Die Erfindung betrifft eine Einrichtung zur Entdrahtung von Altpapierballen entsprechend dem Oberbegriff des Patentanspruchs. Eine solche Einrichtung ist bekannt aus der DE-OS 37 07 966. Bei dieser Einrichtung sind als Schneideinrichtung zwei gegeneinander in verschiedenen Richtungen verschiebbare Messerbalken mit sehr vielen Zähnen vorgesehen, die wie bei einem Haarschneideapparat zusammenwirken.
