Claims (1)

  1. Procédé d'étirage en continu de tubes métalliques sans soudure, notamment de tubes en cuivre, à l'aide d'un mandrin placé dans le tube et d'une matrice réduisant le diamètre extérieur du tube, procédé selon lequel on diminue l'épaisseur de la paroi par coopération du mandrin et de la matrice et une force de traction est appliquée au tube en aval de la matrice, et on réunit au moins deux longueurs de tube avant de les étirer, en les réunissant par les extrémités non déformées, par soudure,
    procédé caractérisé en ce qu'on soumet les jonctions entre les longueurs de tube à une déformation locale à froid pour les mettre pratiquement au même niveau de résistance que les autres parties de la matière de tube directement adjacente et en ce qu'on étire les longueurs de tube y compris les jonctions à une même épaisseur de paroi, en réduisant la vitesse d'étirage au niveau des jonctions.
