Definitions
- the invention relates to a ski binding, in particular ⁇ sondere a front jaw, after the Oberbegrif Anspru ⁇ f ches. 1
- a ski binding part of this type is described in AT-PS 380 639.
- the technical solution disclosed in this document has proven itself, but has the disadvantage that the known latching device enables only two layers, namely a latched and a detached position.
- a ski binding part of the type mentioned at the outset in conjunction with a complete ski binding of this type, in which a remote holder is coupled to the movable jaw unit by means of a metal band.
- the free adjustability of the toe piece according to the parent patent is also to be retained, in which case the entire ski binding with an inserted ski boot is also brought into a ski-centered position and then this position is fixed by the double locking of the locking device can.
- the object of the present invention is to achieve this object.
- DE-OS 35 23 058 has already disclosed a solution by means of which safety ski bindings with simultaneous adjustment of the toe and heel holder can not only be adapted to different skiing conditions and snow conditions, but can also be adapted to different sizes of ski shoes becomes . It was proposed according to a first variant of DE-OS 35 23 058 that the locking device has a second bolt which has an arbitrary detachable connection between one of the Forms binding parts and the connecting strap, the actuating member having a second unlocking position influencing the second bolt and the first bolt being associated with the connecting element.
- the second latch is unlocked, which fixes the position of the toe relative to the connecting element.
- the actuator can only unlock either one or the other bolt; simultaneous movement of the binding parts is not possible.
- the second latch is formed in one piece with the first latch, so that the toe in the second unlocking position of this latch is movable in the longitudinal direction of the ski relative to the latter.
- the toe piece must be mounted at a distance from the top of the ski that corresponds to the actuation path of the combined bolt, which measure is more than just that an increased design of the toe piece results, but also has an adverse effect on the dimensioning of the fastening screws.
- the latching part can be locked on the guide rail in two effective positions. In this way, however, it is also ensured that in a first unlocked position the metal band with the heel holder can be adjusted on its own and in a second unlocked position the jaw unit can also be adjusted in the longitudinal direction of the ski. Finally, the toe and heel holder can be in the desired, newly adjusted position, e.g. the ski center position of the entire binding is also taken into account and locked together again.
- the solution according to the invention further ensures that the locking device does not bring about undesired dimensional changes in the individual parts or in the entire ski binding unit, neither in length nor in height.
- a particularly complete configuration of the actuating member is achieved by the features of claim 2.
- Fig.l is a vertical section along the line I-I in Fig.4 with a schematically shown heel holder in the driving position, Fig.la a detail of the toe on an enlarged scale.
- 2 shows the ski binding, similar to FIG. 1 with an adjustable heel holder in the longitudinal direction of the ski.
- Fig.3 the ski binding, similar to Fig.l in the unlocked position of the toe.
- Fig. 4 shows the front jaw in section along the line IV-IV in Fig.l.
- a ski binding is designated 1 in its entirety. It is attached to a Ski.2.
- the ski binding 1 comprises a metal band 3 with a toe piece 4 and a heel holder 5.
- the toe piece 4 is mounted on a ski-fixed front guide rail 14 so that it can be longitudinally distributed and fixed.
- the heel holder 5 is guided freely on a ski-fixed rear guide rail 15 and is secured against lifting upwards.
- the metal band 3 extends in the longitudinal direction of the ski 2. Both the toe 4 and the heel holder 5 can be connected to the metal band 3 in a manner to be described in more detail. This makes it possible to adapt the ski binding 1 to different sizes of ski shoes in a known manner.
- a latching device with an actuating element 6 is arranged in the front jaw 4 according to the invention.
- Both the front guide rail 14 and the metal strip 3 have locking recesses 14a and 3a, which can be brought into engagement with a locking pin 7.
- the locking pin 7 is integrally connected to a piston 8, which in turn is provided with a guide rod 9 which points in a direction opposite to the locking pin 7, locking pins 7, piston 8 and guide rod 9 forming the locking part 10.
- the piston 8 is axially guided in a first, lower section 13a of a vertical recess 13 of a housing 16 of the front jaw 4. In a subsequent section 13b with a smaller diameter, the guide rod 9 is guided through the housing 16 of the front jaw 4.
- a spring 11 Arranged coaxially to the guide rod 9 in the lower section 13a of the vertical recess 13 is a spring 11 designed as a helical compression spring, which is located on one end on a first abutment 8a formed by the top of the piston 8 and on the other end on a second abutment 12 formed by the housing 16 supports and acts on the piston 8 in the axial direction.
- this spring 11 By this spring 11, the locking part 10 and thus the locking pin 7 is always pressed against the guide rail 14 and against the metal strip 3.
- the front guide rail 14 also has a series of latching recesses 14a.
- the guide rod 9 protruding from the housing 16 is mounted on an actuating member 6 by means of a cross bolt 25.
- the actuating member 6 is designed as a lever-like handle with a handle part 26, the end of the cross bolt 25 for the latching part 10 being provided on the end of the handle part 26.
- This end of the actuating member 6 also has a first surface 28 which, in the illustrated locking position (see FIG. 1.1a), lies flat on an upper side 27 of the housing 16.
- a second surface 29 extends, which with the first surface 28 on a steep curve 31 of an eccentric ters converges. On this steep curve 31 there is a first support point 32, via which the actuator 6 can be pivoted once.
- the normal distances of the individual surfaces 28,29,30, bezo ⁇ gene on the transverse pin 25, in turn, with SijSj f Ss are designated (s.insbes.Fig.la).
- the difference between the normal distances S 2 and S corresponds to the thickness of the metal strip 3 and the difference between the normal distances S 3 and S 2 corresponds to the thickness of the front guide rail 14.
- the actuating member 6 When the actuating member 6 is first swung over the first support point 32 into the position according to FIG. 2, the first support point 32 slides on the upper side 27 of the housing 16 in the direction of the center line 35 through the cross bolt 25. As soon as this support point 32 passes a plane through this center line 35 , the actuating member 6 comes into a stable position again, the second surface 29 now coming into contact with the upper side 27 of the housing 16, as shown in FIG.
- the ski binding 1 shown in FIG. 2 shows the position in which the locking pin 7 disengages from the locking recesses 3a of the metal strip 3 due to the first pivoting of the actuating member 6, and thus the heel holder 5 connected to the metal strip 3 to the desired shoe size the distance b can be adapted along the rear guide rail 15.
- the metal band 3 is provided with a casing 19 made of plastic material. In its front area, the metal strip 3 is also provided with a step plate 17, only indicated, and in its rear area with a cover 18. These configurations also do not form part of the subject matter of the present invention.

Abstract
The present invention relates to a ski binding element movable in the lengthwise direction of the ski and detachably snap-in in predetermined notching positions, on a slide (14) integral with the ski. A stop element (10) loaded by spring (11) and having an actuating element (6) adjustable in two different heights serves to immobilize the different selected positions of the ski binding element on the slide ( 14). In order to be able to use such a ski binding element at the same time as a heel holder (5) connected by means of a metal strip (3) to the ski binding element, the invention provides that the actuating element (6) has another (third) surface (22) by which the stop element (10) can be engaged at two defined heights. This makes it possible to adjust either the heel holder (5) with the metal strip (3) relative to the front jaw (4), or the two ski binding elements (4, 5) in the lengthwise direction of the ski.
