Definitions

  • the invention relates to a device for attaching and opening folding containers consisting of two half-shells, such as are used for collecting or for taking up and disposing of old material, garbage or the like, in which a hanging crosspiece projecting downwards, in particular to be arranged on a crane boom, has hydraulically actuated hooks, which can be brought into engagement with hooking elements on the two half-shells of the folding container, which are hingedly connected to one another along a swivel axis at the top, and are guided on at least one horizontal support of the suspension crossmember and a hydraulic cylinder is arranged above the horizontal support with the hook in connection.
  • the hanging crossbar to be arranged on a crane boom has hydraulically actuated hooks that protrude downwards, which with Hooking elements on the two half-shells of the folding container, which are articulated on the upper side along a pivot axis, can be brought into engagement.
  • the suspension crossmember has two horizontally displaceable hooks with hook openings lying upwards, and the hooking elements are arranged on the upper side of the half-shells of the folding container in such a way that their connecting line lies on a horizontal plane running above and at a distance from the pivot axis of the half-shells.
  • the hooks are guided on at least one horizontal support of the suspension crossmember and a hydraulic cylinder is arranged above the horizontal support, which is connected with its cylinder jacket to one hook and with its piston rod to the other hook.
  • the aim of the invention is to provide a generic device which ensures that the two container sections or half-shells of each folding container can be properly emptied in succession by remote control, for example from the driver's seat of the disposal vehicle.
  • Such a device for attaching and opening folding containers is according to the invention characterized in that the hydraulic cylinder can be brought from its basic position corresponding to the closed position of the two half-shells of the folding container into two different actuation positions, a first spreading position of the two half-shells being determinable by the first actuation position while the second actuation position of an expanded spreading position of the two half-shells and at the same time the unlocking position of a bulkhead arranged between the half-shells is associated with that in the direction of the basic position with pressure medium or in the direction the actuating positions relieved cylinder space of the - double-acting - hydraulic cylinder is assigned a metering unit, which consists of a metering cylinder, and parallel to it a manually operated 2/2-way valve and a preload valve, that the metering cylinder has a predetermined filling volume has and can be acted upon from the aforementioned cylinder chamber of the hydraulic cylinder that the biasing valve is a check valve that can only be opened to the
  • a metering unit designed in this way limits the actuating travel of the hydraulic cylinder of the device for attaching and opening folding containers to the first actuating position via the metering cylinder.
  • this hydraulic cylinder can only be moved into its second actuation position after the 2/2-way valve has been opened manually.
  • the hydraulic cylinder is finally returned to its basic position via the preload valve designed as a check valve.
  • the entire metering unit is arranged between the hydraulic cylinder and a 3/2-way valve which is automatically held in its closed position and manually movable in two different actuation positions.
  • the piston of the metering cylinder is held under tension against its filling direction and / or can be pressurized so that it can be emptied again via the 2/2-way valve brought into the open position , after the Hydraulic cylinder has reached its second actuation position.
  • the drawing shows a folding container 1 as it can be used in particular for collecting or for receiving and disposing of old material, garbage or the like. It consists of two container sections or half-shells 2a and 2b, which are connected to one another at their upper side via joints 3 in such a way that the marginal edges of their mutually facing opening sides can either be placed close together on a vertical central plane or else spread apart in a wedge shape around the joints 3 can be, as can be seen particularly clearly in FIGS. 1 and 2 of the drawing.
  • Each container section or each half-shell 2a and 2b of the folding container 1 has a hooking element 4a or 4b on its or its upper edge laterally and vertically offset from the axis of the joints 3, with which a power-driven hook 5a or 5b can be selected can couple or uncouple.
  • the power-driven hooks 5a and 5b are slidably guided on a suspension cross member 6, which in turn is carried by a crane boom 7, for example on a disposal vehicle.
  • the folding container 1 can be lifted on the one hand via the crane boom 7.
  • the hooks 5a and 5b can be displaced relative to one another by the power drive on the suspension crossmember 6 such that the two container sections or half-shells 2a and 2b of the folding container 1 can inevitably be displaced in angle relative to one another about the axes of the joints 3 connecting them.
  • the opening edges of the two container sections or half-shells 2a and 2b lie close together on a vertical plane, so that the folding container 1 is closed in itself.
  • its container sections or half-shells 2a and 2b can also be spread apart in a wedge shape around their joints 3, with a first spreading position in FIG. 1 and a second spreading position in FIG. 2 of the drawing.
  • an additional bulkhead 8 is arranged between the opening sides of the two container sections or half-shells 2a and 2b, which is in its closed position or in front of the opening side of one of the container sections or one of the half-shells 2a, 2b in the embodiment shown can be locked on or in front of that of the container section or half-shell 2b.
  • the bulkhead 8 In its locking position, the bulkhead 8 assumes at least approximately parallel position to the opening edge of the container section or the half-shell 2b, as can be clearly seen in FIGS. 1 and 2 of the drawing.
  • the bulkhead 8 is designed as a lifting and pivoting wall, which at its lower end carries latching claws 9, which can be unlocked behind abutments at the lower end of the opening side of the container section or the half-shell 2b.
  • the upper end of the bulkhead 8 carries a hinge axis 10 which runs in sliding guides which are arranged at the upper end of the container section or the half-shell 2b and which extends approximately parallel to the opening plane or the same.
  • the sliding guides for the hinge axis 10 can consist of loops.
  • the length of the sliding guides is dimensioned such that they are at least slightly larger than the depth of engagement of the locking claws 9 behind the abutments.
  • the Power-driven hooks 5a and 5b of the suspension crossmember 6 can be moved along the horizontal support of the suspension crossmember 6 by a power drive, for example a double-acting hydraulic cylinder 14.
  • a power drive for example a double-acting hydraulic cylinder 14.
  • the hydraulic cylinder 14 can be shifted between a basic position, which is assigned to the correct closed position of the folding container 1, and two different actuation positions, which in turn are assigned to different spreading or opening positions of the folding container 1.
  • the first actuation position of the hydraulic cylinder 14 can be seen in FIG. 1 of the drawing, while the second actuation position thereof can be seen in FIG. 2 of the drawing.
  • the hydraulic cylinder 14 preferably engages the hook 5a with its piston rod 14a and the hook 5b with its cylinder housing 14b in order to bring about the opening and closing of the folding container 1.
  • the bulkhead 8 When the folding container 1 is moved from a spreading or opening position corresponding to FIG. 1 into the - larger - spreading or opening position corresponding to FIG. 2, the bulkhead 8 also arrives with the abutments on the container section or on the half-shell 2b disengaged. It moves under the effect of its own weight into the hanging position shown in FIG. 2 and thereby enables the second container section or the half-shell 2b to be emptied automatically.
  • Fig. 3 of the drawing it can be seen that the hydraulic cylinder 14 is designed as a double-acting cylinder, one cylinder space 15a can be acted upon via a pressure medium line 16a, while the other cylinder space 15b via a pressure medium line 16b can be supplied with pressure medium.
  • the pressure medium lines 16a and 16b is assigned a 3/2-way valve 17 which automatically - for. B. by spring force - is held in its central shut-off position. By means of an operating handle 18, however, it can be brought from its central shut-off position into two opposite actuation positions. In the actuation position shifted to the left, the pressure medium line 16a for the cylinder space 15a is acted upon by pressure medium, while the pressure medium line 16b is relieved at the same time. In the actuated position of the 3/2-way valve 17 pushed to the right, however, pressure medium line 16 is acted upon by pressure medium, while pressure medium line 16a is relieved.
  • a metering unit 19 In the pressure medium line 16b leading to the cylinder space 15b of the hydraulic cylinder 14, a metering unit 19 is connected, which essentially comprises three functional components, namely a metering cylinder 20, a 2/2-way valve 21 and a biasing valve 22.
  • the 2/2-way valve 21 is automatically, for. B. by the action of a biasing spring 23, held in its shut-off position and can be brought into its open position manually by an operating lever 24, against the action of the spring 23.
  • the preload valve 22 which has, for example, a set pressure of approximately 20 bar, is located as a check valve in a line branch 16c to the pressure line 16b in such a way that it can only be opened in the flow direction to the cylinder space 15b.
  • the 2/2-way valve 21 When the 2/2-way valve 21 is in the closed position, the cylinder space 15b can thus only come from the pressure medium line 16b via the branch line 16b and so on bias valve 22 arranged therein are acted upon so that the hydraulic cylinder 14 reaches its basic position.
  • the cylinder space 20a of the metering cylinder 20 is in constant communication with the cylinder space 15b of the hydraulic cylinder 14 via a spur line 16d. Its maximum filling volume corresponds to a fraction of the maximum filling volume for the cylinder space 15b.
  • the cylinder space 20a of the metering cylinder 20 is closed off by a piston 20b, which, for example by a spring 20c, is pretensioned in the sense of a reduction in the filling volume for the cylinder space 20.
  • a branch line 16e of the pressure line 16b also leads into the cylinder space of the metering cylinder 20 containing the spring 20c, so that a hydraulic pressure building up here can support the action of the spring 20c.
  • the pressure line 16a comes under pressure medium pressure, while the pressure line 16b is relaxed.
  • the pressure medium flowing into the cylinder space 15a displaces the piston of the hydraulic cylinder 14 carried by the piston rod 14a from left to right, the medium located in the cylinder space 15b being displaced therefrom via the pressure line 16b. Since the 2/2-way valve 21 is in its blocking position and the preload valve 22 acts as a check valve, the medium can only be displaced from the cylinder space 15b via the pressure line 16b and the branch line 16d into the cylinder space 20a of the metering cylinder 20 until the piston 20 reaches its rear end position.
  • the operating lever 24 of the 2/2-way valve 21 must first be pushed into its open position to the left.
  • the remaining medium can now also escape from the cylinder space 15b of the hydraulic cylinder 14.
  • the metering cylinder 20 can also be emptied by the restoring action of the spring 20c with the 2/2-way valve 21 open.
  • this emptying process takes place only as long as the 2/2-way valve 21 is held in its open position by the operating lever 24 against the action of the return spring 23.
  • the 3/2-way valve 17 must first be brought into its right end position via the operating lever 18.
  • the pressure line 16a is then relieved of the hydraulic pressure, while on the other hand the pressure line 16b is acted upon by hydraulic pressure.
  • the pressure fluid then not only flows into the cylinder space 15b of the hydraulic cylinder 14 via the preload valve 22 and the branch line 16c, but it is also present via the branch line 16e at the rear of the piston 20b in the metering cylinder 20.
  • the piston 20b is advanced so far that the cylinder space 20a of the metering cylinder 20 assumes its smallest filling volume. The entire hydraulic system is now ready for a new operation.
