  • the bore 5 has near its top side a circular boundary edge 17, while the pin can bear near its bottom side a circular collar 18' which has greater dimensions than the edge 17.
  • the opening formed by the circular edge 17 is greater than the dimension of the pin 7, so that the latter can pass the edge 17 during the outward movement.
  • the latter in order to ensure a particularly good fixing of the pin 7 in the bore 5, can also bear near its bottom 8 a circular recess 12 into which a projecting rib 16 of the pin 7 snaps.
  • the plastic begins to melt in the region of the circular recess 11, with the result that the pin 7 is no longer retained in the circular recess 12, and therefore through the compression being removed the spring 15 presses the pin 7 upwards.
  • Such a design has the great advantage that the weld indicator element is easy to manufacture, very reliable, and creep-resistant, while damage does not affect the reliability, and the weld indicator element does not depend on the welding pressure.
  • Fig. 2 shows another embodiment in which the weld indicator element again comprises a pin 7 of polyoxymethylene material retained in a bore 5.
  • This pin 7 is integral with a coiled strip 23, also made of polyoxymethylene material.

Abstract

Est décrite une pièce de raccordement soudé en forme de manchon (1) et en matériau thermoplastique pour raccorder des tuyaux thermoplastiques (2) au moyen d'un assemblage soudé. La pièce de raccordement comprend un élément de chauffage (4) noyé à proximité de la paroi intérieure (3) et supportant des parties de raccordement (9, 9a) logées dans des chambres (10, 10a). Un indicateur de soudage en forme d'axe (7, 7') s'étendant jusqu'à la région de l'élément chauffant (4) est disposé dans un alésage (5) ménagé dans la paroi (6) de ladite pièce de raccordement. Cet indicateur est pourvu de moyens supplémentaires (15, 18, 19, 20, 21, 27 et 27') améliorant la visibilité d'une action de soudage, par l'intermédiaire de l'élément chauffant (4), au niveau de la face extérieure de la pièce de raccordement, lesdits moyens supplémentaires étant activés par la chaleur produite durant le soudage. L'élément en forme d'axe (7) peut être constitué d'un axe métallique (7) s'étendant du voisinage de l'élément chauffant (4) au voisinage de la paroi extérieure de la pièce de raccordement, ledit élément en forme d'axe (7) portant au niveau de sa face supérieure une étiquette adhésive (27, 27') réalisée dans un matériau qui change de couleur sous l'effet de la chaleur produite pendant le soudage.
