Bei einer Kontraktion der Piezotranslatoren 16 wird die erforderliche Zugkraft an der Abstützleiste 7 von der Feder 10 aufgebracht. Ein Ansteigen bzw. Absinken des Anpreßdrucks des Schabermessers 6 bewirkt die gewünschte Verminderung bzw. Claims (7)

  1. Device for coating a material strip (2) guided around a counter-roller (3), having a doctor blade (6) which can be pressed against the counter-roller (3) and having adjusting elements for influencing the contact pressure, which adjusting elements, disposed across the width of the blade, act upon individual regions of the doctor blade (6), characterised in that, as adjusting elements, piezotranslators (16) are used.
  2. Device according to Claim 1, characterised in that the piezotranslators (16) act, in an individually controllable manner, upon a flexible supporting strip (7), which bears beneath the doctor blade tip against the doctor blade (6).
  3. Device according to Claim 1 or 2, characterised in that the piezotranslators (16) act upon the doctor blade (6) indirectly via translation elements, in particular via a lever mechanism (8, 12-14) or via elements driven by a pressure medium, having a path-translation ratio greater than 1.
  4. Device according to Claim 3, characterised in that the ratio of the length alteration of the piezotranslator (16) to the path of adjustment of the doctor blade (6) at its point of application is less than 10:1, preferably about 4:1.
  5. Device according to one of Claims 1 to 4, characterised by a spring (10) which counteracts the contact pressure of the doctor blade (6) against the counter-roller (3) by means of the piezotranslator (16).
  6. Device according to Claim 5, characterised by means (11) for adjusting the counter-force of the spring (10).
  7. Device according to one of Claims 1 to 6, characterised in that the piezotranslators (16) are mounted, in order to set a basic position of the doctor blade (6), displaceably in the direction of the counter-roller (3).
