Definitions

  • the invention relates to a magazine for a firearm, with an essentially plastic housing for receiving cartridges which can be acted upon by a device which generates a force in the direction of an output opening of the magazine, for supporting the cartridge located in the region of the output opening at least one magazine lip is provided, a part of the magazine lip forming a support and / or guide of the cartridge when it is pushed out of the magazine being reinforced with an insert.
  • Such a magazine is generally known without further details about the insert from DE-OS 35 35 014.
  • the insert is intended to serve the magazine, especially the To protect magazine lips from premature wear, which would occur in the absence of the insert in that the front edge of the sleeve scrapes the parts of the magazine supporting this cartridge when the cartridge is fed in, ie when it is pushed out of the magazine.
  • inserts have so far been realized only by stamped parts, so that the production is expensive.
  • the end of the magazine on the output side is made entirely of metal.
  • the invention has for its object to provide a magazine of the type described, in which the manufacturing cost is reduced. This object is achieved according to the invention in that the insert from a curved profile rod z. B. a round rod is formed.
  • the insert can be formed from a profile bar of suitable material by simply cutting and bending using simple devices.
  • the profile bar can advantageously be a round bar made of metal, that is to say a wire made of a suitable material, preferably steel.
  • the insert has two sections running essentially parallel to one another and a yoke running essentially transversely to the sections mentioned.
  • the yoke which can be slightly curved, can serve as the actual guide for the cartridge when the cartridge is pushed out and / or as a support for the cartridge.
  • the yoke is at least partially outside a plane running through the two sections.
  • This insert is particularly well suited for detachable or non-detachable fastening in the housing.
  • the insert has a first section running substantially parallel to the sleeve of a cartridge stored in the magazine and in the area of the sleeve, supporting the sleeve against the constraining force, and a section arranged in the area of the projectile to the first section Has an inclined second section.
  • the cartridge can be fully supported and when the cartridge is pushed out, its front and rear ends are supported by the insert.
  • the second section is at a greater distance from the upper end of the magazine than the first section.
  • the first section mainly supports the constraining force, in particular the force of a feed spring, and the second section mainly deflects the cartridge when it is pushed out of the magazine.
  • an end portion of the insert which is aligned with a portion of the insert forming a guide, in a bore of the Magazine is inserted for attachment. This enables an easy assembly of the insert.
  • the insert in which the insert is releasably attached to the housing, it is provided that the insert is made of elastically deformable material and is snapped behind a part of the housing. As a result, the insert can be easily removed from the housing if necessary and replaced with a new insert.
  • the insert can also be non-detachably fastened in the housing, for example by adding an adhesive before insertion, and the snap-in action merely provides additional security against the insert being lost.
  • the magazine which is designed as a two-row magazine, with guide surfaces which deflect a cartridge when it is pushed out in the direction of the longitudinal center plane of the magazine which runs parallel to the longitudinal direction of the cartridge and the longitudinal direction of the two cartridge columns which can be stored in the magazine.
  • the guide surfaces are reinforced by an insert.
  • the first and the second insert can be formed together by a single part.
  • a double-row magazine has a magazine housing 1 made of plastic, which has two magazine lips 2 and 4 in the region of its output end, which alternately support the uppermost cartridge in a known manner.
  • the uppermost cartridge is the cartridge 6 shown on the right in FIG. 1, which is still supported on the lip 2 in the region of its rear end.
  • the next cartridge 8 is not yet in contact with the lip 4, because the cartridges each protrude somewhat beyond the longitudinal center plane 10 of the housing 1 and the cartridge 8 is therefore supported upwards by the cartridge 6, namely at right angles to the plane of the drawing in FIG. 1.
  • Inserts can be arranged in the magazine lips 2 in embodiments of the invention.
  • the figures only show those inserts which deflect the cartridges towards the central plane 10 of the magazine when the cartridges are pushed out of the magazine.
  • These inserts 15 and 16 are mirror-symmetrical with respect to the longitudinal center plane 10. It is therefore sufficient if only the insert 15 is described below.
  • the insert 15 has two legs 20 and 21 of equal length and spaced parallel to one another, which are inserted into bores 22 of the housing 1.

  • the yoke 24 merges into the leg 20, which extends at right angles to the short section 26.
  • the yoke 24 lies for most of its length outside a plane which passes through the legs 20 and 21 and is inclined at a small angle with respect to the longitudinal median plane 10, in such a way that the cartridge is pushed out (upwards in Fig. 1) is deflected towards the longitudinal center plane 10 when sliding along the yoke 24.
  • the inserts 15 and 16 are fastened after the manufacture of the housing 1 by inserting the legs 20 and 21 into the bores 22.
  • the yoke 24 is elastically deformed in the direction of the longitudinal center plane 10 so that it passes a locking lug 30 and engages below it. In the fully assembled state, the locking lug overlaps the yoke 24, so that the insert 15 cannot slide out of the bores 22.
  • the detent 30 overlaps the yoke 24 only approximately as far as the thickness of the yoke 24 corresponds.
  • the feeder 38 which is acted upon by a feeder spring 35, is also shown in simplified form.
  • the magazine shown in FIGS. 4 to 6 differs from the magazine shown in FIGS. 1 to 3 only in the region of the output opening of the magazine
  • the main difference is that a differently designed insert is used. Only these differences are dealt with below.
  • the magazine housing 41 has lips 42 and 44. In the area of these lips, an insert 45 and 46 made of metal, which are mirror-symmetrical to one another, is arranged. In the following only the insert 45 is described, which is also shown enlarged in FIGS. 7 and 8.
  • the insert 45 has a section 60 comparable to section 20 of FIG. 2, which is inserted into a bore 62 running in the longitudinal direction of the magazine housing 41.

  • the steel wire forming the insert 45 is bent essentially in a direction opposite the section 60 and forms a section 68 there.
  • the wire is again bent at approximately a right angle and runs from there as straight section 70, which runs parallel to section 64, up to the end 72, which is inserted into a bore 74 in the housing 41.
  • the section 68 connecting the section 70 to the section 64 is curved in accordance with the cylindrical shape of the cartridge case, so that this section 68 does not disturb the contact of the cartridge with the section 70.
  • section 70 extends essentially in the region of the cartridge sleeve over the entire length of the cartridge and thus forms in particular when the cartridge is deflected Cartridge in the direction of the longitudinal median plane an effective support for the rear edge of the sleeve, so that this edge can not wear down the magazine along the plastic parts of the cartridge.
  • section 64 corresponds to the function of section 24, which was already described in the first example.
  • this section 64 lies approximately at half the height of the cartridge and thus essentially laterally on the floor of the cartridge.
  • the section 70 lies in the uppermost cartridge, which has not yet been partially pushed out of the magazine, against the sleeve at a point which is offset to the outside by approximately 40 ° with respect to the uppermost surface line of the sleeve.
  • the insert 45 is prevented by the section 60 from moving in the longitudinal direction of the section 70.
  • the insert 45 is prevented from sliding out of the magazine in the longitudinal direction of the section 60, on the one hand by the engagement of the end 72 in the bore 74 and, on the other hand, by a groove in the magazine housing, in which the section 64 and the section 70 engage.
  • This groove allows the insert 45 to be fastened in the magazine after the manufacture of the magazine as a single piece by injection molding, by first inserting it into the bore 74 and then resiliently deforming it so that the section 60 into the bore 62 associated therewith can be used and then snaps into the groove, the depth of which is smaller than the wire thickness.
