As already mentioned, it is held to the frame 2 by the projections 10, 11 engaging in corresponding slots in the section; thus, the element 6 is prevented from turning relatively to the frame 2.
- the second element 7 should be rotated from the first against the end of the ramp-like surface 12 juxtaposed to the flat portion 17, so as to minimize the overall thickness of the device 1 (the condition of Figure 2), that is to have it set with the bearing surfaces 8, 9 closest together.
- the overall thickness of the device 1 is unaffected by the theoretical development of the terminating portion of the helical ramp surface 12 on account of the latter being levelled off where shown at 17 in the drawings. Accordingly, the minimum thickness of the device 1 will be solely given by the sum of the thicknesses of each element 6, 7 in the position shown in Figure 2.
- a suitable tool such as a blade of a screwdriver, on the serrated edge 19 of the element 7, where the latter is accessible, so as to turn it angularly over the helical ramp surface 12 which constitutes the face cam of the first element 6.
- the serrated edge 19 of the second element 7 could be rotated using a hexagon wrench of the type ordinarily employed to work socket head screws in engagement with the hole 22 in the tang 21.
- the device of this invention affords a number of advantages over known devices, among which is that of presenting in practice the same bearing surface area as with the wedge pair arrangements, while providing the same convenient operation as the drop foot devices. This enables the stresses and sideways thrusts involved in the enplacement and installation of the fixture frame to be withstood best, even with an offcentered positioning of the device.

Claims (11)
- Distanzvorrichtung (1) für zwischen einen Rahmenabschnitt (3) einer Befestigung und einem benachbarten Hilfsrahmen oder einer benachbarten Gemäuerstützfläche passende Befestigungsrahmen (2), bestehend aus einem jeweils eine Stützfläche (8, 9) aufweisenden ersten (6) und zweiten Element (7), wobei die Stützflächen (8, 9) einander benachbart und aufeinanderzu- und voneinanderfortbewegbar geführt sind,
dadurch gekennzeichnet,
daß das erste Element (6) eine Plankurve mit einer schraubenförmig rampenartigen Arbeitsfläche (12) und das zweite Element (7) einen winkelmäßig langs der rampenartigen Fläche (12) verschiebbaren und wenigstens im Bereich der Stützfläche (9) als Kreissegment ausgebildeten Schieber aufweist, wobei das Segment eine im Vergleich zur Winkelspannweite der rampenartigen Fläche kleinere Winkelabmessung aufweist. - Vorrichtung nach Anspruch 1,
dadurch gekennzeichnet,
daß das zweite Element (7) drehbar an dem ersten Element (6) angelenkt ist. - Vorrichtung nach Anspruch 1 oder 2,
dadurch gekennzeichnet,
daß sich die schraubenförmig rampenartige Arbeitsfläche (12) über eine Distanz erstreckt, die annähernd gleich der halben Schraubenganglänge ist. - Vorrichtung nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 3,
dadurch gekennzeichnet,
daß der Schieber eine Winkelerstreckung von weniger als 90° aufweist. - Vorrichtung nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche,
dadurch gekennzeichnet,
daß das zweite Element (7) durch eine an die schraubenförmig rampenartige Arbeitsfläche (12) angepaßte Profilfläche (20) verschiebbar mit der Plankurve in Verbindung steht. - Vorrichtung nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche,
dadurch gekennzeichnet,
daß auf dem zweiten Element (7) eine Greifeinrichtung zur winkelmäßigen Verschiebung des Elements auf der Rampe (12) vorgesehen ist.. - Vorrichtung nach Anspruch 6,
dadurch gekennzeichnet,
daß die Greifeinrichtung einen gezahnten Rand (19) des zweiten Elements (7) aufweist. - Vorrichtung nach Anspruch 2 und 6,
dadurch gekennzeichnet,
daß die Greifeinrichtung ein in einem Zapfen (21) ausgebildetes Loch (22) mit polygonformigem Querschnitt zum Drehen des zweiten Elements (7) auf dem ersten Element (6) aufweist. - Vorrichtung nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche,
dadurch gekennzeichnet,
daß auf dem zweiten Element (7) eine Ablöseverhinderungseinrichtung zur Verhinderung einer zufälligen Trennung der Elemente (6, 7) voneinander vorgesehen ist. - Vorrichtung nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche,
dadurch gekennzeichnet,
daß auf dem zweiten Element (7) eine Einrichtung (24, 14) zur Beschränkung der Winkelverschiebung des zweiten Elements auf dem ersten Element derart vorgesehen ist, daß die Winkelverschiebung des zweiten Elements (7) auf der Rampe (12) schrittweise einstellbar ist. - Vorrichtung nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche,
dadurch gekennzeichnet,
daß zur Begrenzung der minimalen Gesamtdicke der Vorrichtung die schraubenförmig rampenartige Arbeitsfläche (12) des ersten Elements an einem ihrer Enden und längs einer zur Rampe im wesentlichen radialen Linie durch eine plane Fläche unterbrochen ist.
