Es können Standardmesser und Rillinien verwendet werden, deren Rücken so breit und so hart sind wie ihr Schaft. Die Elastomerplatte wird nach dem Zurichten durch eine Metallplatte als Schonblech ersetzt, um eine optimale Übertragung der Druckkraft der Druckplatte auf die Trägerplatte zu gewährleisten. Das in den Figuren 1 und 2 gezeigte Bandstahlstanz- und Rillwerkzeug 15 ist zwischen einer Druckplatte 12 und einer Gegenstanzplatte 14 einer Stanzmaschine 10 angeordnet. Das Bandstahlstanz- und Rillwerkzeug 15 besteht aus einer horizontal in der Stanzmaschine 10 angeordneten Trägerplatte 16 aus Holzlaminat, die vertikale Schlitze 18 zur Aufnahme von Stanzmessern 20a, 20b zum Stanzen und Rilllinien 20c zum Rillen aufweist, die aus Bandstahl bestehen. Anschließend werden mit der Stanzmaschine 10 einige Zurichthübe durchgeführt, um die Messer 20a, 20b so einzustellen, daß ihre Schneiden 22 beim Stanzen gleichzeitig den Karton 30 durchschneiden und mit gleichem Druck belastet die Oberfläche der Gegenstanzplatte 14 berühren, um so lokale Unebenheiten der Oberfläche der Gegenstanzplatte 14, die in den Figuren 1 und 2 übertrieben dargestellt sind, und druckplattenseitig zu kompensieren und Differenzen in den Messerhöhen, das Plattenspiel und eventuelle Durchbiegungen der Druckplatte 12 und der Gegenstanzplatte 14 auszugleichen. Diese Stellung ist in Fig. 2 gezeigt.     - with strip-steel blades (20a, 20b) and/or grooving rules (20c) disposed in the slots (18) with their hardened cutting edges (22) or grooving ends projecting from the carrier plate (16) on its side facing the swage block (14);
    - with an intermediate metal plate (26) which is disposed on the side of the carrier plate (16) facing the pressure plate (2) and is in abutment with the backs (24) of the blades (20a, 20b) or of the grooving rules (20c); and
    - with an intermediate layer disposed on the side of the intermediate metal plate (26) which faces the pressure plate (12), characterized in that
    - the intermediate metal plate (26) has
       a thickness of from 0.8 to 1.5 mm,
       a yield strength Rp0.2 of from 20 to 90 N/mm²,
       a tensile strength Rm of from 65 to 150 N/mm²; and
       an elongation δ at rupture of from 3% to 35%;
    - before adjustment, the intermediate layer is an elastomer plate (28) with a Shore A hardness of from 60 to 100 and a thickness of 0.5 to 1.5 mm; and
    - after adjustment, the intermediate layer is a metal plate of corresponding thickness, which replaces the elastomer plate (28).
  2. Strip-steel stamping and grooving tool according to Claim 1, characterized in that the intermediate plate (26) is composed of aluminum or copper.
  3. Strip-steel stamping and grooving tool according to Claim 1, characterized in that the intermediate plate (26) is composed of one of the following alloys: AlMgSi, AlMg, AlCuMg, AlMn, AlMgMn.
  4. Strip-steel stamping and grooving tool according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the backs (24) of the blades (20a, 20b) and/or of the grooving rules (20c) are rounded.
  5. Method of adjusting a strip-steel stamping and grooving tool (15) according to any one of Claims 1 to 4, in which
    - an intermediate metal plate (26) carrying an intermediate layer is mounted on the upper side of the carrier plate (16);
    - a card (30) is disposed on the swage block (14); and
    - during the adjustment, the carrier plate (16) is moved towards the swage block (14) by means of the pressure plate (12) until the cutting edges (22) of all of the blades (20a, 20b) contact the swage block (14), or until the grooving rules (20c) are disposed on the card (30), whilst their backs (24) bear against the intermediate plate (26), characterized in that
    - an intermediate metal plate (26) with a thickness of 0.8 to 1.5 mm, a yield strength Rp0.2 of from 20 to 90 N/mm², a tensile strength Rm of from 65 to 150 N/mm², and an elongation δ at rupture of from 3% to 35% is used;
    - an elastomer plate (28) with a thickness of from 0.5 to 1.5 mm and a Shore A hardness of from 60 to 100 is disposed on the intermediate plate (26) as an intermediate layer; and
    - after adjustment, the elastomer plate (28) is exchanged for a metal plate of corresponding thickness.
