 and 3 are connected to one another by a bracket 10 designed as a semicircular plate and fastened to the room wall 7. FIG. 4 now shows a schematic plan view of the right corner area of the shower partition according to FIG. 2, the console 10 being omitted for the sake of clarity. It can be seen that the swing door 6 can be opened up to an angle of 90 ° (6 ') without being obstructed by the storage space consisting of shelves 15a between the support columns 1 to 3. The profile of the support columns 1 to 3 is shown circular or cylindrical in the exemplary embodiments, which is a particularly appealing solution in connection with frameless swing doors 5, 6. In order to securely hold the shelves 15a, cupboards 15c and showcases 15d between the support columns 1 to 3, each of the support columns 1 to 3 preferably consists of two sections, namely a continuous three-quarter circle section 16a and a quarter-circle section 16b fitting therein. In this example, too, two pivoting doors 5, 6 are suspended above axes 18 via a shower tray 4, specifically by pivot bearings 14 on a first support column 11. The support column 11 is connected via a bracket 20 to further support columns 12 and 13 and on the Room wall 7 attached to form a stable construction. Rectangular shelves 25 are arranged between the support columns 11 to 13, which form three corners of a rectangle; it can of course also be other cupboard and shelf arrangements 25 such as cupboards, showcases or the like. A stop bar 27 is arranged in the end region of the shorter leg of the swing doors 5, 6 in order to enable sealing in the closed state.

The shower partition shown in FIG. 6 can of course also be provided on one side or the other with only two support columns 11 and 12 if no cabinet and shelf arrangements 25 are to be accommodated. It is also possible to provide a further support column at the fourth corner, to which the stop bar 27 is attached.

While in the first embodiments the support columns 1, 2, 3 stood on the floor, it is also possible to attach them to the wall 7 of the room by means of a lower bracket and to place them on the edge of the shower tray 4. This does not change the accessibility of the shelves 15a and the towel rail 15b from the inside via the inwardly opened leg 9 of the swing door 6.

Figures 7 and 8 show such an embodiment of the present invention. As already mentioned, instead of the support columns 1, 2 and 3 of the first exemplary embodiments which stand on the floor, it is possible to provide support columns which rest on the edge of the shower tray 4 via a lower console 44. In Figure 7 it can be seen that a lower bracket 44 and an upper bracket 47 (each on both sides of the shower partition) are provided, which are attached to the room wall 7 and between which three support columns 41, 42, 43 are attached, which are preferably are screwed to the brackets 44, 47. At a distance from the room wall 7, pivot bearings 34 are provided on the support column 41 located in this area, each for a pivot door 32 or 33, which can be pivoted outwards in the direction of the arrow 35. The construction of the support columns 46 fastened to the brackets 44 and 47 results in a particularly stable construction without the need for an upper or lower holding frame.

From Figure 7 it can also be seen that a shower tray side 28 is divided by the pivot axis (hinges 34) into a first, usually longer area 29 and a second, usually shorter area 30. In front of the second area 30 of the shower tray side 28 each a cabinet and / or shelf arrangement 39 is provided, which can be designed in different variants. In the left area there is a closed cupboard and above it a display case, while in the right area there are open shelves and towel rails. The cupboard, the showcase, the shelves and the towel rails are of course accessible from the outside. In addition, however, as can be seen in particular from FIG. 8, they are accessible from the inside, that is to say from the shower tray 4. In Figure 8 it can be seen that the pivot door 33 can also be pivoted outward about the pivot bearing 34 - as already described. In the area of the second section 30 of the shower tray side 28, an additional door leaf 36 can be swiveled inward about a vertical swivel axis 37 (ie to the left in the drawing), indicated by the direction of the arrow 38. The vertical swivel axis 37 is arranged in the region of the room wall 7 , ie when the door wing 36 is pivoted inward, it is folded in front of the room wall 7 without obstructing the interior of the shower tray 4. This has the advantage over the first solution that when the door 36 is opened, the interior of the shower partition is less obstructed than if the pivot door 6 (FIG. 1) pivots inward with its short leg 9.

It is of course also possible to combine the individual elements of the various embodiments with one another as desired, that is to say to provide a pivot door in the embodiment according to FIGS. 7 and 8 as in the first embodiment or vice versa, in the first embodiment according to FIG. 1 a separate door leaf 36 to provide in place of the shorter leg of the pivot door 6.

In all embodiments, it is expedient to make the pivot bearing 14 adjustable so that the free ends of the longer legs 8 of the pivot doors 5, 6 can be aligned precisely with one another.

A further embodiment of the shower partition according to the invention is now shown schematically in FIG. This embodiment differs from the others in particular by the type of door for getting in and out of the shower tray 4 and by the door element through which the cabinet and / or shelf arrangement is accessible from the inside. All other parts, in particular the brackets 44 and 47 and the cabinet and / or shelf arrangement 39 (not shown again) are similar.

Normally, in sliding door solutions with corner entry, the wall-side sliding door elements (for example element 53) are arranged in a fixed manner and serve to support the upper guide rail 50. In the present embodiment, however, the first support column 41 serves this purpose, so that it remains free in the second region 30 of the shower tray side 28 and the cabinet and shelf arrangement 39 is accessible from the inside.

A larger area 29 of the shower tray side 28 is shielded by the two sliding door elements 51 and 52, and these can be pushed into the shorter area 30 of the shower tray side 28 to allow entry and exit.
