Description

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Spannvorrichtung zum Festspannen von Werkstücken auf einer Unterlage gemäß Oberbegriff des Patentanspruches 1.The invention relates to a clamping device for clamping workpieces on a base according to the preamble of claim 1.

Eine Spannvorrichtung dieser Art ist nach dem DE-U-78 06 055 bekannt. Derartige Spannvorrichtungen dienen insbesondere zum Festspannen von zu bearbeitenden Werkstücken auf Werktischen oder besonders ausgebildeten Werkstückgestellen, insbesondere bei der Serienfertigung. Diese Spannvorrichtungen erfüllen hinsichtlich ihrer Betätigung und Spannfunktion die an sie zu stellenden Forderungen einer einwandfreien und dauerhaften Fixierung des Werkstückes auf ihrer Unterlage. Diese einwandfreie Funktion kann allerdings dann beeinträchtigt werden, wenn am betreffenden Werkstück spanabhebende Bearbeitungen vorzunehmen sind, wobei durchaus der Fall eintreten kann, daß Bearbeitungsspäne in die Verstellmechanik derartiger Spannvorrichtungen geraten. Wenn dabei feine Späne zwischen die Gelenkglieder gelangen, kann dies zum Verklemmen der Gelenkglieder oder im krassen Fall sogar zur Beschädigung der betreffenden Spannvorrichtung führen, so daß diese ausgetauscht werden muß. Die Möglichkeit, daß Späne in die Betätigungsmechanik derartiger Spannvorrichtungen geraten können, ist dadurch gegeben, daß diese zwischen den Gabelteilen eines Kopfstückes der Vorrichtung gelagert ist, und der Spalt zwischen den Gabelteilen völlig freiliegt, was auch notwendig ist, da der Stellweg des Spannhebels von seiner Spannstellung bis zur Rückstellposition frei sein muß, um die Schwenkbewegung des Spannarmes überhaupt bewirken zu können. Aus diesem Grunde ist nach dem eingangs genannten DE-U-78 06 055 bereits vorgeschlagen worden, im Bereich des herausragenden Spannarmes zwischen den Seitenflanken eine elastische, mit dem Spannhebel hochbiegbare Abdeckung anzuordnen. Da die öffnungswinkel der Spannhebel mindestens 90° betragen, in der Regel aber noch wesentlich größer sind (bis zu 120°), ist dieses Abdeckelement extremen Wechselbelastungen ausgesetzt, die entweder zum baldigen Bruch führen oder das Abdeckelement trotz seiner Elastizität derart bleibend verformen, daß es in Spannstellung des Spannarmes seine Abdeckfunktion nicht mehr einwandfrei erfüllt. Vermutlich aus diesem Grunde ist deshalb nach der FR-A-25 50 115 eine vollständige Abkapselung im Kopfbereich solcher Spannvorrichtungen vorgeschlagen worden, die jedoch nur dadurch ermöglicht ist, daß der Spannhebel auf einem seitlich aus dem Kopfstück herausragenden Gelenkzapfen sitzt, d.h., man mußte hierbei auf die günstigere Doppellagerung beidseitig neben dem Spannarm verzichten. Gleiches gilt für eine Spannvorrichtung nach der FR-A-24 27 179. Nach dem gleichen Prinzip wie die Spannvorrichtung gemäß DE-U-78 06 055 sind Spannvorrichtungen gemäß DE-U-89 08 289.3 gestaltet, wobei jedoch das Abdeckelement in sich gelenkig ausgebildet und/oder am Kopfstück gelenkig gelagert ist. Übersehen ist dabei, daß beim Zurückschwenken, Zusammenfalten oder Zusammenbiegen des Abdeckelementes seitliche Zugänge zum Raum unter dem Abdeckelement entstehen, in den also dadurch ohne weiteres Späne od. dgl. eindringen können. Eine wesentlich bessere Lösung tellte dazu eine Spannvorrichtung nach der DE-A-36 02 738 dar, bei der der zu schützende Innenraum mit einem vom Spannhebel ausziehbaren Rollo aus geeignetem Material abgedeckt wird.A tensioning device of this type is known from DE-U-78 06 055. Wie aus den Fig. 1, 2 ersichtlich, besteht die Spannvorrichtung aus einem gabelartig ausgebildeten Kopfstück 1, zwischen dessen Gabelteilen 2 der um eine Achse 3 schwenkbare Spannarm 4 und die diesen schwenkenden Gelenk- und Betätigungsglieder 5, 6 (Zwischenglied 5 und Kolbenstange 6) gelagert sind, wobei der Raum zwischen den Gabelteilen 2 im Bereich des oberen Kopfstückes 1 mit einem Abdeckelement 7 abgedeckt ist. Wesentlich für eine solche Spannvorrichtung ist nun, daß das Abdeckelement 7 in Form eines Kreisbogenstückes 8 ausgebildet ist, dessen Mittelpunkt M in der Schwenkachse 3 des Spannarmes liegt. Das um den Mittelpunkt M schwenkbare Kreisbogenstück 8 ist bei dieser Ausführungsform im Spalt 9 (Fig. 3) zwischen den Gabelteilen 2 des Kopfstückes 1 geführt. Die Länge des Kreisbogenstückes 8 ist so bemessen, daß mindestens die beiden Gelenke 10, 11 des Gelenkgliedes 11 überdeckt sind. Um das Abdeckelement 7 bzw. das Kreisbogenstück 8 durch den Spannarm 4 entsprechend bewegen zu können, ist das Kreisbogenstück mit seinem spannarmseitigen Ende 12 mit dem achsnahen Teil 4' des Spannarmes 4 in Wirkverbindung bringbar bzw. mit diesem in Wirkverbindung stehend ausgebildet. Dargestellt ist dabei in den Fig. 1 die Ausführungsform, bei der das Abdeckelement 7 in Wirkverbindung mit dem Spannarm bringbar ist, d.h., das Kreisbogenstück 8 ist nicht unmittelbar mit dem Spannarm 4 gekoppelt, sondern am achsnahen Teil 4' des Spannarmes 4 ist ein Mitnehmerfortsatz 14 vorgesehen und das Kreisbogenstück 8 weist an beiden Enden 12, 12' Schleppfahnen 15 für den zwischen den Fahnen 15 beweglichen Mitnehmerfortsatz 14 auf. Die spannarmferne Schleppfahne 15 ist dabei noch nicht einmal zwingend notwendig, da das Abdeckelement 7 sowieso beim Rückschwenken des Spannarmes 4 in die öffnungsstellung gemäß Fig. 2 zurückgedrückt wird. dadurch gekennzeichnet,
daß das Abdeckelement (7) in Form eines Kreisbogenstückes (8) ausgebildet ist, dessen Mittelpunkt (M) in der Schwenkachse (3) des Spannarmes (4) liegt und das an den Gabelteilen (2) des Kopfstückes (1) in oder auf angepaßt kreisbogenförmigen Führungen (13) geführt ist.
