Definitions
- the invention relates to a creped tissue paper, the basis weight of which is 14-16 g / m 2 atro.
- tissue paper are used in particular for the production of hygiene paper, for example toilet paper, handkerchiefs, facial tissues or kitchen towels.
- hygiene paper for example toilet paper, handkerchiefs, facial tissues or kitchen towels.
- they are put together on laying machines to form 2-layer, 3-layer or 4-layer sheets and, if necessary, stamped together.
- Their special properties are that they are remarkably tear-resistant with great softness and are also suitable for absorbing practically sufficient amounts of liquid.
- bleached raw cellulose is produced from various types of wood, for example spruce wood, beech wood, eucalyptus wood, by chemical wet digestion using the sulfite or sulfate process.
- the bleached raw pulp fibers are suspended in water for the production of tissue paper and then formed into a web on the paper machine, usually on the twin-wire paper machine.
- the web is finally dried on a heated drying cylinder, with sufficient adhesion of the web to the cylinder surface being ensured by spraying an adhesive onto the surface of the drying cylinder or by adding adhesive chemicals to the stock suspension.
- the web dries with a single revolution of the cylinder; the web is then scraped off the cylinder surface using a scraper with creping.
- the dry tensile strengths achieved in the longitudinal direction vary depending on the basis weight. For a 1-ply web with a basis weight of 15 g / m 2 lutro, dry tensile strengths in the machine direction of 6-7 N / 50 mm are generally achieved.
- the prerequisite for the production of creped tissue paper qualities of this type is the use of bleached raw pulp grades, the lignin content of which is practically reduced to zero%.
- the use of unbleached cellulose grades has not been considered for high-quality hygienic paper, since the residual lignin content in the unbleached cellulose leads to rough tissue qualities.
- it would be desirable to be able to use unbleached raw pulp for the production of tissue paper since it is known that the chlorine bleaching process that was previously necessary and also carried out leads to wastewater heavily contaminated with dirt and toxins. In particular, it interferes with the inevitable formation of toxic chlorine dioxins, which pollute the wastewater. This is basically not a problem of the actual tissue paper production, but concerns the pulp manufacturing; nevertheless, the entire chain from the initial wood to the finished tissue product must be taken into account from an environmental point of view.
- the invention is therefore based on the object of proposing a creped cellulose tissue paper with improved dry tear strength in the machine direction and improved tactile softness.
- tissue webs with a basis weight of 15.2 ⁇ 0.5 g / m 2 lutro (1-ply) were produced.
- the weight per unit area is reduced by approx. 0.2 g / m 2 by stretching the web, by processing by a further 0.5 to 0.7 g / m 2 .
- tissue webs of the same basis weight were then produced on the same paper machine using unbleached sulfate raw pulp.
- 2-ply and 3-ply toilet paper sheets and 4-ply handkerchief sheets were produced from both webs on fabrication laying machines and various paper-technical measured values were determined on them. The following compilation shows the result.
- the products produced had a tactile softness that was superior to that of bleached pulp webs.
- the products produced therefore have good properties in terms of dry tensile strength in the machine direction and also good tactile softness.
- they sometimes have the disadvantage that a slight smell is noticeable when the wipes are moistened, similar to the case with moist wrapping paper. It was determined by further experiments that this odor can be completely eliminated if the paper contains 5-30% by weight, preferably 25% by weight, of unbleached sulfite pulp fibers. This admixture has no influence on the strength or the tactile properties; however, it causes the paper produced to be odorless in both dry and wet conditions.

Description

- Suspendieren von ungebleichtem Rohzellstoff in Wasser bis zu einer Faserstoffkonzentration von 0,2-0.3 Gewichtsprozent;
- Überführen der Bahn auf einen beheizten Trockenzylinder, der kurz vor dem Auflegen der nassen Papierbahn mit einer gegenüber dem Üblichen stark reduzierten Haftmittelmenge von 0,2-0,4 g/m2 12 %ige Lösung besprüht worden war;
