Das Umluftgebläse ist umgeben von einem Luftheizkörper. Im Backraum befindet sich der Temperaturfühler eines die Heizkörper regelnden Temperaturreglers. Das die Heizung 1 und den Lüfter 4 umschließende Heißluftgehäuse 7 ermöglicht es in vorteilhafterweise die vom Lüfter 4 radial abgeblasene Luft mit vergleichmäßigter Intensität auf die Heizung 1 zu führen Dadurch, daß die Backofen-Rückwand 8 ein Lochgruppenmuster für die Ansaugluft des Heißluftgebläses besitzt, wobei der Lüfter 4 außermittig in der oberen Hälfte der Backofen-Rückwand 8 angeordnet ist, kann die Oberhitze und Unterhitze gerichtet in den Garraum gelangen Da der mittige Bereich der Backofen-Rückwand 8 keinen Heißluftaustritt besitzt, wird eine Temperaturvergleichmäßigung im Garraum erreicht mit einem reduzierten Umwälzeffekt der eingespeisten Heißluft. Eine direkte Heißluftzufuhr auf größere Gargutflächen wird dadurch vermieden, sofern man das Gargut mittig im Garraum plaziert.
