Abstract

The invention relates to cluster-type roll stand for a plurality of upper and lower back-up rollers which are each supported by supporting saddles on parallel supporting recesses (7-14) in the top part (1) and bottom part (2) of the stand. The arrangement here is such that the total supporting force of each set of supporting saddles is distributed over the surface of the supporting recesses (7, 14).
