Definitions
- the invention relates to a melt-bond-strengthened spunbonded fabric made from supporting filaments and binder filaments which serve as melt binders and which consist of polyester.
- Spunbonded nonwovens of this type are known for example from DE-PS 22 40 437 and DE-OS 36 42 089. These previously known spunbonded nonwovens, in which both the supporting filaments and the binder filaments can consist of polyesters, serve in particular as reinforcing and carrier materials in the manufacture of needled felt and tufting.
- filaments of a relatively coarse individual titer of more than 8 dtex are used.
- the proportion of binder filaments is relatively high and is 10 to 30%, preferably between 15 and 25%.
- individual titres of 5 or 12 dtex are given in the examples; the proportion of binder filaments is between 10 and 50%, preferably between 15 and 30%.
- the weight per unit area is stated to be greater than 120 g / m2.
- a similar spunbonded fabric is described in DE-OS 34 19 675.
- This spunbonded nonwoven which is to be used as a reinforcement in roofing and waterproofing membranes, has load-bearing filaments made of polyethylene glycol terephthalate and binder filaments made of polybutylene glycol terephthalate.
- the proportion of binder filaments should be 10 to 30%.
- the values for the basis weight are 100, 140 and 180 g / m2, for the individual titer 4.5 and 5.6 dtex and for the proportion of binder filaments 10 to 30%. specified.
- the invention has for its object to provide a melt-bond-strengthened spunbond which is characterized by a high dynamic efficiency, i.e. a high resistance to alternating loads.
- a melt-bonded spunbonded nonwoven of the type specified at the outset is characterized in that the basis weight of the spunbonded nonwoven in the range between 20 and 120 g / m2, the individual titer of the supporting filaments and binder filaments in the range between 1 and 7 dtex and the proportion of the binder filaments below 10 percent by weight.
- the spunbonded nonwoven formed according to the invention is a comparatively fine-titled light spunbonded nonwoven with a low basis weight and a low proportion of melt binder. Surprisingly, it has been found that the light spunbonded nonwoven formed according to the invention has good strength properties despite a relatively small proportion of binder filaments.
- the spun-bonded nonwoven formed according to the invention is characterized by a high dynamic efficiency. This means that the spunbonded fabric can very well be exposed to an alternating load, for example a buckling load. It is therefore particularly suitable as a reinforcement for shoes and clothing or also for use with curtains and blinds.
- the low dynamic range and the low proportion of binder filaments as well as the comparatively fine filament titer in connection with the selected material pairing (polyester - polyester) are obviously responsible for the high dynamic efficiency.
- the basis weight of the spunbonded nonwoven is preferably between 30 and 100 g / m2, in particular 30 and 90 g / m2, the individual titer of the filaments between 1 and 5 dtex, in particular 1 and 4 dtex, and the proportion of the binder filaments between 5 and 10 percent by weight.
- the titer of the binder filaments is preferably chosen to be smaller than the titer of the supporting filaments.
- the load-bearing filaments preferably consist of polyethylene terephthalate, while the melt binder consists of polymers whose melting point is more than 10 ° C., in particular 30 ° C., below the melting point of the load-bearing filaments.
- Polybutylene terephthalate or modified polyethylene terephthalate with a correspondingly lowered melting point is preferably used as the melt binder.
- the load-bearing filaments made of flame-retardant modified polyesters such as z. B. describes the DE-PS 23 46 787 exist.
- the binder filaments preferably also consist of a flame-retardant modified raw material, e.g. from polybutylene terephthalate, in particular as described in DE-PS 25 26 749.
- an antistatic such as e.g. Soot introduced into the spunbond.
- the spunbonded nonwoven formed according to the invention can be produced in particular using a rotating baffle plate and a downstream guide surface, as z. B. is described in DE-PS 27 13 241.
- the fleece is deposited preferably through series-connected rows of spinnerets, so that a layer structure of supporting filaments and binder filaments is created.
- the two outer layers expediently contain no binder filaments.
- thermal pre-consolidation as described for example in DE-PS 33 22 936, and subsequent final thermal consolidation, e.g. with smooth or profiled roller.
- the thermal solidification is particularly preferably carried out by hot air, e.g. in screen drum fixers, which are followed by a pair of embossing rollers.
- the light spunbonded nonwoven formed according to the invention is free from resinous binders and is therefore inherently flame retardant.
- the low flammability can be improved further by suitable selection of flame-retardant modified raw materials for the supporting filaments and the binder filaments.
- These flame-retardant light spunbonded nonwovens can then also be used in rooms at risk of fire, e.g. B. as a carrier material for curtains, wallpaper, blinds, or as components for seat covers in vehicles or aircraft.
- Particularly voluminous spunbonded nonwovens result from the lowest possible proportion of binder filaments and a sieve drum fixation. These spunbonded nonwovens also have a surface structure with many fiber ends, which significantly increases the adhesion of coating materials made of PVC or bitumen. Such voluminous spunbonded nonwovens with a fiber-rich surface are also suitable for producing filter fabrics.
- antistatic agents in the simplest case of soot, in the melting cylinder also permits the use of the spunbonded nonwoven according to the invention in potentially explosive zones or as a filter medium for clean rooms.
- the dyeability of the melt binder can be adapted to that of the supporting filaments by modifying the melt binder raw material; instead, the different dyeability can also be used to create interesting color effects.
