Abstract

The invention relates to cluster-type roll stand for a plurality of upper and lower back-up rollers which are each supported by supporting saddles on parallel supporting recesses (7-14) in the top part (1) and bottom part (2) of the stand. The arrangement here is such that the total supporting force of each set of supporting saddles is distributed over the surface of the supporting recesses (7, 14). In herkömmlichen Vielwalzengerüsten dieser Art (DE-OS 1652556) sind die parallelen Stützschalen als kreisbogenförmige Schalen ausgebildet. Bei einem solchen Vielwalzengerüst wird die gesamte Stützkraft von einem jeden Stützsattelsatz auf den ebenen Boden übertragen, während die Seitenwände lediglich der Führung der Stützsättel dienen. Auch in einem solchen Fall kommt es darauf an, daß zumindest die parallelen Seitenwände mit engen Maßtoleranzen gefertigt werden, weil anderenfalls die Stützkraft nicht bestimmungsgemäß auf den Boden der Ausnehmung übertragen wird. Auch lassen sich bei einer zweiteiligen Ausführung das Gerüstober- und Gerüstunterteil getrennt ohne Einbuße an Genauigkeit herstellen. Die ebenen Stützflächen stellen eindeutig bestimmte Bezugskanten dar. Maßabweichungen infolge von Bearbeitungsfehlern oder durch Verschleiß lassen sich durch einzulegende Schleißplatten in zwei Raumkoordinaten ausgleichen, so daß sich jeder Raumpunkt einstellen läßt.

dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß jede Stützschale (7-14) aus nur zwei winkglig zueinander angeordneten ebenen Stützflächen (16a,16b,17a,17b,17c,18a, 18b) bestehten, die beide einen Teil der Stützkraft aufnehmen.
